Great pictures. Thanks for sharing them. I especially love the reflection of the General on the front fender of the grey Charger on the bottom picture. It almost looks painted on. Very artistic...edit: except it looks like a 10 and not 01.
I just saw the last 2 innings of an historical baseball game. The Houston Astros just threw a no-hitter in the World Series against the Phillies. Before tonight there had only been one no-hitter thrown in a World Series game. Since 1903 there have been 688 World Series games and the only other no-hitter was in 1956.
If you talk to anybody who knows much about it, they will tell you how dramatically it has changed in just a few short years. It's always been different but now it is simply bizarre. But, who am I to talk? Nobody has ever accused me of being normal. I'm fine with that. Normal is plain old boring.
I've been telling you for years now....a lot of you Southerners don't realize how many rednecks the north has. That's because the media and entertainment industries put everybody in these convenient stereotypical boxes.
But I won't go so far a as to claim I'm a bigger redneck than you!
Thanks Hoss. We were pretty much raised on animals my dad killed and also stuff out of the garden and woods so didn't get a lot of food or culture from other places. My mom made the best lemon meringue pies though and she got all those ingredients from the store, except the eggs.
"California is the place ya wanna be" is what they said back when Beverly Hillbillies was being filmed. Now, everybody wants to be anywhere but California.
I haven't laughed that loud in awhile. The 3 rivers that go through Pittsburgh are all wide enough to have islands in the middle of them....Maybe I should book myself. I could be "little buddy" if we get marooned. (Although I would prefer professor)
Now I'm hungry. Are chutneys what we call jelly? What about curry? I thought that was a spice. Is meringue what we call pie?
Still not feeling any better or worse today. My wife is better. I won't keep the daily reports up.... and from now on will only post about it if there is a change.
This has been my best day all week but it has been my wife's worst. If she follows my path, she has 2 more tough days ahead of her. Beautiful weather we're having. We're so bummed out we had to cancel our big Halloween party.
We went on it once. It was a dinner cruise and was really good. Are you going on a dinner cruise or just a cruise without a meal? Are you doing it before winter or is this a 2023 thing?
