  1. Be careful everybody! Even with one hand on my beer and the other on the wheel, I noticed there's oil and gas on the track!

  2. I'll start you off: 'Double Sting' originally aired on 11 May, 1979, which was Denver Pyle's 59th birthday.

  4. Howdy y’all, this is just a little thread I wanted to create to help us walk down memory lane, we all remember Dukes, but what other shows did you grow up with as a kid? Interested to see what people grew up with and remember

  5. I only had NBC my entire childhood so missed a lot of shows. When I was 19 and Dukes came out I would go to my grandparents to watch it. They could afford a nicer antenna and really tall pole for it.

  6. Things really going downhill from here. Even Skipper has passed Roger. Looking like a fourth place finish. But wait! In the excitement of the competition Roger forgot about the back up nitrous oxide Cooter installed for moments just like this. He hits the toggle switch to turn the primary system off and hits another switch to turn the secondary system on. Once again g-forces push him back. He passes Skipper and is on the move...back into third place. A quick glance in the mirror shows Emma Tisdale closing in on Skipper. The front wheel of her dirt bike has been off the ground the last several miles. But she is starting to run low on nitrous oxide.

  11. I've started to celebrate DOHD ( DUKES OF HAZZARD DAY) a little early. I'm free, tomorrow, wife is off and I just went through an endoscope on my stomach ( I guess it went ok) and I have an appt. later this month and then another operation to fix a hernia that was supposedly fixed last year! ( NEVER!!! NEVER go to Dr. Scott Copeland, Cookeville Tn.) He is a Quack......unless you like being operated on every 6 months! But anyway, I've got most of it behind me.....I think! But......IT IS.......DOHD!! HAPPY EARLY DOHD!!!

  13. All of a sudden everybody smells burning alcohol and they know Hobie is on their butt!! I'm now, at this time, indulging in a few AB's ( Adult Beverages) and making my big move!

  14. Garrett watched Roger slow dramatically down in his rear view mirror with a hint of concern, but seeing him drop to third, assumed and hoped he was ok before looking forward with excitement with nothing but the finish line in view ahead of him.

  15. That is a good question. I'd never thought about it. Only a big time Dukes fan would wonder something like that!

  16. I know I've posted something like this before, but this is more detailed. I have several "errors" situations etc. firstly, we know that the 1st episode aired in 1979. in it Waylon says last year (1978) the boys got caught on a run. in happy birthday general lee (aired 1984) we learn 8 years prior (1976) is when they got the general, bo was "just getting out of hs", Luke got out or marines, (not sure of how long someone could/had to stay in service back then) but they were even on probation then. (my guess is they never wanted they boys to use guns) Daisys shotgun wedding (aired 1983) : she had been working at boars nest for 4 years. was it 79 or 76? Hazzard hijack: Lukes's marine "buddy" was part of stolen money 5 years prior (1976) (they never "found" each other after Luke came home) 1979 ghost of general lee rosco says he chased the boys so many times over the years it was only three years I'm sure it was more (but I'm specifically talking of the general) bye bye boss 1981: ten years prior boss sent digger to jail (the "kids" did not know about it) play it again luke 1984: luke last saw candy 7 years prior (1977) there are several others that "meet each other" I know they were never thinking facts for timelines just rewatching it is funny with some episodes.
