I agree with these last two posts. Another Dukes movie could be made and be successful but the people in charge willl never listen to reason. Just look at all the successful redneck reality shows on TV. The time is right for a new movie but they'll ruin it again if they don't get advice from true fans.

As the father of a daughter and two step daughters I can relate so I loved this story. My daughter is 28 and my twin step daughters are 30 so I remember going through what you're just now starting to experience. Thankfully I survived and now they all have families of their own. After having no sons I've been blessed with 4 grandsons and a one year old granddaughter so it's going to be a long time before I have to worry about her going out on her first date. By that time you'll be where I'm at now. Just a bit of advice, don't scare away the good guys. Someday you'll be happy when you have good sons-in-laws. Feel free to chase off the idiots though. Someday your girls will thank you....even though it might take some time for them to understand. By the way, thank you for serving your country.

It looks like JR Ewing will die on March 4th. If he doesn't die on that day it will be the episode that will lead to his eventual death. Tonight (Monday Feb 25) may have been the last time we saw an original scene with him in it. Judging by the scenes they showed for the upcoming episode they looked like a review of past scenes and not anything new. In a way this is also the end of an era for The Dukes of Hazzard since the shows were linked backed to back for all seven years of original Dukes episodes. Back then you could hardly talk about one show without the other coming up in the conversation....and since there were only three channels the shows just seemed bigger and more epic than the watered down television of today. I'll miss JR. He certainly was a scoundrel but so was Boss Hogg and I miss him too. It's times like this that I think of my own mortality and the mortality of all of us. I suppose the one thing that matters most of all is our relationship with God.

Rosco was furious as he stood on the hill. He grumbled to himself "I couldn't see who won." Just then a beat up old brown Ford pick-up truck showed up with three scruffy guys in it...the Beaudrys! "Hop in the back" yelled Milo. Moments later they had pulled up to the crowded celebration and all got out of the truck. Milo and Sledge pointed their shotguns in the air and had a menacing look on their face until Pa spoke up. "Now, put those shotguns away boys. We don't want no trouble. We just want to apologize and say we's sorry fer what we did. Truth be known Boss Hogg put us up to it. We're just thankful nobody got hurt." Milo and Sledge put the guns in the bed of the pick-up. The crowd looked angrily at Boss and he had to act fast. "Uh, listen here folks...you ain't gonna believe these low life Beaudrys are you?" Milo and Sledge reached for the guns but stopped when Boss continued speaking "Well, folks maybe there is a teenie tiny bit of truth to what Mr. Beaudry is saying but I didn't mean no harm. I was just having a little old fashioned fun. And to make it up to you folks I'd like to donate a one hundred thousand dollar pledge to the Hazzard County Orphanage in the name of our good friend and NASCAR superstar Mr. Gordon Jeff....uh hum, I mean Mr. Jeff Gordon!"

I wore my HazzardNet shirt and orange 01 hat to the NASCAR party I attended but not a single person commented on them. Needless to say that was disappointing since there were about 200 people there and I knew 40-50 of them. I think I'll sit home next year for Daytona. Big parties are fun (especially when they benefit charity) but I sure missed hearing the commentary since there was no sound and a band was playing. I suppose if it would have been a country band playing it wouldn't have been as bad but these guys have probably never heard of Waylon. The best part is when I'd walk up to the big screen TV to get a close up. It almost made me want to replace out little TV. I was happy to see Junior do well.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed that nothing bad happens today.

What a fantastic project. We look forward to seeing the progess....and 1979 is a pretty important year for Dukes fans! I love older vehicles. Even with my minimal mechanical skills I could replace distributers, starters, alternators, carbuerators, radiatiors, drive shafts and stuff like that. With these newer vehicles you can't even replace your own spark plugs without a computer. It makes me sick. Keep us updated and welcome to the HazzardNet fellow old timer. (I'm 52)
