  1. What are you saying? Do you mean that there's folks in other countries who make fun of Americans? How shocking! I thought everybody loved us. Regarding your second quote listed here, it seemed like a good idea in 1776 but I think there are enough Americans who are so disappointed with our current political system that..... on second thought I'll save political views for different websites. This one is too perfect to ruin with politics.....not to mention risking the wrath of the moderators who do a great job of keeping it perfect.
  2. This last quote certainly is accurate. We all certainly can't all be perfect and the writers weren't perfect with that one. . Don't forget that the Dukes often made fun of city folks and sophisticated folks and many rural Americans stereotype British folks to be sophisticated. I'm not saying that they should. I'm just saying that they do. I remember when Jesse said "And don't take advantage of them because they're from the city and don't know no better." As I recall that's from an original Georgia episode...maybe "Daisy's Song." I think that quote's funny but it is potentially offensive to a city person. Regardless of whether quotes like that are offensive or not, they accurately portray how country boys from Jesse's generation felt. Also, the writers also seem to have forgotten that every American is a foreigner of sorts......unless they're a Native American. So, in the spirit of international diplomatic relations, my apologies as an America Hoss. Even though we can occasionally be rude (like making July Fourth jokes) those of us Americans who are of European decent know very well our roots. Sincerely, Cousin Roger
  3. LOL Good one Garrett. Thanks for the response Hoss.

  5. Sadly the only Roger to ever be on the show ended up being a bad guy. I'm not sure what the real name of the actor was but Duke Gaylord was only pretending to be a royal Duke. His "real" name was Roger Blevins as I recall.

  12. Thanks for the update Garrett. I'm happy for your sake that JG had another good one. How many seconds did Junior beat him by?
  13. LOL Thanks Garrett. There's nothing that cures a long term case of the post Christmas blues like another upcoming Christmas season. The annual HazzardNet Christmas party will be here before you know it!
  14. Hmm, interesting idea. I wonder how Meadowmufn will respond. Thanks for suggesting it.

  17. Well the tough one was really tough. Roth , Hoss and Lizzy were right about chicken and Daisy but Joe Ward was the crop duster who got sick. The episode mentioned that Joe recently bought the airplane from Darcy. If I wouldn't have just seen it I probably would have missed it too.
  18. Khee, Khee I hope you had a great birthday yesterday Rosco. Let's all head out to the Boar's Nest to celebrate tonight. Garrett, I know what you mean. It's always a thrill when Dukes related stuff pops up in places you weren't expecting it.
  19. I'm over here now Hoss. I just got bit on my arm by the smaller dog right after I sat down. It doesn't hurt too much and besides, I have another arm. Maybe focusing on how nice my good arm feels will distract me from the pain. I think the pooch was mad because I wore my Pittsburgh Pirates shirt in there. Garrett didn't mention that the dogs were Cubs fans but I suppose I should have known. Well I'd better get back to our conversation. They were just talking about how rude it is that people get off topic in pubic forums. I'm afraid to tell them that it doesn't bother me so I'm pretending to agree with them. I'm a little afraid they'll tell that other dog to bite my other arm if I start an argument.

  21. Hoss got it right. Luke called him King Kong. I just watched "High Flyin' Dukes" and it reminded me that I used to post an easy, medium and hard question after seeing an episode so I thought I'd try it again, at least once. From "High Flyin' Dukes"...... EASY....What kind of bird did Boss have with him while in hot pursuit (as a passenger) in Rosco's sheriff's car? A) owl chicken MEDIUM.....Which Duke took over as a crop duster when a friend of the Dukes got sick? A) Bo Luke C) Daisy D) Jesse HARD......The friend mentioned in the medium question was.... A) Darcy Kincaid Amos Stigger C) Joe Ward D) Silas "The Hawk" Perkins E) Sam Crenshaw
  22. I don't have NBCSN on my satellite but I do have CBSSN. I guess that doesn't do me any good. I wonder if NBCSN is new. I've never heard of it.
