  1. LOL your Americanized joke was hillarious. I never really thought of this but the autocorrect thing for spelling changed it to a Z just now when I spelled it with an S. How does that work over there? If the website originated in America does it autocorrect that way? If the autocorrect originated in the UK would it tell me that I spelled "color" wrong and add the U?
  2. April 1 is Sadie Hogg Day in Hazzard. How big is Halloween over there?
  3. VICTOR'S Bail Bonds ( a sign in town)
  4. Let's use this thread for international education amongst fellow fans. Be respectful!!!! Ask questions here like this this one.....Hey Hoss, does Europe celebrate April Fool's Day?"
  5. I'm going to have to check that out for myself. My daughter and her family are home for the weekend and staying with us so I won't the next couple days.
  6. Charlie has a book that has just come out about his life. The last time I was this excited about a new book it was by Ben Jones.
  7. That's funny Hoss. When microwaves first came out I think it was Steven Wright who said "I put instant coffee in a microwave oven and almost went back in time." If I ever moved down south I'd probably pick up an accent quickly. My favorite male singer is Charlie Daniels and favorite female singer is Loretta Lynn.I love the southern sound. Do you have an accent Hobie?

    My heroes

I was watching Fox News this morning and Charlie Daniels came on. Shortly after he left Phil Robertson showed up in the same studio. I couldn't believe it. Two of my three heroes together. I wonder if they got their picture taken together backstage. If only Uncle Jesse would have walked in.
  10. episode name...Play IT again Luke
  11. Hey Hobie I'm a yankee who tries to act southern....maybe you wouldn't like me. LOL...Seriousely, I know what you meant and I can see why you would say that. In fact I agree! Still, you have to admire yankees like me who want to be southern. At least we're smart enough to know your way of life is best. A person can't pick where they were born and raised but they can pick a lifestyle and attitude and then live that way when they grow up. If all my family weren't here I'd move to northern Georgia in a second. And one more point...A yankee who tries to act like a southern boy is a lot better than a southern boy who tries to act like a yankee. I suppose there's a few guys like that down there but thank goodness you're not one of them. We need folks like you to keep the southern culture alive.
  12. I love these old pictures of Dukes stars. Thanks Hoss!
  13. When Boss was reading about EBENEEZER Scrooge he quickly became an admirer.
  14. I'm one of those people born late into the Baby Boom. We're the folks who live comfortably and run the national debt up to twenty trillion dollars then die and pass the bill on to our children.....and if the economy doesn't collapse completely because of it they will pass 40 trillion on to our grandchildren.

  16. If you missed Dukes you had to wait a whole week but it was really bad if you missed Grinch or Great Pumpkin because that meant you had to wait a whole year!
  17. I remember It well ......at the end of each episode watching the General and the cop car running in a circle while the credits ran. It was satisfying that I just saw another great episode but also pretty sad that I had to wait a whole week to see Hazzard County again. It wasn't a new feeling to me. When I was younger I used to feel that way at noon on Saturday knowing I had to go a whole week before I saw another cartoon. Those emotions sure made me appreciate those shows more. I think today's kids will never experience that since they can see anything anytime. That's a nice thing to have but taking things for granted isn't good.
  18. Lulu and Rosco have an UNCLE Jasper
  19. We love you SHERIFF Big Ed Little
  20. Every time somebody who was on the show passes on to Hazzard Heaven it hurts. I was lucky to meet him a couple summers ago when he was at a stunt show with Byron Cherry. He will be missed.
  21. There's a car crusher in the Hazzard JUNKYARD
  22. "That was a horrendous CRASH" Rosco
  23. There's no such thing as a No Passing ZONE in Hazzard County (That's a RogerDukeism)
  24. Hazard made the national news today because the Energy Secretary was there to announce easing of rules that restricted the use of coal in making electricity. Hazard is a coal town and will benefit from the new rules so that's why it was announced there. I remember when the cast of Dukes went there to help with a fundraiser when miners were trapped. At the time the show was in its heyday so it was a pretty big national story.
