Y'all remember there being 2 Sheriff's of Hatchapee County? Sheriff Emmitt "Spike" Loomis and Sheriff Floyd? Well, my theory about this is that maybe Sheriff Emmitt "Spike" Loomis got his pension retired and stayed home then to take care of his wife and kids if had a wife and kids, and Sheriff Floyd ran for election and got voted in to take over.

Didn't those two old timers have a history of going a long way back of knowing each other? All's I remember that Jesse somehow got even with the Boss when Hogg was about to win money over a race or something and Jesse just announced on the loud speaker that Boss was going to donate the money to charity or something. To protect his good name, Boss reluctantly gave in, but they celebrated with hot dogs and other snacks. Which episode was this?

On part of the site, here, it says that Bo is the youngest of the 3 cousins but I believe Daisy was the youngest of the 3, Bo was just younger than Luke.

Have you noticed in the opening of Trouble at Cooter's, Russ Mitchell in his brown van hauling the fur coats, hits Cooter on purpose? He smiles before backing up into Cooter's truck.

Am I wrong , or was there a particular movie that the DOH tv series was based on? I was only 9-10 at the time, but i swear that I remember hearing that. I even remember seeing parts of a movie that it was said that the show was based on. It was a serious movie. Not a comedy. Can anyone help? cd

Bo Duke turns 55 tomorrow (April 8). Think about this for a second. Since Uncle Jesse was born in 1920 he was 59 in 1979 when the show first came out. This means that Bo is only 4 years away from being Jesse's age! By the way, I turn 55 just 7 days after Bo so that's why I think about these things.

hi guys I wonder put idea thread here and when I watch DOH everynight at 6pm and then later watch other tv show and then going bed then next morning and also are you still feeling voice running in your mind? my voice mind still running said "welcome to hazzard county" and sheriff rosco coltrane chase dukes like jump and I can feeling in my mind said "welcome to hazzard county and rosco said ghkuu... keeping said...." not know why I can still feeling voice in my mind.. not stopping... Does any one you guys have it? then post here this thread thanks smile.

What're your favorite comments by our beloved balladeer? From the episode The Treasure of Soggy Marsh they are: "We're about to see an interesting experiment in physics, the one about the irresistible force and the immovable object...and somebody better duck!" "Now what kind of fella could see a woman that looks like that and that's all he can think of to say. He must be a city boy." The one that ALWAYS comes to mind is "The Hazzard County carwarsh" when Roscoe, his deputies and their cars all wind up in a lake.

This will be a tough thread that will test us pretty good. Ask if something in particular was ever on (even just once) in the 7 years of the ORIGINAL SHOW. You don't even have to know the answer. Was there ever a cat on the show? I can't think of one.

I want to start a thread on things done or said in the show that didn't make any sense ( I think I may have touched on this before, but it would still make a nice thread, with different people thinking of things others missed!). What are ya'lls favorite special features on the DOH DVDs..... i loved the BBQ and the Good Ol' Friends ones, but then again I loved all the special features....lol!!

There's been alot of bashing of season 7-not on this site though. Here's my opinion. Yes it was different. There were weird things involved-an alien and a robot. A trip to Hollywood. Flashbacks of the past(Happy Birthday General Lee and Go West Young Dukes). It just was not like the other seasons. But I wouldn't say it's the worst. If you asked me which season was the worst, I really couldn't answer that question. It had some cheesy, even stupid episodes, but so did the other seasons. Maybe just on a slightly larger scale. But it did have a few that I really enjoyed-Happy Bday General Lee, When you Wish Upon a Hogg, The haunting of J.D. Hogg, and my season 7 favorite Coo…

I remember seeing part of an episode where Rosco and Boss arrested Bo and Luke for a stolen General Lee. Then Bo and Luke said claimed the car as their's but Boss said open the doors and the doors opened. I am not talking about Episode 7 Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough.
