  1. ROFL Well Hoss, if you watch that episode you'll probably have to do it Home Alone because I don't think anybody will be coming over to see it with you.... On the other hand it may be good for a laugh or two. Hey, could you put Daisy in the back of Jeff Gordon's race car and title it "Driving Miss Daisy."? Garrett will love that.
  2. I like the idea of Thursday the 20th. Any other opinions? Considering the time difference would you be up for a late nighter Hoss?
  3. Boss grits his teeth, grunts in disgust and turns around facing away from Jeff then stands in one spot for about ten seconds. He then walks over to Rosco's desk, his face displaying the fury inside. He inhales deeply then reaches for the CB on the desk. "Rosco, where are you?" A response comes across the airwaves quickly, "Um, right here Boss, talking on the CB" Boss is even madder now, "I know you're right here you lugnut but where is here?" Rosco sounds confused, "Uh, in my sheriff's car." Boss has reached the end of his rope and he hollers into the microphone, "Rosco if you don't tell me where your car's parked right now I'll, I'll....let me put it this way, if you're not here in 5 minutes you're fired. Do you copy that?" "Uh, yea Boss. I was just handing out these posters for the big race like you told me to do." Boss responded, "I don't think there's gonna be a race Rosco because you're coming over here and we're going to take our guest on a little trip.......to solitary confinment."
  4. This time next year will be very exciting if astronomers are correct in their predictions. The most brilliant comet ever seen by anybody alive is on the way and should be at it's brightest by Christmas 2013. The comet may possibly be as bright as the full Moon and it may become so bright it will be visible in daytime. Often predictions of comets' brightnesses don't live up to the hype but even if it doesn't this will still be a spectacular sight. It is currently in the area of the constellation Gemini and is only visible with large telescopes and only looks like a tiny white dot. When it does start to become visible in the fall it won't be visible in the evening. Seeing it will require getting up past the middle of the night. I'll be posting more about it later. And by the way, don't worry, there is no chance of it hitting Earth.
  5. I try to avoid this episode because I get too sad that it's the last one. I'm going to agree with BL about Flasho and Hosso because I can't think of anything else but Hosso doesn't sound right. For lack of a guess I'll agree with BL on both.
  6. I figured that party animal Hoss would be the first to respond to a party thread. For all you new folks we don't really have buttermilk at our Christmas party. ......okay, so maybe we have a little buttermilk but it's not required that you try it. It's strictly reserved for tea tottlers like me. It is required that you have a glass of Brian's egg nog (since it's hard to drink while unconscience and laying on your back you probably won't have another)
  7. Boss takes a puff of his cigar then blows the smoke into the cell. He pulls the cigar out of his mouth then pouts, sticking his lower lip out. After thinking a second Boss shocks Jeff with a loud reversal. "All right then Mr Gordon, I'll withdrawl my demand of asking you finish second if you'll agree to the rest of the conditions we've already discussed." Boss wasn't very happy with backing down to the prisoner but, as always, he had a plan B if Jeff got too far ahead in the race, not to mention a plan C. All that mattered to him is that he won. After all Boss thought to himself, a victory over Jeff Gordon could help him greatly in marketing his Hoggocco Racing Oil. Perhaps it could even go national with such a publicity stunt behind it. Boss had always dreamed of competing with the rich oilmen of Texas and becoming the next JR Ewing. This could be his chance.
  8. It's time to be thinking about an evening for the 2012 Christmas party. Before we suggest dates is there any evening that you can't make it? I can't make it the 17th, 18th and 19th. That's a Mon, Tue and Wed. (For those of you who are new, our parties are in HazzardNet's chat room.....and don't say you weren't warned. They can get a little rough)
  9. LOL You crack me up Garrett. .....and at the same time I admire and respect you for your passion and loyalty to the things you love. It's just too bad you're not a Steelers and Pirates fan.
  10. Was the livery stables used in the Loretta Lynn episode? As far as the current question goes I bet this is where my string of luck will end. I'm going to guess Cooter.
  11. Thanks for informing me of Sir Patrick Moore's death. I wasn't aware of it. Science has lost a true legend.

  12. My wife was watching America's Funniest Home Videos tonight when she yelled into the kitchen, "Hey check this out. It's the General Lee!" Thanks to the DVR she reversed it and they were doing videos on different ways to destroy pumpkins. There was one with a General Lee racing down a strip and it ran one over! (Hmmm, maybe it was more than one). Anyways, the clip didn't last long but it was still cool. I stopped it when the driver was in the best view but couldn't see his or her face very good. It's always good to see anything Dukes related when you're not expecting to. It puts a smile on my redneck face!
  13. Thanks for being generous and accepting the first one Hoss. I changed my answer because the ep with LL was in was titled "Find Loretta Lynn"...F for find and LYN for Lynn. I bet all these places has been used as a hiding place....some of them multiple times but the Ice House is ringing the loudest bell in this Duke boy's head. (I always get nervous when I disagree with BL)
  14. Poor Garrett. If I have these numbers correct after a 7-1 start the Bears have now lost 4 of their last 5. I sure can't tease you after my Steelers got beat by the Chargers today. I think the Chargers had lost 7 of their last 8 before coming into Pittsburgh and beating them. I guess this means our dream Super Bowl of Steelers vs Bears is in danger.
  15. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  16. Finally....I got a guess right! Great picture of the Duke men Hoss. I don't have a clue on this one (but hopefully we'll get one if nobody gets it right) I'm going to guess Waylon's rolling country music museum. Thanks to the edit button.....I'm changing that to my favorite all-time female singer, Loretta Lynn.
  17. Boss takes the cigar out of his mouth. He squints his eyes and looks suspiciously at Jeff. He appears to be at a loss for words then turns away with his back to Jeff then speaks while continuing to look away. "My my my Mr. Jeff.....uhum, I mean Mr. Gordon...." Boss turns again and faces Jeff. "You certainly don't appear to be in any position to be negotiating anything. I don't think you understand how things work around these here parts. Your fancy pants lawyers have no power in a place like this. You could bring a thousand of them in if you want to but unless one of them was a witness to the accident....excuse me, I meant to say attempted murder...., it's still the word of a stranger in town against a sworn officer of the law who has lived here all his life and has the full backing of the Commisioner of Police...namely me....who has also lived here all his life and is also the judge. You'd be throwing your money away by spending it on those hot shot worthless lawyers.....Unless" Jeff was intrigued "Go on, unless what?" "All right Mr. Gordon, I'll let bring your own car in providing you can get it here on time and providing you'll agree to one teensy weensy little thing" Jeff responded "Get on with it" Boss smiled "You finish second and let me win"
  18. Smithy it is! My favorite character is Jesse as you probably guessed. I have a lot of favorite episodes. My favorite episode this month is The Great Santa Claus Chase. My all time favorite is High Octane but I also love Swamp Molly, Days of Shine and Roses, Follow that Still, Find Loretta Lynn, The Legacy, Welcome Back Bo 'N Luke, Happy Birthday General Lee, Welcome Waylon Jennings and Go West Young Dukes. .....and any episode that shows Miz Tisdale riding a wheelie on her dirt bike! LOL
  19. Welcome to Hazzard County Smith. You sure sound like the type of person who's going to love it here. Do you have a favorite character or episodes?
