...for the county. Wichita Lineman makes me sad. One of my dad's early jobs was as a lineman for PacBell. It hits even harder now that he's in a nursing home after his stroke.
I hear you singing in the wire
I can hear you through the whine
And the Wichita lineman
Is still on the line
Property
(my reply to "taxes")
It's my favorite song - I think I can quote it word for word. There's something about the lyric "And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time" that always gets to me. Imagine how good it could've been if Jimmy Webb had finished it!
Skipper, I just don't understand why you don't do it the way I suggested here. I hate to side with Hoss but I can't blame him for wanting accuracy. People expect inaccuracies on Facebook but the HazzardNet is the top Dukes of Hazzard website on the planet so accuracy is important since people use it as a reference.
But please don't get mad about this and leave. You are one of the best things that has happened to HN. You are a walking Dukes encyclopedia and are loaded with love and enthusiasm for Hazzard. You have injected so much energy into the place at a time when things were slowing down and I can't imagine this place without you. We love ya cousin! ❤
I have a 1:18 scale General lee Tomy Johnny Lightning in good condition in box. Anyone know the value. Also 1991 ertl in package, good to mint package any value of that? Thanks.
There have been so many versions of the General Lee in diecast, even from just Johnny Lightning and Ertl. I couldn't find the exact models that you have when I looked, so I'd suggest you see what similar models are going for on ebay. Some sellers are asking $200-$300 for the Ertl 1:18 models from the early 2000s. Owners of 'chase' editions are asking considerably more.
I'm done making plans this year because I never get to follow through with them. Something always comes up and ruins the weekend. At least I took out today's frustration on the weeds in the flower bed.
I feel your pain MM. My dad is in bad shape too. So sad to see after knowing how strong he once was. He had biceps that were massive but can barely walk now even with help.
I think the last word is county so I'm going with TAXES.
