  1. You folks sure got me beat. I have all 7 seasons of Dukes on DVD that I'm watching for the fourth time (in order) and that's it. I'm making it a habit to watch all 7 seasons every year. There's less than 150 episodes so I don't even have to watch one every other day to do that. My wife got the first and second season of Dallas and I tried to watch it but just couldn't get into it.
  2. You're right again Emy-Rae. Thanks for adding a quote from that episode MaryAnne. Description: Speaking of look-alikes who weren't nice fellas, Boss buys masks and hires two boys to make it look like Bo and Luke are thieves. (The masks were so realistic, I thought for a second there that it really was Tom and John) LOL
  3. Congratulations daisyxenos. Today (July 1) is half time so keep up the good work. I've met all my financial goals so I'm still in the running to be one of folks who successfully finishes the contest.
  4. Wow I'm surprised that this question has gone this long without being answered. Here's another hint: Think about a large denominational bill with a guy on it who has never been a United States President.
  5. Wild West
  6. Cher (I'm not a big Cher fan but I love the song "Cherokee People")
  7. Native American
  8. After listening to Dukes creator Gy Waldron (season 3...disc 4.....side A) I am convinced that Sonny Shroyer was destined to play Enos. Gy and Sonny went to college together at the University of Georgia so when he was creating the Dukes he had Sonny in mind as the person who was best qualified to play Enos. Mr Waldron called the producer and told him about Sonny but the producer completely forgot. Some time later the producer was talking to Gy and said that he had found a great actor at a casting call who fit the part of Enos perfectly and his name was Sonny Shroyer!!! No doubt about it. Sonny was destined to play Enos. And to the delight of millions of people worldwide, that destiny was fullfilled!!
  9. Bo and daisyxenos both got it right. It was 9 barrels. Thanks for the quote from that episode MaryAnne. It put a smile on my face. From "Duke vs Duke" who did Cooter say looks like Boss Hogg? HINT: The answer can be found on United States paper money.
  10. archery

  12. road (I'm watching "The Canterbury Crock" as I type this and two minutes ago they mentioned a dip in the road...LOL)
  13. Well Captain, if you could have resisted you wouldn't have clicked on the thread. If you could have resisted, you wouldn't have posted. By saying the you can't resist I was NOT being critical....(since I can relate to clicking on the thread even though something inside me questions that decision.) I'll make you a deal. Let's see who can resist posting on this thread longest, you or me. If you accept, please post "I ACCEPT" and nothing else on your next post. As soon as I see you have typed that in, I won't post on this thread anymore. Maybe we can slow down the momentum of hard feelings that seems to be building. This would set an example to everyone else that this thread has been overdone and should be put to rest. However, the bottom line is that the nature of a thread like this is to voice an opinion and if you and I boycott it with a personal contest, we'll have to accept that we can't change other people if they want to participate
  14. dessert (has anybody else ever noticed that our word association turns to food quite often?) LOL
  15. That was a pretty funny quote by daisyxenos. I sure got a chuckle out of it. I never bring the subject up but I can't seem to resist responding whenever someone else does. I agree with you Lori. There's an old saying... "Ignore it and it will go away". I guess we could add to that and make it a modern saying.. "Ignore it and it will go away...and if it doesn't, don't click on the thread" I can see why Captain can't resist though. I know I can't.
  16. This one's on "The Hack of Hazzard" from season 3 "Hazzard sure is tough on strangers....'till they get the hang of it."
  17. daisyxenos and Bo both got it right. From "The Legacy" what did Lucinda Meadow's late husband leave her? A) 9 fake antique swords 24 fake antique swords C) 9,000 dollars in counterfeit money D) 24,000 dollars in counterfeit money E) 9 barrels of bad moonshine F) 24 barrels of bad moonshine
  18. I was one of those 14 million people who bought that poster. Since I have a wife that's a zillion zillion times prettier than that, I threw it away. I'd never throw any of my Daisy Duke stuff away though 'cause she's family.
  19. I've only ever seen one episode of "Family Guy" and that's because I was told that it was a Dukes episode. The station wagon General Lee was hilarious. It could jump over anything!!
  20. BLT sandwich
  21. I liked what you said about the writing and plots of the Coy and Vance episodes Garrett. In addition to what I said about the other actors holding the show up during season 5, I should have included the writers. I wonder if some of those were plots were created before the writers knew that Bo and Luke wouldn't be there. I guess it wouldn't have been too tough to adjust the scripts to different Duke boys. (Bear in mind that I'm just speculating here and have no idea if that's the case) Another thing that made season 5 enjoyable is Enos coming home from California.....although I did miss his adventures in the big city.....what I wouldn't give for those episodes on DVD!! Grits and greens strike again!!!!
  22. Which of these were on the show? Miller's Creek Road or Wattsburg County Hogg's Shoe and Hat Emporium or J.D. Hogg Logging and Sawmill Dolly Parton or Dottie West
  23. Denver C gets another one right. Description: There's a bad guy in town who looks exactly like our favorite sheriff
