Introduce Yourself

If you're new to our forums or have just been lurking without posting, here's a good place to make your first post by introducing yourself. Tell us how big a Dukes of Hazzard fan you are! But remember, there IS such a thing as TMI (too much information). ;)

  1. Started by CornDog,

Hello everyone. Well, I tried to sign in to the forum and I got an invalid username/password. So I tried the "forget your password" option and it said my email address was not registered. I could have sworn that I was a member here but I guess not. Oh well. Either way.... HELLO!! I've been a Dukes fan longer than I remember.... since I was old enough to stay up as a kid on Friday nights and watch TV (so my mom tells me). My name is Justin Cornette and I am from Jackson Mississippi but I usually go by "CornDog" on many of the forums. I was lucky enough to buy one of the General Lee's from the recent 2005 and 2007 movies. This car is actually better known from it's…

  2. Started by MoPower,

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Mo . While I do like the show alot, and it brings back a lot of memories of my childhood watching it, my biggest interest is with the General Lee Charger. I'm actually working on building a modern day version of it if budget allows....

  3. Started by playforchrissy,

hey i just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum. My name is Christine and I'm glad to be here. Thanks for having me. Does anyone watch Las Vegas, the tv show? I haven't been watching lately and I want to know what's going on. I don't want those like small episode recaps that don't tell you anything. I want some details from like the last three episodes. If you watch it then stop my way. thanks.

Been awhile since I been on here, lot's have happened in my life, and now I am here again, thank goodness my account is still here.! I was peeved to the bone when I found out WB wanted to strip the General Lee from it's flag, like are they nuts??? Was glad to see the forum on the flag is staying, that was a relief !!! Last Year, May 3 2012, I got married, and for the friends I have made on here, you know how my life was kind a mess, but now I am happy, I am married and thrilled to be back on HN!!!!!

Hi there everybody, I'm new to this forum..My name is J, and I'm from the United Kingdom, I joined yesterday but couldn't get my validation right, until now. xD to put it quite simply I'm in my late teens and I'm a very big Dukes fan ( I own Season 1 and I watch the rest of the series online, one of these days I will own the rest of the series) I've been a fan ever since I played The Dukes of Hazzard Racing for Home on the PS1 when I was very young, I have my parents to thank for getting me into the series when they bought me a VHS tape of Season 2, and I really fell in love, The General, The Duke Boys, Uncle Jesse, Daisy, and also Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco and Enos, e…

  6. Started by Swamp Molly,

I grew up watching the Dukes. I remember watching it with my family growing up. I loved it. Now that I have two boys of my own, I am really happy that CMT is showing old episodes of the Dukes. I have gotten the first two seasons on DVD too. My boys LOVE it! I love it that there is something on television that's good that I can watch with them. I also love it too that lately when I've listened in when they're playing, I hear "You're Bo and I'm Luke" and "Hey, let's go get Cooter." I think my boys have finally found something they and I all agree on - The Dukes of Hazzard is good and fun! I miss the days where TV was good and wholesome and original. Today's shows are mostly…

I already posted twice, but nothing showed up. I'm a 46 year old male originally from West Virginia, but currently reside in Ukraine. Watched the DOH from the very beginning. Dreamed of owning a General Lee, but closest I ever came was an '81 Mirada which I rebuilt myself. It was painted Rustoleum Deep Purple Metallic. Almost Plum Crazy. Still want to know if anyone else saw the pilot episode with the '66-67 Charger General Lee?

Hi all. I found this forum recently when so many of my google image searches kept bringing me here, usually to one of Hoss's great posts. All of the image searches are because I'm in the planning and early building stages of creating a Dukes rc car chase for my Youtube channel (it's an RC car channel). I just picked up a Kyosho Phazer with a 70 Charger body, so I have a little work to do to convert it to a 69 General. One way that I'm trying to separate my video(s) from those that are already out there is that I really want to make the rest of my props as correct as possible, within reason. This starts with an accurate Sherrif's car.…

I'm Joe and I've been a fan of The Dukes of Hazzard since I was about 5 or 6 years old, I've stood by the show nearly my whole life leading to a long-standing argument with my father on which 80's TV Car was better, KITT or the General, anyway I look forward to getting to now you all in the future. Best regards, Joe

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to say hello! I have been watching DOH since I was a little boy in the 80's . I have been reading this page for many years but finally wanted to join. I successfully taped every show while it was broadcast on the Nashville Network. It was all on vhs tape. I spend a lot of time buying old cars and lunch boxes to decorate my radio room. I currently hold a ametuer radio licence and spend a lot of time on the radio talking with friends locally and all over USA. I always make sure to mention that I got started in radio due to the DOH. I currently own 2 CB radios that were the type used in the General Lee. I have made a Youtube video of those…

...I'm new here so hello everyone! Right, a quick introduction: The first time I came across the Dukes of Hazzard was in a cardboard box of old die-cast cars. Not the most interesting but please bear with me! I was gifted them from a cousin who thought he had 'outgrown' all the toy cars. (What a silly boy, one does not 'outgrow' toy cars!) I accepted them gladly and after a quick rummage, I discovered only two cars I couldn't place so promptly went to ask my Dad. Well, it just so happened that one of those cars was an orange Dodge Charger and I think you can probably fill in the rest! I became a Dukes of Hazzard fan at the age of 13 and have hel…

Good evening all, Thank you for accepting me on the site. I remember Dukes when I was younger and the girls having a crush on John Schneider, LOL. Good times and great memories come to mind. I love reading posts and listening to ideas about the show- most of all, I enjoy the enthusiasm. I pretty much have a simple life. I love listening to old music- like music before I was born- The Beatles, 1960s girl groups and just anything upbeat and happy Thanks again all!

  20. Started by Rumbuilder,

Good Morning everyone, My name is Matt, and am a child of the 80's. I grew up watching reruns of the Dukes that my older brother and I forced our mother to record on vhs while we where at school. Like so many others my age, this show sent me down the gear head path full steam ahead. My whole life has been about cars, But it wasn't until I started listening to the Kibbie and Finnegan podcast that I really remembered my love for the Dukes and that dang orange car. I don't have the room or the cash to have a real general, but Know I need something Dukes in my life (I already have a van painted up like the A-team van). I came up with an idea recently that combines a f…

Hi y'all, I'm new here. I've been a fan of the show since childhood and one day I will own a General Lee. I currently own a Starsky & Hutch Gran Torino and a Knight Rider "KITT" car. I want a General, the A-Team van and a B2TF Delorean to complete my dream garage! I have started a World Map of TV/Movie cars where you can place a pin and picture of your car, feel free to add your General/Daisy Jeep/Hogg Caddy/Rosco cop car/Cooters truck, whatever, to the map! Glad to be here folks, hope I'll find a lot of great information here! Just a little about myself: I grew up in a small town similar to Hazzard from the series: my town was about 550 people, and surrounded by dirt/gravel roads; and I grew up in a muscle-car loving family--so naturally, as a kid--that country lifestyle was all I knew. It was only natural I should fall in love with the show and the General Lee. Unfortunately, I was forced to move to Utah when I joined the military some years ago--but there are still a few little towns here that remind me of home. As an occupation, I am part-time Air Force Reserve (I load bombs and maintain weapons systems) as a Staff Sergea…
