  1. Tomorrow (Thursday) the Queen of Country Music turns 90 years young. It sure would have been nice if she would have been tricked by a detour or caught in a speed trap more than once but the one time she did was one of the best Dukes episodes ever. We love you Miss Loretta. You are and always will be our beautiful queen.
  2. train (The Cowboy Troy song "I play chicken with the train")
  3. I wish I could think of the name of that old country song where the woman turned it around on the guy....."Now let's see what I give you". I think it started out with the singer saying something to the girl like "You look like a possible 8. You and me can make 18 if your head's on straight"
  4. Chase Elliott needs to step it up a little.
  5. Thanks for posting this Skipper. These folks are all like family and whenever we lose one it hurts a lot.....especially if you are personal friends with him like Meadowmfn was. I miss him.
  6. Did you ever make one from the 1965 Corvette on the show "Stingray" from the mid 80s TV series starring Nick Mancuso?
  7. Good to have your back. Your plates are works of art. Keep up the good work!
  8. On Friday the youngest Duke becomes old enough to collect Social Security. Bo Duke turns 62. Some folks wait until they get older to collect SS because they get more money but I bet Bo will start now. When you consider the price of gas and the fact that the huge V8 in the General Lee needs so much of it, I'm sure he could use the extra cash. Happy birthday Bo. You're looking good. Meet us all at the Boar's Nest to celebrate. Hobie's buying the buttermilk.
  9. bus (Super Bowl MVP Jerome Bettis was nicknamed The Bus and he was number 36)
  10. Erie PA made the national news tonight for a school shooting. Thankfully the victim's injuries aren't serious. Really warm today but it's not going to last. Got a lot of outside work done and went for a Ninja ride. Baseball is getting ready to start. My Pirates will finish last again. Hopefully my second favorite team, the Braves, will win the World Series again.
  11. Hey Hoss, that arrow in the middle is covering up the g and the r. It makes it look like....
  12. Hoss is the most helpful person in Hazzard County. He's definitely a Duke. Let's pat ourselves on the back: We're all good and decent folks here in Hazzard but Hoss rises to the top as the one who goes out of his way to come to the assistance of everybody.....and he has the computer skills to do so in a practical manner. He is proof that you don't need a Southern accent to show Southern Hospitality.
  13. *in Rosco voice* I love it! I love it! I love it! Khee Khee! I'd love to see more of this MM. I do agree with Hoss that it goes a bit quick. Also, I'd like to hear music similiar to what we hear on the show when the General Lee is going down the road....maybe a twing of bluegrass in there. I can't wait to see your next one. Am I correct that you will be doing lots of other subjects besides Dukes? Edit: just played it again and the music's not really that bad but it does sound a little like older folk music too. How 'bout a little String Bean or Grandpa Jones from Hee Haw?...stronger on the bluegrass.
  14. Welcome to the family DC. Tell us more about your love of the Dukes. Been a fan long? Seen all the episodes? Have all the DVDs? How about toys? Met any of the stars? Who is your favorite?
  15. It makes you wonder how many props are left over from the show. Of course verifying their authenticity is a problem.
  16. Finally got some time on the Ninja after going crazy not riding it for a week. It was cold but not enough to stop me. I got a little yard work done too. It's snowing now. MotoGP racing on TV at 6:00 tonight. Anybody paying attention to March Madness? I haven't been. The Boar's Nest Bears didn't even make the Sweet Sixteen. We had a tragedy only a couple miles from me. 3 little kids and their grandmother all killed in a house fire. It happened around suppertime. Normally when that many people die it is in the middle of the night. No reports from the neighbors of explosions or anything.
  17. I went to a local university to give an astronomy presentation today. It feels good to be back in the swing of things. It's been a rough two years. Students still had classes of course but all the programs available to the public have been closed down until now. It's nice to see people back. I hope it stays that way but there is always a chance we could get another serious variant.
