So I'm back after like 2 years or something. Not exactly sure why I strayed away but I'm back now. I hope to be a little more active and just may get more of my fanfiction worked on again. They have been such slow works in progress. Well I guess I've had a couple big things happen. Been working still. Cutting hair. Think I had just started when I went away. I'm still with the same company. Had switched stores in the same franchise but come Saturday I will be joining a different franchise. My benefits will be better and as well as the environment. Pay is also better which is always a plus. The best change: I've found myself my own good ol' boy. Like literally my …

  15. Hey y'all. Well, I've been reading these forums on and off for several years, and have finally got around to signing up! (I work and often live on a boat, so internet access comes and goes!) I've been a Dukes fan my whole live. I was born in 1978, and Dukes began here in the U.K. in March '79, so I guess you could say I've literally grown up with it. One of my first memories is sitting on my Dad's knee (or by him when I was old enough to say "I'm old enough now!) watching Dukes. Even though our family has sadly had some hard times and very much fallen apart, Dukes remains one of the few 'bonding' things between my Dad and I. When something breaks he'd mention about havi…

  16. Started by Rumbuilder,

Good Morning everyone, My name is Matt, and am a child of the 80's. I grew up watching reruns of the Dukes that my older brother and I forced our mother to record on vhs while we where at school. Like so many others my age, this show sent me down the gear head path full steam ahead. My whole life has been about cars, But it wasn't until I started listening to the Kibbie and Finnegan podcast that I really remembered my love for the Dukes and that dang orange car. I don't have the room or the cash to have a real general, but Know I need something Dukes in my life (I already have a van painted up like the A-team van). I came up with an idea recently that combines a f…

Hey just thought I'd jump in here and say hi. Oh and to explain the background behind my Username. Now lets assume that in season 6 Cooter's 34, and this is from a vague memory of Cooter's girl, because he was 16 when Nancy Lou was born and that is 18 years later. Now if we take this to be true we can say that two years before that, when he was 14 he made the same mistake but wasn't told of it and now has a 20 year old illegitimate daughter and Nancy Lou's half sister e.g. Me. This is actually a theory I'm working with for a fanfiction I'm writing but haven't posted. main background part is that she was raised in Atlanta and her step-dad's last name is Jackson hince the …

  18. I am Robert John Broadhurst II. Dukes fan since TNN 1996. I was 9 years old. Now I am 33. I will be a fan forever. One can not ever get bored with The Dukes of Hazzard. My other shows are Gilligan's Island and The Andy Griffith Show. Fan of those since age 3 1990. One can not ever get bored of the island or Mayberry either. Looking forward to chatting with y'all. Have been trying to join since 2012 to no avail. I have finally been successful. Have a good evening/morning wherever y'all may be in the world. Catch y'all on the flip side.

Well I finally broke down and joined the forum. I was just 7 going on 8 when the show first aired and at first I only watched it because it came on TV right after the Incredible Hulk. Eventually I came to watch Dukes of Hazzard entirely for its own merits and have come to realize that some 30 years later, the old Dukes of Hazzard show has held up a lot better than the old Incredible Hulk TV show! I'm originally from Minneapolis, MN, but moved to the coastal bend region of Texas after Minneapolis just had no more jobs to offer. I do plan on moving back now that the economy has made a bit of an upswing, but for now am just trying to work up the funds. LOVE the old TV sho…

Been awhile since I been on here, lot's have happened in my life, and now I am here again, thank goodness my account is still here.! I was peeved to the bone when I found out WB wanted to strip the General Lee from it's flag, like are they nuts??? Was glad to see the forum on the flag is staying, that was a relief !!! Last Year, May 3 2012, I got married, and for the friends I have made on here, you know how my life was kind a mess, but now I am happy, I am married and thrilled to be back on HN!!!!!

  21. Hello, my name is Driver. I wanted to join this forum because I've decided to re-watch The Dukes of Hazzard series from the beginning and I thought it would be fun to talk to other fans of the show. To be honest, I have not watched it since the first run in the 80s. With the exception of a few reruns of course. I've recently had the yearning to fully immerse myself into the program again. Not only to watch it but to talk about and hear about different aspects of the filming, actors, settings and era of The Dukes of Hazzard. I also have a special story of meeting the cast when I was a child. I would like to share it once I get to know the people on here! My DVD of Season 1…

Hello all....I am selling one of my cars (1967 Corvette) and looking to fill the empty space in my garage with a car I've wanted since I was a kid...a General Lee of course. I have a 1 year old son and am looking to take him with me on weekend cruises with Dad. Can't do that in a Corvette. I thought I'd try this forum and see if anyone knows of one for sale. I search Ebay all the time but good examples are hard to come by. I prefer a GL in great condition with a 440 but I'd consider a 383. No 318's...No race cars or projects.....looking to spend around $35k give or take. Hopefully I'll have one soon and meet up with members of this fourm at future DukesFests.....went…

Hello, I have been looking for a new Duke family to join and post for. I have been writing since November of last year on FanFiction. net but due to a few cyber-stalkers, I need a new home. A select few have taken me on as their "Special Project" it would seem. A couple of friends and family members reviewed some of my stories(Amazing since they never wanted to read them until I posted some on-line) and reviewed others as well. Long story short, I have been accused of being by reviewers even though I have never done such a thing to up my own reviews. I hope to find that this site will be the home I am looking for. I also hope that if my stalkers follow me here, that …
