Introduce Yourself

If you're new to our forums or have just been lurking without posting, here's a good place to make your first post by introducing yourself. Tell us how big a Dukes of Hazzard fan you are! But remember, there IS such a thing as TMI (too much information). ;)

  1. Started by Burl Tolliver,

I've been reading here on and off for years, and decided it was time to join up. I'm 42 years old and have been a fan at least since the age of 2. Have two boys 9 and 10 who are the biggest fans I've seen since I was their age. I guess it runs in the family. From the age of 2, the oldest understood that watching a police car land in the lake was the funniest thing on TV. The youngest thinks Rosco is the real hero of the show, and makes his brother be both Duke boys so he can chase him. I chose my handle by typing in names of minor characters until I found one that was not already taken. I'm a casual Mel Tillis fan but not real big. Favorite seasons are 2 a…

  2. I am Robert John Broadhurst II. Dukes fan since TNN 1996. I was 9 years old. Now I am 33. I will be a fan forever. One can not ever get bored with The Dukes of Hazzard. My other shows are Gilligan's Island and The Andy Griffith Show. Fan of those since age 3 1990. One can not ever get bored of the island or Mayberry either. Looking forward to chatting with y'all. Have been trying to join since 2012 to no avail. I have finally been successful. Have a good evening/morning wherever y'all may be in the world. Catch y'all on the flip side.

Life goes fast. I probably posted here once upon a time. I have FINALLY completed a years long process. The General Lee is built from an original MPC kit from 1969 I picked up from e-bay. The previous owner had painted it a gold/copper color back in the day with automotive paint(cannot be stripped/etches itself into the plastic). I came across the Lee 1 story and it was perfect. It took parts from numerous kits and hours of replaying scenes from One Armed Bandit. Stories on the background cars to follow.

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to say hello! I have been watching DOH since I was a little boy in the 80's . I have been reading this page for many years but finally wanted to join. I successfully taped every show while it was broadcast on the Nashville Network. It was all on vhs tape. I spend a lot of time buying old cars and lunch boxes to decorate my radio room. I currently hold a ametuer radio licence and spend a lot of time on the radio talking with friends locally and all over USA. I always make sure to mention that I got started in radio due to the DOH. I currently own 2 CB radios that were the type used in the General Lee. I have made a Youtube video of those…

  15. Started by Rumbuilder,

Good Morning everyone, My name is Matt, and am a child of the 80's. I grew up watching reruns of the Dukes that my older brother and I forced our mother to record on vhs while we where at school. Like so many others my age, this show sent me down the gear head path full steam ahead. My whole life has been about cars, But it wasn't until I started listening to the Kibbie and Finnegan podcast that I really remembered my love for the Dukes and that dang orange car. I don't have the room or the cash to have a real general, but Know I need something Dukes in my life (I already have a van painted up like the A-team van). I came up with an idea recently that combines a f…

  16. Hello everyone I grew up with the Dukes and Knight Rider in the 70's and 80's. Before that I was a Herbie the Love Bug fan (still am). I was a giant Star Wars nerd for the longest time, now not so much. Nice site you have here. Really enjoying the behind the scenes pics

  18. Started by Shooter2759,

I’ve only been here for quite a few weeks, but all the content here is nice (mostly with the squad cars though...) But when I found out about this forum I hadn’t known about The Dukes of Hazzard (sure there was the 2000s movie but the TV series from before? Nope.) apart from the fact that several of the patrol cars used by the lawmen in Hazzard County have made appearances in other films and TV series, plus somewhat more notable cars too. Movies that I’ve watched so far: The Blues Brothers, Smokey & The Bandit as well as S&TB2, plus H.B Halicki’s The JunkMan, the original Gone In Sixty Seconds and it’s 2000s reboot and Blues Brothers 2000. …

  19. Started by Wakko,

I used to post quite a bit on CGLFC and stepped away from the Dukes/Charger scene when my Charger had an unfortunate accident. I recently decided to get the old boy up and running again and dust off my Dukes collection for my son's 01st birthday, and was sad to find many of the old Dukes websites gone. Happy to find this one intact, and the photo thread is absolutely EPIC.

Howdy everyone. We're new here. Wife and I are watching Dukes on Amazon. We're currently on Season 5. Great that there's a great looking forum here and will be exploring a lot. We're both deaf (thanks to captions) and we've been fans of the show ever since the show premiered. Sad about James Best's passing not too long ago. We've never met any of the casts, but my wife's best friend from GA has met John Schneider. Chat ya'll laters. Yiz (& Liz, the wife)

So I'm back after like 2 years or something. Not exactly sure why I strayed away but I'm back now. I hope to be a little more active and just may get more of my fanfiction worked on again. They have been such slow works in progress. Well I guess I've had a couple big things happen. Been working still. Cutting hair. Think I had just started when I went away. I'm still with the same company. Had switched stores in the same franchise but come Saturday I will be joining a different franchise. My benefits will be better and as well as the environment. Pay is also better which is always a plus. The best change: I've found myself my own good ol' boy. Like literally my …
