  1. They did a better job of noticing in the seventh season. Ah well.
  2. It is suggestive, but if I recall she was in a robe not nude. Still... true.
  3. It was called Good Times, by Anita Cochrane.
  4. I do not know exactly where, though it was definitely California, but it was filmed rather early in the series... second season I think? I believe it's the most famous (and re-used) footage in the entire series, as well as the all-time distance record up until the 2006 Dukesfest jump in Nashville.
  5. The problem has been known in the US as well. Not sure exactly what it is, but watching all the eps in a season to make sure they worked before the return/replace period was up at the store, and replacing the set if there was trouble (which I had with seasons 2 and 4) worked!
  6. Luke is very protective - even though he does sometimes poke quite a bit at Bo too, especially when they were younger... typical older-brother prorogative I suppose, lol!
  7. I created a list of my own of correct filming dates, and have watched them in order since then. It's kinda interesting to actually watch the seasons change and everything! Makes all the stories make more sense. It's very close to the one posted on this thread.
  8. The worst one was when they would switch which of the cousins was driving from shot to shot. They didn't always have such inconsistancies, but when they did it really stood out.
  9. I was snowed in last night, actually! I had to stay at a hotel near where I worked. Tonight I should be able to get home, the roads are clearing. We didn't get as much snow in inches, but the wind was treacherous. Anyone else got snow stories? ~Sarah
  10. It'd be typical of Bo! *teasing grin* ~Lukas
  11. I suspect he probably thought Bo got sidetracked by a pretty girl; he didn't really expect trouble yet. At least, that's what his reaction said to me... the mild amusement. ~Lukas
  12. It is true that Luke is not generally as relaxed with touching and being touched as, say, Bo is. He's usually more likely to shake a hand than give a hug. That said, he does get closer to the members of his immediate family - Bo and Daisy especially. Anyone else though, it's not likely. I suppose it's possible that military life could stiffen him up a bit. However, it's not the most likely reason. Military life isn't home; not all the habits will transfer even if some instincts and gut reactions will. Personally, I simply believe Luke never has been, even when younger, as touchy a person. It's just him. He doesn't seem to mind Bo or Daisy, or even Jesse starting a hug though. He just won't often initiate it. Once in a while. ~Lukas
  13. Well wha'd'ya know... *smiles* I love it. Never saw that one before. ~Lukas
  14. Actually, I believe Enos did usually call him "Uncle Jesse". It might be more polite perhaps to call him Mr Duke or such, but he did usually call him Uncle Jesse. He got to get away with it, and Cooter did too usually, but Cletus usually was told "I ain't yer Uncle Jesse!", though he tried. ~Lukas
  15. Bo's shirt changes slightly from season to season; different shades or even thicknesses depending on time of year. But yes, it did always seem to be yellow or tan... And Luke did usually have various blue plaids, although sometimes he wore solid blue too. Not sure why. ~Lukas
  16. You might be right on that point, Tim. Not that the film had to be a carbon copy or in keeping with exact storyline (though a "canon" backstory for example would have made for a good yarn!), but sticking to the type of humor and life values portrayed in the series certainly would have brought more existing fans in. Perhaps just as much money would have been made simply out of evoking nostalgia and making people feel good about their entertainment. The 2005 remake did fly, however, with a different crowd of young people... and what can we do about that? Personally I find it sad that when they hear "Dukes of Hazzard" they will picture Sean William Scott's unintelligent crudity and Jessica Simpson's pop-star attitude and various scandals, but it's a free country. For myself, I would have greatly preferred something closer to the "feel" of the original, and that could have been done even with a tasteful PG-13 rating if the producers had cared enough to give it any thought whatsoever. Which they didn't, and still apparently don't. What we have here is not fans of the show enjoying a childhood dream, but a few guys looking for cheap thrills and capitalizing on the names of places and characters known to already have been a hit once, in search of an extra few million. They succeeded in their quest - they built a new following of a new idea and did quite well financially. So unfortunately, Tim, your hopes of drying up the "new product" by attempting to raise a boycott against the new films won't work. They aren't simply going to go away. I'm sorry to put it so harshly, I'm not much happier with the situation - but that is, as they say, show business. All we really can do is hold onto good memories and pride, and keep makin' more good memories in places like HazzardNet and Dukesfest. We may not be able to be rid of the new films, but I believe time will tell which will endure. We already have close to thirty years' seniority, and we're still going strong. I think that suggests the answer, in the end. ~Lukas
  17. You wouldn't think it, but lemonade actually works even better than milk. ~Lukas
  18. *chuckle* Cute, Val. I was never great at Chemistry, but at least I recognize the references... feel free to post more! ~Lukas
  19. Yes the bridge does look familiar - and the farmhouse too! *having to laugh* ~Lukas
  20. That is the coolest thing I think anyone could do. And it goes to show just what kind of fans we got out there... what kind of a show we have. Amazing! Make you feel good, don't it? ~Lukas
  21. Ah, that long-ago battle... Well, I suppose even long-ago enemies can be friends. I was against ya back then, but I'll see what I can come up with for you now, Brian. ~Lukas
  22. I believe she did... however, speaking a language to some extent and truly mastering it are two different things. Possibly that's the difference. I'm really not sure how many he spoke, though. ~Lukas
  23. I believe the situation would be that she would normally need to buy the Region 2 DVD set not the Region 1. In different DVD regions of the world (1 is North America for example, and 2 the UK and Australia) they can sell the same film or box set with different coding. Therefore, if a Region 1 set worked in a Region 2 player, that is startling. Unless the set is actually Region 2. I don't know much more about it all than that. If anyone else does, feel free to amend. ~Lukas
  24. This is one of my favorite eps. Funny, somewhat emotional... good acting by Jesse and Rosco, and not bad for the rest of the cast either. I suppose we can feel a bit sorry for Rosco; however, scaring him was really the only way to get to Boss and get a confession out of either of them about the stolen watch scam. If the boys had let it be known they were alive at that point, they would've ended up in prison for a very long time. ~Lukas
  25. Jamie Lynn is correct; the TV series itself never gave Bo a middle name (though many online stories like to do so). The middle name James originally came from a fanfic series. I could tell you the old pen-name of the author, actually. She was one of the very first internet fanfiction writers, so in a way I suppose I'm not too surprised that her work has ended up even integrated into some fansite's character profile. However, it is fanfic-based, and not show-based. Sorry to disappoint any of y'all. ~Lukas
