Just saw the movie (unrated version) a few days ago. I have never seen the dukes of hazzard before, so I thought i'd give it a chance. Anyway, it made me want to see what the real dukes was like, so I'm watching a marathon on CMT right now. I think I like the series better. The few eps I've seen have the characters portrayed a lot different than on the movie, i think. Anyway, the one thing about the movie i thought was cool was seeing my university on the big screen (LSU). What are some of the ideas that you have for a Third Dukes of Hazzard Movie would you cast and who would keep and replace as well. I think they should keep Harland Williams as Rosco he was funny in the role but they need somebody older for Enos he was too young.

In case any of you were curious the producer of the Dukes movie hired the stunt coordinator from the Borne Supremecy to do the car chase scenes and for any of you that have scene that movie this is good news! All the scenes in that film were exciting and hair raising. It tells me that they are taking this movie seriously even if it's gonna have a more contemporary feel, which I like. They made 23 General Lee's for the chase scenes alone and had a few others that didn't get destroyed. i found this in a dukes e-mail news letter: However, Wopat is not part of the upcoming "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, starring Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke, Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg and Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse. Hey guys i'm new here. I was casted as an extra in the movie and got to watch a lot of the filming in Baton Rouge and Clinton. Mr.Nelson performs the Dukes theme song, beyond awsome. but unfortuneate that its Only 1 minute long. who here wouldve like to hear an extended version (ie: 4min) of that opening theme? shouldve been done. im gone.

Hey, I haven't wrote in a while, but i heard the other day on the radio that Willie Nelson is going to be the Balladeer for the movie...anybody got any info on that?...let me know if so!

I was watchin tv the other nite and I saw Leno kinda knocking the dukes I was kinda surprised to see him of all people knock this movie. He himself claims to be a big car guy so I kinda figured and car person would love the movie. thats just my opion seeing as tho this is the best car movie since smokey and the bandit....at least imo....seeing as tho all the new movies use all the CGI crap.

According to this weeks issue of People magazine, Warner Bros. have cast the parts of Bo and Luke for the upcoming big screen movie. Sean William Scott, aka "Stiffler" form American Pie, is to play Bo Duke and Johnny Knoxville, of "Jackass" fame, is to play Luke Duke. As for Daisy, Jessica Simpson was seen arriving at Warner Bros studios dressed in Daisy Duke attire reportedly for a script reading. The Studio also announced that negotiations are underway for Burt Reynolds to play Boss Hogg.

Wondering, Will white Ford truck be in movie which Uncle Jesse used to drive? I bet they might replace to white Chevrolet or white Dodge Ram like as they did to Movie's Cooter??? Maybe they use different color, multicolor or primed gray? I hope they better not to put Uncle Jesse in tin Nissan, Mazda or Toyota pickup because I heard movie director is Nissan Nut. I havent seen the movie yet, but heard a while back about the scene that touches on the Confederate Battle Flag on the General's roof. Could someone please explain this scene to me...what is said and what exactly happens. This scene is one of the reasons I havent seen the movie yet. If it degrades the flag in any way I probably wont go to see it. Thanks.

I hope Willie has those awful braided ponytails cut off if he is to play Uncle Jesse!!! Honestly, that is one charactor that shouldnt be fouled up by anyone, especially someone that is not an actor. In my opinion, Jesse was everybodies uncle (eventhough he corrected everyone that called him Uncle Jesse, "I ain't your Uncle Jesse") and the most respected charactor on the show by everyone, all the charactors called him Sir or Mr. Duke. I just hate to see Uncle Jesse get dissed. I don't have a problem with the other cast members, and I know it is being built as a more serious atmosphere, but leave Unlce Jesse, as Uncle Jesse!!! Dan

its great to see that the WB is making progress Bo Luke and diasy have are cast but havent heard about jesse rosco or cooter. articales say its not exactly like the original dukes its being written directed by a guy who wrote super troopers Don't know if I like the sound of that. the general lee should be like the original general but who knows what they will do. I hope it has the charactoistis of the original and it sounds to me like they are going to make it different????? For what it is worth; I was in New Orleans, LA about 2 weeks ago, and I was privledged enough to witness a couple of stunt scenes for the new movie. Now I only got to see a few stunt actors, and a drifter that was also featured on Rides, Rhys Millen. P.S. The "Xtreme Lee" is kind of a bunk car. They could have taken that thing to a whole new level, even painting black inlay on the rims and making the "01" bigger would have helped. In any case; I saw the costumes for Bo and Luke both. okay, I'll come clean - i saw it, again - yesterday. and if you thought you saw it all the first time, see it again! you notice so much more as if it was a different movie all together. mostly in the chase scenes though. so if you guys & gals out there have the time, have the money and have the Heart, go see it again. im gone. -Brad PS. anyone here already seen it twice?
