  1. Unfortunately too many people like using Facebook. I'd rather be on a forum. People tend to be friendlier on forums. Here at Hazzardnet it's like a family.

  2. This is awesome! I love your attention to detail. Going through all that, removing the windshield, to install the extra speakers is great attention to detail. Your General Lee looks just like LEE1. What color is the body painted? Is it 1975 Corvette Flame Red?

It's good to have another member in roughly the same time zone. We used to have another prominent Dutch member, Roth Potter, but sadly they haven't posted since early 2021. I assume Alma's website was thedukesofhazzard.nl. I hadn't realized it had closed down - there was some great info on there, especially about the Georgia locations. It looks like Alma was once a member here briefly. There's an AlmaH from the Netherlands who made seven posts between May and June 2005. I think there are at least a couple of General Lees here in Ireland/Northern Ireland (I posted pictures here of the one I got to sit in). I've seen other TV/movie cars at shows, but I don't remember seeing any other Dukes vehicles.

  4. And what do you think of my horn? A genuine Jubilee horn with the early Georgia sound. I love it!

    Serge's General Lee

Hi guys, I thought I start a new topic about my car to keep on subject in the other topic about Tom Sarmento. Well, my General Lee. For people that don't know the car, I own a 1969 Dodge Charger and made a LEE1-replica out of it. Not 100% accurate, but comes very close. I bought the car from a company in your country that where suppose to have restored it but they cut corners. Don't want to say much more about that, what has been done has been done... It was the reason for me to redo the car back in 2009 and decided to make a LEE1-replica because I didn't want just a General Lee but a specific car. The car was finished in 2010. I had a lot of fun with it! Used it a lot as a weddingcar for people, several carshows and even was invited for TV shows here in The Netherlands. But the best was 2013 when I picked up John Schneider in Germany for a comic-con event. John drove my car with me riding shotgun! Priceless! And also the 2 years Tom Sarmento stayed with us and drove the car! I think I am a lucky guy and am gratefull that it al happened! Anyway, had great years with my car untill it broke down in 2018 with a leaking transmission and worn out cilinderheads. The car hasn't been out since but at the moment it has my priority to get it running again this year! Atteched a pic of my car a few years back in better days.

  7. Hello from the south, been a long time dukes fan for over 40 years now and still love the show. Been to most all the Georgia filming sites with other dukes fans and have owned my old charger since 1999. Had the uniform on it for over 10 years and had to do a re paint in 2012. It is still hemi orange but with a black R/T stripe and magnum 500 wheels. 493 ci with a 4 speed, has plenty of attitude for a resto looking charger.

  9. This is a great video and it must have been amazing having John Schneider drive your car. The General Lees in the early Georgia episodes are my favorite look(s) for the car. I like the shorter push bar and the darker blue in the General Lee lettering and the flag. The car looks spot on to LEE1. Can you post some pictures of the interior?

Yeah, they talk about it on one of the special features, on one of the season DVD sets...can’t remember which season has that interview? But, it’s where John, Tom, and Catherine reunite in some NY sound recording room to talk about the show & reminisce.

  18. I never heard about John Schneider and Tom Wopat's joyride. It's a great story. I'll have to tell my wife about it. She's a big fan of Little House On The Prairie and of course The Dukes Of Hazzard.

  19. Hi Floyd, welcome! Great you live in Georgia! I was lucky to visit your country in 2017 and did a quick trip in Covington and Conyers. It was amasing for me to be there! Only thing I could no visit was the old Cooters Junkyard where to blue bus used to be. Have you ever been there?

It's great to talk to other DOH fans. Here in The Netherlands my buddy Alma had a DOH forum as well, but suddenly Facebook and stuff where more interesting for most of the members so absolutely no activity anymore. I always hated that. So happy to be on a forum that is still alive! Too bad I'm on the other side of the big pond. Would be great to set up a meeting. Anybody else on here with a DOH car?

    Pilot Anniversary!

I’m almost 47 (next month), and I grew up watching & I’ve been a diehard fan most of my life as well. I’ve never gotten to go to a Dukes Fest yet, nor have I ever gotten to meet any of the cast, but that is a dream that I hope to accomplish someday! I have lots of memorabilia, though...the original season DVD sets, a newer Complete Series DVD set, my lunchbox & thermos still, the board game, the TV Guides, posters, 8x10s, but my favorite is I have all the action figures set up with 1:18 scale diecast metal models of all the cars/vehicles that have been made (General Lee, Daisy’s Plymouth Satellite & her Jeep, Rosco’s Plymouth Fury Hazzard cop car, Uncle Jesse’s Ford Truck, and recently Cooter’s Hazzard Chevy Tow Truck)!

    Pilot Anniversary!

It's hard for me to pick a favorite episode but the first one is probably it. Those first 5 are all so great. Don't really have a favorite character since they were all so great!! If I had to choose it would be Daisy tho ❤️ I went to Duke fest in 06 and 07 in Nashville. Catherine was so great and really seemed to love being there. I have met Sonny several times and John several times. Met Catherine one time and met Byron one time. Also met Sherriff Little and James Best once. Have met Rick Hurst a couple of times and Ben several times. I have never got to meet Tom and would like to get his autograph under my deck lid one day. I have all the seasons from when they first put them out on DVD and I have a complete series still in the shrink wrap. I have probably 4 DVD sets of season 1 since I watch that season the most. Got several totes full of collectibles from the show. I like anything from the 80's and have a little bit of everything from Transformers and Masters of the universe and some knight rider stuff. Mostly dukes and transformers make up the biggest part of my toy collection. So I was hooked from the pilot episode and I was 5 years old then and now I'm 48 so been a fan most of my lifetime. Got a photo album full of filming sites from the first 5 episodes. So cool to ride on the same roads they drove on making the episodes. Have driven my charger down there a few times and to Nashville twice and once to Gatlinburg. Good old car but it likes the gas stations lol

  23. I have had the charger since 1999. I bought the car running and driving from a guy named Breet Popwell. It was owned by Billy Stevenson before Breet got it. It wasn't in terrible shape but I have done alot of work to it over the years. I got it just before the price of chargers shot through the roof. The only good luck I have ever had lol. There is a guy named Shane that moved to covington from Iowa. I chat with him occasionally.
