  2. That's hilarious Hoss!! But seriousely, hopefully it's a little consolation. I'm sure he's pretty upset about the cancellation.
  3. I missed the first few minutes of the interview, It was from 1996. NPR said that it will be available on their website at NPRmusic.org
  4. bottle (it's been awhile since those three bullfrogs were advertising Bud)
  5. The show scheduled for September 4th has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond Ray's control but he's planning on making a jump on Friday, September 24th instead. Details are available at his website at www.northeastohiodukes.com.
  6. Well, there's good news and bad news. The show scheduled for Sept 4th has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond Ray's control but he has scheduled a jump for Friday September 24th instead. Go to the website at www.northeastohiodukes.com for more information.
  7. It's been awhile since the HazzardNet has had a Fan of the Month who doesn't post on a regular basis but Ray Kohn of Northeast Ohio Dukes sure deserves the honor and that's exactly what he's getting for the month of September. We'll soon start to see the temperatures cool off after Labor Day passes but Ray's love of the Dukes of Hazzard will always be as hot as the General Lee's exhaust pipes. In fact, he's going to be taking his love of the show to a high level to start the month off....literally. Once again, he's going to be flying the orange 01 Charger in his Dukes of Hazzard Stunt Show on September 4th. Go to the "Sept 4th Dukes Stunt Show" thread for more information and go to Ray's website www.Northeastohiodukes.com for even more details. While you're there check out the videos of some of his previous adventures in the General Lee. It's hard to say what seperates a fan from a superfan but there's no doubt that Ray is about as much of a superfan as a person can get. His love of the show runs deeper than the bottomless quicksand in the Hazzard Swamp and his accomplishments in promoting the greatest television show in history are legendary. Some people DO and some people WATCH and Ray most definitely fits into the first catagory. While most of us are content to slip our DVDs in and express our love of Hazzard County on the HazzardNet, Ray lives it. His three top priorites in life are family, friends and fun and Ray manages to weave all three of them into his love of the TV show, his stunt show and his club, the Northeast Ohio Dukes. Ray plays Bo Duke in the stunt shows and for good reasons...he loves action, he's not afraid to take a chance, he shows respect to everybody around him, he's friendly and polite, he cares about his family and community, his energy level is sky high and he'll be the first one there if someone needs help. If you check out his website, you'll see that he became a Dukes fan on the day he was born. The love of the show runs in his family. In fact, CMT did a television special that featured them in 2007. If ever there was a family that reminded you of the Dukes, it's the Kohns and it all started with Ray's father who is the Uncle Jesse of the family. Mr Kohn even owns a 1973 white Ford F-150 that's identical to the Dukes patriarch's. Ray's favorite episode is "The Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough." He wore out the part of the DVD on that episode where three General Lees are driving beside each other. He has all 7 seasons on DVD and they're all wore out from overuse too. He's been to seven DukesFests and has met all the surviving stars multiple times and knows some of them very well. Here's a shocker. He might play Bo on his stunt show but his favorite character is.....Luke! Yep, that's not a misprint. Ray's experiences with the Dukes of Hazzard are truly the stuff of legends. If there was ever a contest to see who the greatest Dukes of Hazzard fan of all time was, a lot of folks here on the HazzardNet would certainly be in the running. While we were all standing around arguing who's the biggest, Ray would just jump over the whole group of us with his Dixie horn blaring. That might not answer the question of who the biggest fan is, but it would sure get our attention....and getting attention for the greatest television show ever, is what Ray Kohn does best.
  8. National Public Radio (NPR) is airing old interviews of country music stars this week. Tomorrow (Wed) at 3:00 Eastern Standard Time they will feature Waylon and Willie. I think they're airing the Willie interview first. It sure would be cool if the Waylon interview occured when Dukes was being filmed and he mentions our favorite show. If you miss it, it might be available on their website after Wednesday. I'm not sure though.
  9. The only one I like is black because the General used to be that color. Although I have to admit, dark blue looks sharp.
  10. Tomorrow, an old interview of Waylon Jennings is going to be on NPR (National Public Radio). I think the show is going to lead with Willie Nelson though. It would be awesome if the interview took place while Dukes was being filmed. Maybe he mentioned it. If you miss it, I bet you can probably catch it on NPRs website. Just to clarify...the interview will aired September 1 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. NPR is doing a series of old interviews from country music stars this week.
  11. I know the two answers to this one but I'd like to see someone else get it first. If it's not answered in 24 hours I'll answer.
  12. Thanks for posting that Hoss. The car is awesome!!!! So are the little baby cars clinging to their mama.

  15. Walking directly into his bedroom without realizing how much he had hurt Bo, Jesse was preoccupied on thinking about the next couple of days. He would never tell Bo but he was starting to wonder if he was up for such a dangerous adventure. After all, there's a lot of ways to get hurt, or worse, in a place as inhospitable as the Hazzard Swamp. Still, the excitement of the adventure took him back to his youth....before he got married and had no real responsibilities except helping his parents and grandpa on the farm where he still resides. That was a time that he was indestructable. Those were his glory days. He was bound and determined that he would laugh at danger again and this would be that time. Jesse busily walked between the bedroom and kitchen gathering stuff up for a long visit to the swamp....extra clothes, matches, knives, water and food, a tent, shotgun, ammo, first aid kit, walkie talkie, extra batteries, etc. In reality he didn't need any of that but he knew it would make life easier. He still had the skills to survive without those things. He knew which wild plants were edible and which were poison. He knew how to make and set a snare trap and start a fire with sticks. It was the monster he was concerned about....and the secret he had kept from Bo scared him even more. He wondered if he should reveal it to his nephew. It was something that he had never revealed to anyone except his wife, but it seemed like Bo deserved to know.

  19. We're having four 90 degree days in a row up here but the forecast for the day of the show is a lot cooler.....that is until those stunt men heat things back up again!!
  20. Welcome to the HazzardNet!!

  21. Congratulations TomBo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another Dukes fan coming into this world....now that's cause for celebration!!
  22. *Jesse responds with strong anger* "Now you listen here young man, before you was born, before Luke and Daisy was born and before all yer parents was even born, me and Andrew Harkness was best friends. I could tell ya stories that'd curl yer hair about some of the things me and him has been through. Not only that but he has two purple hearts and a Congressional Medal of Honor so you'd better take notice when someone like him says something....not that it's any of yer business what he said.....When an honorable man like Andrew Harkness speaks, Jesse Duke listens. I ain't just a sittin' around doing nothing. He has more metal in his legs from the war than the General Lee has in its engine and he's not able to get around and protect folks from whatever it is that's out there terrorizing 'em so it's about time an able bodied man helps out some and does a little investigating." *Jesse calms down and speaks softly* "Now you can do what ya want. Ya can stay here and watch the farm or ya can make arrangements with someone else and come with me. I'm heading in to pack some things" *Jesse walks in house*
  23. I have to get ahold of set 1. I don't know whatever happened to mine.
  24. I wonder if 'ol Cooter's taking off work Monday to celebrate his birthday? After all the buttermilks I saw him chugging at the Boar's Nest tonight I doubt he's going to be in any shape to drive his wrecker.
