  1. I always loved that scene. It was rare that Rosco showed Enos any love but when he did it was indeed special!
  2. Thanks for the updates. I had a house full of grandchildren on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning so I watched a lot of Dora the Explorer, Mike the Knight and Sofia the First but no NASCAR.
  3. Thanks for the updates. I agree. That crash of Dario's made me gasp.
  4. Aw yes, your memory is correct. I fell in love with Farrah in 1976. My brother went into the Marines and I bought his Mustang II in 1977 and fell in love with my first car. In 1979 I broke Farrah's heart and fell in love with Daisy. I was a pretty busy young man in the mid-late 70s. Thanks for posting this picture of the Mustang!
  5. tornado (it's been a few days so I thought I'd respond to my own to jump start things)
  6. Thanks for the update Hoss. I have a football game to go to and then a retirement party so I'm going to miss it.
  7. Thanks !1976. I'm looking forward to them!

    Duck Dynasty

Duck Dynasty on The History Channel? LOL Oh well, there's no more educational shows on The Learning Channel, no more educational shows on The Discovery Channel, no more music on Music Television (MTV). Why should there be history on The History Channel?
  9. Hey, it's October 1st. That means that Christmas ads will start popping up in one month. Actually, my wife has already gotten a couple Christmas advertisements in the mail.
  10. I have a favorite team in every division and the Seahawks are my favorite in that one. Unfortunately my other 7 teams are doing terrible. Both my fantasy teams are tied for first place and I just beat Garrett so things aren't all bad. The Steelers being 0-4 for the first time in 45 years isn't good but the Pirates are leading 5-1 in the sixth inning of their first playoff game in over two decades. Woops, I almost forgot. This is a Chicago Bears thread.
  11. Wow Garrett, you must be going crazy. Did you see the final score of our fantasy football match up? I beat you 153.84 to 153.58 For you folks who don't know how fantasy football works, the way our league is set up, the average victory is by 20-30 points. One person even got beat by 100 points a couple weeks ago (no, it wasn't me or Garrett) In the last game Sunday (Falcons vs Patriots) Garrett's player (Roddy White of the Falcons) just missed a TD pass that would have given Garrett the win. Neither one of us have anyone playing in Monday night's game so the score is final.....although on a rare occasion they do a "stat correction" because of a technicality so there's still hope for you Garrett. Check the score in the morning just in case. This is a classic example of why I'm giving up on fantasy sports. I was rooting for the Falcons. So half of me wanted Roddy to catch the pass and the other half didn't. It just takes the fun out of the game.
  12. Wow! These last 5 posts have some great information. I love learning things I didn't know about the Dukes.
  13. Big Ben by Big Ben. That's funny! The Steelers are 0-4 for the first time in 45 years.....ouch. Sorry about your Bears losing Garrett. Sorry about bragging here but I was in three baseball fantasy leagues and finished first in two and third in the other. Since I'm doing so bad in fantasy NASCAR I have to find something to boost my self esteem.
  14. Bears vs Lions huh? That sounds like a good game. l'll be rooting for Chicago! The Steelers are playing the Vikings in London England. Neither team has won a game yet. The Steelers finally have their promising rookie running back in the game. LeVeon Bell was drafted out of Michigan State and has been injured since pre-season. But the big game everybody is talking about is Garrett vs Roger in the big-time fantasy league. We only play twice all year so this is a big deal. Of course if I beat you in the playoffs we'll face each other 3 times which means I'll be 3-0 vs you just like your Bears are 3-0 against their opponents. Go Steelers! Go Bears! Go RogerDuke! BTW Garrett. I lead Green Monsters in our baseball league 10-2 and today's the last day of the championship. It's too bad I'm not doing as well in our fantasy NASCAR league.
  15. Hmm, interesting. I didn't think either one of those last two posts went through. I sent the second one because I didn't think the first one went though but here I am, logging in a few hours later and they're both here. I've been having problems with my computer kicking me off stuff when I'm typing. It's not a HazzardNet thing since it happens on other sites. I've been having so many computer problems lately that it's become the norm.
  16. I just took the personality test and it said that I'm an old redneck who doesn't care about anything but beating Garrett Duke in fantasy sports. Wow, those things are accurate!
  17. That's a point that a lot of people were making. I live in Pennsylvania and this team is in New York so their league doesn't get any coverage on the TV stations in Erie Pa. I'm wondering if the team is bad. Maybe dedicating a winless season to someone would seem disrespectful. I'm not sure if that is the case or not. I'm just speculating. Either that or the players just felt too depressed to play. Maybe they were just scared. I know if I just watched my teammate die I'd be scared regardless that the odds were several millions to one that it could happen to me. Either way it's tragic. My best friend was killed in the late 70s when he was just 16 in a car accident one mile from my house. He was also my cousin. It's not something they'll ever heal from and I have to admit my eyes are watering up a little right now just thinking about it. Sorry Garrett, let's get back to the more cheerful subject of the Chicago Bears. (although I wasn't too cheerful when they beat my Steelers)
