  1. Sorry folks, but I missed this thread and started a new one on the passing of James Best a few minutes ago. I have him on a few "Dukes" DVDs and also "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms" (a 1953 creature feature, he was one of the radar operators in the Arctic when a blast releases the monster, etc.). Is it just me, or has everyone else not heard a cross word about this man ever? RIP, Sheriff Rosco.

  4. Hi all. I've been a member for about six years, but have been a very infrequent visitor. This may be only my third or fourth post. "The Dukes of Hazzard" was part of my early adult life, I was in the Navy at the time. I recall buying only one "People" magazine in my life, and Catherine Bach was featured in it! Being in the Navy then, aboard ship and overseas I often only saw the show when I was home. Since that time, and as it passes I've found myself missing the show (as about 99% of ya'll). I stayed away from going to the theater to this movie, back in August after reading about it on Ben Jones' site (I've been to the old Cooter's Garage that was in Sperryville, VA a couple of times. I LOVE that area!). But last night looking for something to view, I went to Blockbuster and rented it. Of course, all they had was the Unrated Version. My review: Denver and Sorrel must be spinning in their graves!
