  1. Roger Duke is a real jerk and I can't stand him. Come on now, I just insulted a pretty nice old timer. If that's not good for a couple warning points I don't know what is. It will be a hysterical day on the HazzardNet if I can be the first one to get some. I think I meant to say historical. (One of my all time favorite Rosco lines)
  2. Welcome to Hazzard County Lucas! We're happy to meet a new friend!
  3. LOL Always trying to stir stuff up ain't I MM? That should be worth at least 2 warning points!
  4. Warning points sound like they might be fun. What can I do to get them?
  5. As most of you know I post all the stars birthdays here but I don't really celebrate them but one. That one exception is May 11th. I don't make a cake or sing happy birthday or anything like that but I do catch myself thinking about 'ole Jesse all day on the 11th. It's not so much that he's made a biigger impact on my life that any of the other stars....it's that Jesse is my future. He's the man I'm going to be someday. He's my hero. I don't know how much Denver Pyle was like Jesse but it doesn't matter. What matters is that his acting gave me a mentor to look up to, and an old timer worthy of modeling my life around. I am, after all, only 4 years away from being Denver's age (59) in 1979 when Dukes first came out so, Lord willing, I'll live long enough to grow a white beard. Thanks Denver.
  6. Thanks for all the hard work you do MM. Thank goodness I didn't lose my avatar or signature quote. The quote I could have figured out but I had someone else do the avatar for me since I was (and still am) technologically challenged.
  7. One more week until my hero's 95th birthday!
  8. There's a new television commercial out there. It's for Volkswagen and it features Waylon singing "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys". I saw it twice this weekend and was thrilled to hear Waylon's voice. Has anybody else seen it yet?
  9. well (Lassie always had to rescue Timmy because he fell in the water well once a week)
  10. Very sweet!
  11. The Dukes marathons just keep coming on CMT. I guess you could say they're having a marathon of Dukes marathons. I'd like to extend them a marathon of marathons of thanks.
  12. fleas
  13. summer
  14. I'm a pretty low tech guy so I'm easy to please. I just want to say how thankful I am for everything you do MM. You are greatly loved for all the sacrifices you've made and time you've put into the HN!
  15. Wow PJ, what an awesome post. I suspect you're right, that definitely would have meant something to him. It's starting to sink in but it's still hard to believe.
  16. butler
  17. chess (It's good to see all this exchange of culture taking place. Our grandkids watch the cartoon Peppa Pig and it's a good opportunity for us to explain things like, why Daddy Pig mended the computer instead of fixing it.)
  18. It's sure awesome to see all these Dukes marathons lately on CMT. I don't know if it's a result of losing Rosco or not but if it's a tribute I thank them very much. Even if it's not a tribute I thank them very much.
  19. Happy birthday April 17 cousin Coy. I sure enjoyed meeting you last summer!
  20. BLT sandwich (for you folks across the big pond the B stands for bacon)
  21. Thanks Hobie. I don't even like the new Auto Trader commercials. Okay, I have to admit I do love seeing Bo and Luke in the General Lee. What's not to love about that? It doesn't bother me that they look older. What I don't like is that they trade in their 1969 Charger. That would be like trading in Uncle Jesse for Willie Robertson. I love Willie and everybody on Duck Dynasty but Jesse can't be replaced.
  22. My eyes light up every time I'm flipping though the guide channel and see them coming on! Thanks CMT!
  23. I guess I'll have to start accepting that Jimmie is gone but part of me doesn't have to believe it at all. I watched the reunion movie once but I'll never see it again. Besides things like the General Lee being forgotten in a chicken coup and a frail Jesse being abandoned by Bo, Luke and Daisy the other thing that bothered me was the scene where Rosco did a tribute to Boss, who had passed on. I couldn't handle that. I'm sure the writers had good intentions but that is not the Hazzard County that I have known and loved these past 36 years. My Hazzard County hasn't changed a bit. In my Hazzard County Boss is still scheming in his office at the Boar's Nest. Jesse is out plowing the back 40 with Maudeen the mule right now. Miz Tisdale is admiring him from afar as she sits on her dirt bike at the mailbox. And Rosco is yelling at his dipstick deputies on the CB because they let the Duke boys past the speed trap. To me that's reality.
  24. Welcome to the HazzardNet HIPCHIP. Thanks for sharing that about Sonny. I met him once and I'm not surprised at your comment. He certainly is the genuine article. If you looked up Southern Gentleman in the dictionary, his picture would be beside the definition as the best example of one.
