I spent the day at the All American Car, Truck & Bike Show in Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath. American cars are pretty rare here (there's a '65 Mustang I've seen around a couple of times, and there's a guy about 10 miles away with a Dodge Ram pickup), so to see so many in one place was great. There was a good turnout of Mustangs, and I'm sure MaryAnne would have liked the dozen or so '70s and '80s Trans-Ams. Obviously the highlight of the day was finding a General there. I spent about half an hour talking Dukes with the car's owner, Gary. He told me that he knows of one other General in Ireland, but that might be it. I know several HNet members have their own Generals, so t…

Im not sure if this fits better here or in fan art, but, I'm starting a new project. I bought a 1:25 scale 68 Charger at Hobby Lobby. There were, unfortunately, no 69 in stock, with no nearby hobby stores. And buying models online is a gamble that I don't want to risk. I'm going to try my best to turn it into The General! So if any of you have any tips, tricks, or recommend products, I would be very grateful if you could share!

I'm in Myrtle Beach for the weekend and we went to a car museum and they had The General! They also had Bandit1 and a 69 Dodge Charger 500 which I think would have been so cool if they painted it like The General Grant. These were all down at Wheels of Yesteryear near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina https://g.co/kgs/VtTVpFn (Also apologies if this is posted in the wrong topic, I'm still kind of learning)

Good Morning, I'm sure this has been asked or attempted before. But I can not find a related post. Is anyone making complete General Lee Magnetic Decals for 69 Chargers? Has it been attempted? if so, did it end miserably with a rebel flag across the guys windshield behind you? I get that taking magnets off and on will scratch the paint.. I'm considering putting clear chip guard on first so that the magnetic decals can come off on and on. I'd even consider storing them on a spare roof and doors so that they retain their shape. Looking for some advice, I know this is not the ideal way to do this but with everything going on currently it might be my only option.. I woul…

O.K., So I have a question regarding The Generals screen accurate CB antenna. I know the screen correct antenna is a Radio Shack Tear Drop antenna. I have seen a few of these in person. Some appear to be a very dark grey. Some appear to be a dark brown. I also know there are companies producing the Tear Drop as a REPRODUCTION. Please let me know what you guys think should be correct color ???. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I thought I start a new topic about my car to keep on subject in the other topic about Tom Sarmento. Well, my General Lee. For people that don't know the car, I own a 1969 Dodge Charger and made a LEE1-replica out of it. Not 100% accurate, but comes very close. I bought the car from a company in your country that where suppose to have restored it but they cut corners. Don't want to say much more about that, what has been done has been done... It was the reason for me to redo the car back in 2009 and decided to make a LEE1-replica because I didn't want just a General Lee but a specific car. The car was finished in 2010. I had a lot of fun with …

Hey y'all I saw a post on CGLFC about Lee 2 and how it had concrete in the trunk. Now I thought Lee 1 wasn't crushed because it had concrete in the trunk. If that's the case then what happened to Lee 2,the jumped Mary Kayes car,the police car that jumped with Mary Kayes car ,and Lee 5? And I also remember reading somewhere that Cliff Shaw (the junkyard owner) got around 50 cars when Dukes finished in Georgia.Somehow I find this hard to believe because that means that practically everyone car used would have a double, and both of them sold off to Cliff.Does anybody know anything about the number of cars that Cliff got? Thanks y'all

https://www.autoclassics.com/news/448014/general-lee-true-shade-orange/ Interesting, I always thought it was a cheap color and the cheapest colors that was carried in the paint store I worked at many years ago were school bus yellow and an orange color that a local industrial rental shop bought by the barrel. Both of those colors were about $9 a gallon.

Hello guys I’m new and introduced myself a couple of years ago and just got my password reset. Anywho, I’m in search of a narrow push bar template so I can make one for my Georgia based Lee I’m building. I seen something about Jon Holland had templates but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on here. I would really appreciate any help in this matter. I have recently recreated the Carroll Shelby Wheels center cap decals for my car and have purchased the tear drop antenna. I’m trying to get the real difficult pieces bought before I finish it. You have to have the cherry on top to call it done. I’d rather not wait once it’s done. Hahaha

I guess this goes here. You probably know this guy, but if you don't. Tom Sarmento is one of the guys who prepared General Lee's for the show and is full of great stories about it. Hoss has a great video of him, I cant find it at the moment... But anyway. He met up with two big Duke fans from my country twice now and they have recorded some footage of him driving in their almost perfect replica General Lee which I thought was worth sharing.

Just blocked someone. On Facebook. Argument with me GENERAL LEE was gray in the TV pilot. No it was not. Never gray. Always orange. Corvette Flame Red Code Dupont 70 to be more precise. It was black in the story flashback Happy Birthday General Lee before getting the now famous paint that we all know. In the original idea, it was to be Confederate Gray and called Traveler after General Lee's horse. With 99 on the doors and flag on the hood. All that changed in the final product to the name of the man himself and 01 doors and flag moved to roof with the GENERAL LEE text on sides of the flag. The original plan(treatment)must be what he's thinking about. Idk where else other…

Has anyone seen the "Waxing the General Lee" video??? I found a link to it at www.dukesofhazzardmovie.com The ad implies that the video may contain some fast driving/ stunts with a "G.L." but, looking at the cover, I am wondering if this is just a nudie video in a "Dukes" package???? Can anyone tell me what exactly is in this video- is it worth the purchase??? Thanks.

Always heard the first 3 cars used Summit brand tires, but was unfamiliar with them. Googled them once or twice and came up with nothing. I struck gold tonight! Summit Super Trac is what the GA cars used. Just a new tidbit of trivia for y'all!

So... I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if this would be the correct spot to place this... But I've recently been watching The Dukes on Prime, currently in season 7, and I got to thinking about how my dad and I both love the show and how we both love General, I think it would be a huge undertaking and I know my dad won't be able to help me with it, which means I won't have that bonding time with him, but I've been thinking about pretty much building the General. I think it'll be a great way to learn about cars and their parts, but also to have a bit of a hobby, and reason to get my hands dirty. I'm kinda thinking about building two Generals though, one for me and one t…
