  1. Started by Julieduke,

I recently got for nuthing a cd of there's and it has a familier to most country music fans song called "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" and I think Lynn Anderson recorded this song but I'm not sure right now. The one song I like one their is called "Hair".

  2. The Dukes of Hazzerd Movie Soundtrack is the one good thing that came from the movie. Every so often I play and I was listening to the cd when i was washing clothes last night and a five song version of the soundtrack to "Walk The Line" they come pretty close there not Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash but not too bad.

Has anyone heard songs from this brand new album or bought it? I just got it over the weekend and I'm telling you it's awesome. If you love The Eagles you won't be disappointed. When I first heard the songs many of them fit like they could be songs in Hazzard. The music has just enough edge and just enough twang to give you that feel of soft mellow classic rock or soft rock country. On top of that mix feel, they almost seem a little folk musicish. However, it really doesn't matter what you classify it as... it just rocks! My favorite songs on this album are How Long, Busy Being Fabulous, Waiting in the Weeds, Do Something, Long Road Out of Eden, I Love to Watch a Woman …

The Fly On The Wall, Just Sits there watching everybody no matter what there doing at any given time. The Fly On The Wall, Keeps Watching, but everytime you get the fly swatter he leaves and watches you get mad and come back later to the same spot again. The Fly On The Wall, Pretty nosy critter really, just watches everybody and just listens. The Fly On The Wall, He just sits there and listens and never really leave, oh where is that darn cat at right now I sure could use her to come here right now.

I used the search, but wasn't able to find a thread. I do love the Ramones. Are there other fans out there? I was invited by a friend to go with him to a festival, when the Ramones were playing in the early 90ties and I refused, because I wasn't much of a fan back then. It maddens me to think of the opportunity I've missed... I then saw Marky and the Ramones Revival Band at Wacken 2005... it was better then nothing and I actually really did enjoy it. R.I.P. 19. Started by HossC,

A radio show I listen to has a weekly feature where they put up two versions of a song, the original and a good cover, and debate which is better; sometimes with surprising results. For example, this week's comparison was 'Tracks of my Tears' with versions by Smokey Robinson and Linda Ronstadt. It's the one from a couple of weeks ago that still has me undecided. The subject that week was Leonard Cohen's track 'Tower of Song' from his 1988 album 'I'm Your Man'. The cover version was by Tom Jones from his new album 'Spirit in the Room'. I must confess, I didn't know either version beforehand, but expected the Leonard Cohen one to win. After listening to both several times I…

Ok I thought I would make this a bit more challenging. You have to name a song that was written for the "Truckers". You need to know your Classic Country music in order to understand this or have Truckers in your family like I do when it comes to the both I mentioned. So I will start this one off. Good luck everyone! "Roses for Mama" by C.W. McCall - Greatest Hits (naming album is optional)
