  1. Maybe she should quit and reapply? LOL. That is so frustrating! This whole country is getting out of hand. I applied for help and got denied for the same reasons...supposedly I make too much money. Yet they help people who don't work...with my money. This whole country is running backwards. Sooooo frustrating! I'm sorry you both are going through that...to work that long and get paid the same, is just not right. Common sense is sparse these days... Too bad we aren't back in Hazzard County...where they like happy endings!

  2. On the happy side, I'm pumped about pro dirt bike racing this year. Another big race tomorrow (Sat) night. They have a new system this year called Supermotocross because they wanted playoffs like every other sport has. You get points for Supercross, which is racing in stadiums. You get points for Motocross, which is racing outdoors. And then they have a 3 race playoff for everybody who has accumulated enough points in both to qualify. I hope Emma Tisdale makes the playoffs! Let 'er rip! You know how they hang a stick in front of a horse to get it to walk? They should fly a drone in front of her with a picture of Jesse on it.

  3. Jimmie Johnson new number revealed! Finally some excited news to share with y'all regarding NASCAR. Jimmie Johnson has finally revealed his new car number! *Drum Roll* He will be driving the car number 84! Just 48, but backwards. LOL! He will always be the 48 with Hendrick. Sad he is racing for a different team and not Hendrick, but he couldn't co own or co run Hendrick as he is with Richard Petty...Johnson's former boss co runs Hendrick - Jeff Gordon. I'm just glad Johnson is back with NASCAR and I will get to see him for a few races this year...I'll be confused on who to go for. Johnson or Elliott. Maybe they will finish first and second those races! 25 days until the Busch Light Clash! 39 LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG days until Daytona 500!

    NASCAR news

Kenseth, Shelmerdine, and McGriff into NASCAR Hall of Fame Matt Kenseth, Kirk Shelmerdine, and Hershel McGriff were inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Matt Kenseth won the 2003 NASCAR championship (if I remember right, the first playoff championship). Shelmerdine was with Dale Earnhardt SR to help him with his seven championships, and McGriff won a few races...he raced in 2018 at the age of 90. I can't remember that, but how awesome is that? The only name of the three I know is Matt Kenseth. I watched him race against Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Gordon got his first punishment against Kenseth. They were racing at Bristol, Kenseth as leading and got booted from the lead, Gordon as third and on the last lap Kenseth wrecked Gordon. Immediately came over to apologize (Gordon still had helmet on) Gordon was mad and pushed Kenseth. Kenseth later said he should have waited a bit before apologizing...but NASCAR punished Gordon for pushing Kenseth. 15 more days until the Clash at Bristol! 29 long days until the Daytona 500! We are slowly getting there y'all!

  8. True, many times actors who have played a certain type of character on a show that becomes immensely popular have a hard time getting other types of roles later on...they become typecast. So, if they get chances to play the opposite and/or something completely different than what they’ve played before, they’ll usually do it. But, sometimes it’s very difficult seeing an actor you’ve loved in one role suddenly playing something completely opposite. Other times it’s kind of fun & interesting. I’ve seen a couple of the “Dukes” actors, Angela Lansbury herself from MSW, the ‘Angels’ from Charlie’s Angels, Raymond Burr from Perry Mason, etc...all play bad guys/gals in other things. It’s strange...but kind of cool to see them do completely different things. I’ll be honest though and say I’m not an Andy Griffith fan, as from what I understand he was not that nice in real life...but, again I have to remind myself that these folks are not really the characters they play. They were/are actors. Arnold Schwarzenegger is hilarious in Kindergarten Cop (1990) , by the way. But, I usually prefer his more serious action roles.

That's brilliant Garrett! They will probably get so desperate that the next step they will take will be sign-on bonuses. I'll tell her to do it then!

    NASCAR news

Kevin Harvick is retiring after 2023 More NASCAR news...if you are a Kevin Harvick fan, you may want to cover your ears. This is set to be his last season of driving NASCAR. Not too surprised considering his age and how last season went. Any Chase Elliott fan wouldn't be too sad to see this as they've had their share of arguments, so I'm not going to cry too much. But it is also another veteran driver leaving the sport and that I do find sad. But I take comfort that Jimmie Johnson will be back for a select amount of races this year...just wish he was racing full time. Even if it is for Petty and not Hendrick ... and in the 84 car and not the 48 car... Now if only Jeff Gordon would come back....HA HA. As much as I would love to see that, I doubt that would ever happen. I miss seeing Gordon and Johnson out on the track every week. Go Chase Elliott! 24 more days until the Busch Clash race ! 38 loooonnnnggggg days until the Daytona 500! Not that I'm counting or anything...I am just in need of NASCAR and baseball. My withdrawals real y'all!

Yeah and the younger generation thinks they should be making $20+ an hour and get hour lunches and half hour breaks and also make their own hours. One of them got their walking papers a few weeks ago at the wife's work when they went off on the foreman for changing their break.

Off the subject....I am so mad right now. My wife worked a double shift today. Her workplace has been having trouble finding employees the past 2 years so has been offering more and more money to attract people. They are now offering to pay their newly hired secretaries the same amount per hour that she is making.....AND SHE HAS BEEN THERE 44 YEARS! I guess this is not the fault of management. They need people and this is the only way to get them. The government is just paying more money for people to stay home than work. Oh well, we aren't supposed to get political here. We can only do that if defending the Dukes so I won't go any further. It's infuriating. I can't wait for her to retire....hopefully in the fall.
