hi guys, I like to know that are coming next Feb 20 for Daytona 500 and what you think lot change this year? lot new scheme paint and you know that #82 change to #4 as red bull blue/red one and #29 kevin hevick had change scheme as budweiser black/red and #22 had change from #29's old scheme, UPS, others still same but paint bit change and #14 Tony Stewart will had Office Depot with Mobil 1 as well. With the 2011 NASCAR season underway, I have signed up for a NASCAR fantasy team for the second time in a row. Though this time it is with members from Jeff Gordon's official website fanforum and has more members that I had with my cousin's team which was only the three of us (though I was the winner of the team of three. Not so bad on my first try.) Though sadly, didn't fare too well on the first race of the season since all four of my starters were involved in accidents throughout the race. Well the Nationwide Series raced at Daytona today and right before the checkered flag fell, a huge wreck forced Kyle Larson's car up into the fence. Injuring up to 28 fans...12 people getting rushed to the emergencey room...Tony Stewart went on to win the race. The accident There is a video and an article about the last lap accident...and that is one wicked wreck that left me in chills. Larson's engine was in the grandstand...his front part of his car was completely off. Glad to see him get out OK after that...he has to be shaken up and feel horrible about it. It's another Carl Edwards type wreck he had at Talledega. Just scary. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone…

Has anyone ( besides me) seen the video of the guy in a local race of some kind and he just won and was standing in front of the crowd and the female reporter was interviewing him and it was LIVE.....so nothing could be bleeped out etc. The crowd was chanting..." F Joe Biden, F Joe Biden" and the reporter tried to cover it up by saying , " The crowd is saying " Let's Go Brandon!" ( the first name of the driver). You could tell what they were really saying though. I just bought a " Let's Go Brandon " T shirt! You obviously have some REAL Americans in that area!

Well, I for one, am having a hard time believing that the 2010 NASCAR season is over and that I am left waiting three months until the next race. It just seems wrong not to have a race on to watch on Sundays! Well lucky for me that there is a few breaks in the off season that either have a preseason race or for this instance, the award ceremony. The NASCAR award ceremony will be in Las Vegas as it was last year and only the top ten drivers are allowed to be there. This year award ceremony will be on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 9:00 PM (I assume EST since most are on that time zone, but it don't say, so I'd check your local listing to be sure on the time. . .) on the SPEED…

Richie Evans "King Of The Modifieds". This one driver holds special meaning to me. I watched him race locally growing up. He is the only hall of famer so far that hasn't raced at the Cup level. I grew up on Long Island and went to our local track "World Famous" Islip Speedway up until it closed in 1984. I only lived about 2 miles from the track. Modifieds and figure 8 racing were the main features. Modifieds especially. The Northeast and Long Island back in the 70s and 80s was "Modified Country".
