  1. Sounds good to me. We've had two in the past as I recall. The one on the 18th might be kinda boring without BoJames though.
  2. Welcome to the HazzardNet. So, how long have you been a fan of the Dukes of Hazzard? Do you have a favorite character?

  4. Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is standing in front of us. Both of these holidays remind us of how much we have to be thankful for. The moderators of the HazzardNet aren't eligible to receive the Fan of the Month award and since Santa is watching we're not going to break the rules. We are going to bend them a little by saving the best for last and designating the final month of the year as a time to honor our moderators. Meadowmufn, MaryAnne and Brian are like parents to us. If it weren't for them we wouldn't exist. We might not owe them our physical lives but we certainly owe them thanks for giving us a very important part of our lives.....the part where we come together as a family to honor and pay tribute to the greatest show to ever grace a television. The HazzardNet has been around for over 10 years now. It's a lot like a small town. Thousands of people have lived here in the last decade. Hundreds of them are active in the community and millions of tourists have passed through checking out this friendly little place. Pardon another analogy but Meadowmufn, MaryAnne and Brian are the founders of this town and should have statutes in the town square. (Hmmm, I wonder which statute would accumulate the most bird droppings?) The history of the HazzardNet is the stuff of legends with Brian and MaryAnne following our Supreme Superior Commander (Meadowmufn) and making Dukes of Hazzard history by providing a place for Hazzardites all over the world to hang out together. The Dukes of Hazzard is many things to many people. Everybody has their own reasons to love the show. Some folks here have been fans since the show first came out and some here are teenagers who have the very important task of handing the tradition down to future generations long after the older folks have passed on to Hazzard heaven. Having a place like the HazzardNet to express our love of all things Hazzard is a blessing to serious and casual fans alike. Without our moderators creating and maintaining this place, a whole town full of folks would be like lost sheep in the desert without any direction (I'll skip the shepherd thing. Two analogies are enough in one tribute) The HazzardNet isn't simply just a website on a computer. It's a place we come together to celebrate the real spirit of Hazzard County. It's a place where we come to enjoy God, family, fun, adventure, community spirit and something that we don't have enough of in this old world, happy endings. Fortunately for us, there'll be no ending for the HazzardNet. This place will be here as long as the internet exists. As far as the happy part goes, the HazzardNet is the very defintion of the word "happy" to us Dukes fans. This happy place might not have an ending but it certainly had a humble beginning and thanks to Meadowmufn, Brian and MaryAnne, the millions of smiles and laughs created because of its existence are just getting started. Thanks for all you do moderators. We appreciate you and we love you.
  5. LOL Very nice Hoss. It put a smile on my face (and it's still there)
  6. *Daisy stood at the front of the classroom speaking to the students while Jesse stood beside a window occasionally glancing outside.* Daisy's voice was enthusiastic. "Now kids, this Christmas is going to be something special because Reverend Frawley of the Hazzard County Gospel Church has asked us to give a concert at the church on Christmas Eve! Now, that means that we have a lot of work to do. Mr Duke and I have selected 12 songs that we think will sound awesome for the concert. On your desks are copies of those songs. We're going to start with an old favorite, Silent Night. While you're singing I'm going to be going around listening to each one of you individually so when I walk by, don't be afraid to sing a little louder for the brief time that I'm beside you." *Jesse walked to the front of the classroom and smiled. He lifted his hand to direct the kids. When he dropped his hands and nodded his head, the beautiful singing began*
  7. Welcome to the HazzardNet. Is your screen name Spanish?

  8. Does anybody have any suggestions for our annual chat room Christmas party? I'll throw the first hook in the water. How about Saturday the 18th from 6-midnight? (EST) Since Christmas is on a Saturday this year it's impossible to get together on a weekend close to Christmas unless we try Sunday the 26th but a lot of folks are probably having family gatherings that night too.
  9. He should have had a guest appearance on Dukes. He would have made a perfect long lost brother for Rosco (and Lulu). My condolences to his family.
  10. Hoss's (I doubt they have Hoss's restaurants in Ireland but they're pretty popular over here Hoss)

  14. Is there any place on there where we can do online shopping and order imported egg nog for this year's HazzardNet Christmas party? Too many folks got sick on Brian's egg nog last year.
  15. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  16. Wii (I see there's a new Wii game called "Epic Mickey" that features Mickey Mouse. Since I don't own a Wii I guess I won't be playing anytime soon)
  17. *Jesse had figured out what was going on with Connor and the boys. He also knew the trouble it could cause if the rest of the kids saw the special attention Connor was getting. Even worse, Jesse knew that the jealous kids would give Connor a rough time if they knew he was getting a ride in the General Lee and Jesse was smart enough to figure out that's what the boys were going to ask Ira Grant. Before they had a chance to do so, Jesse spoke to the group* "Okay kids, we're now gonna to go into the classroom and me and Miss Duke are gonna listen to each and every one of you and figure out what section you're going to be with in the Christmas choir. The reason we're going inside is because the walls inside reflect the sound much better and that makes it easier fer us to evaluate yer voice and tell exactly where ya belong. Now git on in there so we can get started. This is gonna be one hum dinger of a Christmas concert!" Daisy helped "Let's go kids. Last one in is a rotten candy cane." Daisy winked at Jesse "I get the feeling you'll be the last one in Uncle Jesse." She then followed the last student into the building.
  18. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  19. You folks crack me up.....ROFL. I pity the fools who stole Mr T's necklaces! And no, that's not my truck. That truck's grey. I'm so poor I can't afford to have a truck that comes with a color. Since I couldn't afford paint, I just keep a coat or two of dirt on it at all times. Otherwise it would be naked and then it would be so embarressed it would turn red. No Garrett, those tattoos didn't hurt because they were temporary tattoos. Since that picture was taken, I've replaced then with permanent das efx tattoos.
