  1. Well I just got back from a visit to the best little spot in our county, my local Boars Nest. Awfully quiet for a Sunday though.

    Friday Night

Well, you guys know Friday night was when TDOH came on TV and every Friday is DOHD ( Dukes Of Hazzard Day) , an international holiday! Well, as Hobie, I'm going to do my part celebrating, by buying some Jack Daniels and pretending it's some of Jesse's Finest! Then I'll come back here to the house and watch several episodes, while imbibing! ( wooo! Imbibing !! That's a big word! .....I'm glad I've got my college boy learning or I'd never even know what that word means! LOL! ) ......When I use more the 2 syllables a word, I'm tripping in tall cotton, so you guys watch out for me!

    Friday Night

I loved the earliest episodes the best when Rosco was still a little serious, but you can't help but love the goofball he was later, too.

  6. Well I just got done watching the evening news for the first time in a while, and it makes me nostalgic for the days when tv stations would sign off after prime time shows. Bring it back y’all, we live in an age of information overload, and even though I’m apart of the techy Gen Z generation, I honestly long for simpler days. That’s why we bought a vintage 70s landline phone for our house phone, I’m sick of too much tech. Why don’t kids get off the stuff and play outside in the mud and drink water from a hose again?

  7. I double-checked before posting my reply above, and every source I found said it sank on the 15th. The iceberg hit was late on the 14th.

  8. The Titanic left Queenstown (now Cobh) in Ireland on April 11th, 1912, hit the iceberg just before midnight on the 14th, and sank on the 15th. BTW. Cobh is pronounced like "cove".

  11. With Cooter’s Last Stand having happened, are events still a regular occurrence? Someone needs to keep this going for generations to come, Hazzard will be forever.

  12. As far as I’m concerned, Dukes will always be one of the best family tv shows that ever aired, and let me say, I’m not a dad right now but I hope to be someday, and I want to share the love of Hazzard County with my kids, whether I have good ol boys or good ol girls, Hazzard is for everyone!

  14. (Season 4 Cletus Falls in Love) Daisy Duke:"Cletus has us boxed in!" Bo Duke:"This is downright embarrassing." Luke Duke:"Gonna be worse than that. If you get another phony citation from Boss. Yer gonna lose yer license. An' I ain't far behind."

That’s a big 10-4, I’ll always watch out for you cousin. Amen and I’ve started going through a rewatch with the pilot and then going through the early days of Hazzard County, man those first episodes truly stand out. Makes me wonder what we’d have had if the show had stayed in Covington and not moved to Burbank. Hmmm….

  28. Embolism why did Catherine Bach have to go to the hospital? Catherine Bach was hospitalized due to an embolism, which is a blockage in a blood vessel, likely resulting from a recent surgery. Her hospitalization was an emergency, and her co-stars have been supportive, sharing their prayers and updates. The embolism is a known complication that can develop after surgery, but it is treatable with proper medical care. Bach's condition has been a concern for fans, but her co-stars have reassured her family that she is in good hands and will recover soon. Parade +5

  30. I'm really not sure what scale we're talking about here and what body you're planning to use.
    1 point
  31. If you could find one of the old pedal car General Lee's you could take that body and put it on a little go kart. Not 100% they made one but WB marketed the heck out of the show so wouldn't be surprised.

    Hazzard Square

With the Netflix deal and possibly others on the table and Warner Bros likely to face new ownership, I’m kinda nervous for the future of the Hazzard Square, I hope it’ll be safe but I’m anxious for it and what could happen.

  39. This is very in The Dukes of Hazzard Return of the General Lee PlayStation 2 and Xbox. From the cutscenes of the mission General Confusion. Rosco:"I got 'em down by the river Boss! Khee khee khee!" Enos:"I got 'em up by the Coal Mine!" Boss Hogg:"How could they be in both places at once?" 😂 Luke:"An' still be standin' right in front of you." 😂 Boss Hogg:"An' still be standin' right in front of- Aaah! You! But how'd you-?" 😂 Bo:"Practice." 😂 Luke:"An' 3 General Lees." 😆 That mission General Confusion is based on the TV series Season 2 episode Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough when they had 3 General Lees to fool Boss Hogg and the Jethro Brothers Simon & Roby his new partners in crime for the episode.

    NASCAR news

I saw the breaking news right after the crash but of course didn't know who it was until later. Condolences and love to the family in wake of this terrible tragedy. I know the difficulty of losing a child in an accident but an entire family is unimaginable. So sad.

  42. A few years ago I told my wife I wasn't going to feel old until all four of our parents died. Then we lost her mom and then my mom. Now it's my Dad. He was definitely an Uncle Jesse type....even drove a white F-150. Lived for the outdoors. He had been sick a few months and several times said he was ready to go. Tough stuff.

    Hazzard Square

I think Netflix need the studios, but that doesn't mean they'll keep all the facilities. Cooter's Garage went in the '90s and the Mexican and Western sets have also gone. Some of the Hazzard Square buildings have been standing since the '60s, which, let's face it, is a long time for any building in the Los Angeles area! If politics get involved, WB could go to Paramount Skydance, and they already have studios. It would be great to think that Hazzard Square would be preserved, but as my recent post on the Warner Ranch shows, money will always win out.

  44. I'm starting to celebrate DOHD a little early with some old No. 7 ( The doctor says beer might make my esophagus, which he operated on, bust open, so I'm going to watch DOHD after Jeopardy and then later tonight, I'll try to get back on here and tell you what I'm watching. Cheers to Jack Daniels ( RIP) and old No. 7. Sour Mash! * Interesting note- Jack Daniels is a world famous, very popular whiskey and it's made right here in Lynchburg Tn.! ( Moore county) a dry county, which means it's illegal to serve alcohol at restaurants and you can't buy alcohol anywhere in the county but No.7 is made in the distillery and shipped OUT of the county!
