Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

I noticed that "The Dukes of Hazzard" had a Smurfette problem. That is the show only had one female main character, as opposed to recurring characters. That meant that the show placed the female characteristics onto one person. My idea would have been, in addition to two male cousins, two female cousins. That would have even out the character traits. What do you think?

I've always been interested in pocket knives and that includes Bo and Luke's. I was wondering if there is any story behind them? Does anyone have any pix of them? Or know of a episode that one or the others knife was shown really good so I can do a screencap.

Hey y'all!! As some of y'all may know I recently started a thread on Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch. Unfortunately it's slowed down considerably because I can't find any decent quality pictures. Hey everybody, I was just thinking, you know the scenes of the episodes they show, while they're playing the music and the show is coming on? Well, we all know the episodes that the scenes are from but there's one on Coy and Vance's episodes that I don't think ever really happened. Remember when Coy threw Vance a dish in the kitchen and uncle Jesse gave them a hard look? I don't remember that from any episode, do you? ( I'm on season 5 and watching " The Return of The Mean Green Machine " as I type this)

random thought... does anybody know if any of the episodes aired on any ot the cast members birthdays? or possibly they "worked" on their birthday.

I know I've posted something like this before, but this is more detailed. I have several "errors" situations etc. firstly, we know that the 1st episode aired in 1979. in it Waylon says last year (1978) the boys got caught on a run. in happy birthday general lee (aired 1984) we learn 8 years prior (1976) is when they got the general, bo was "just getting out of hs", Luke got out or marines, (not sure of how long someone could/had to stay in service back then) but they were even on probation then. Wanted to know if anyone knew of this event taking place fromm North Carolina to Covington Georgia (filming location of the 1st 5 episodes of the Dukes). Even though i live in the UK, i cannot always buy dvds that are uncompatible with Region 2 DVD players but a funny thing happened when i put the dvd into my tv/dvd combi - IT PLAYED which is really weird because Region 1 dvds don't work with Region 2 players. It may have been the last season but it sure was good. My Fave Episode(s) were: Happy Birthday General Lee Cool Hands, Bo and Luke Go West, Young Dukes (Bo/Joe looked kinda cute with that Moustache) Sittin Dukes When You Wish Upon A Hogg (What a cute sight to see Bo and Luke sleeping) Enos and Daisy's Wedding (That wedding dress was so not nice though)

There have been various on PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, handhelds and such, but if you've played any which would you recommend? We'll probably never see a new Dukes game or the series released on Blu-ray because folks nowadays get all offended over the flag that's on top of the General Lee. And if he doesn't have it, he ain't General Lee!

Hey Hoss, since you are so good at posting screenshots (or screengrabs or whatever they're called) would you consider a funny caption contest? Find something that could potentially be funny and post it and then we (and you too) can respond with a funny caption. Do it once a week or once a month or randomly whenever you want. If you like the idea start a seperate thread from this one. Since you'll be doing all the work your name should be on the headline. Should it be limited to 2 responses per person? It has been years since I've seen the show and would like to get the dvds, but I'm worried because Dukes Of Hazzard is on the list of dvds affected by Warner Bros. disc rot. Does anyone know if this is true ? Which complete series set should I try for ?

Well, I don't know if it was the show or the movie, but the guy who won a gold metal for America in the speed skating department was talked too after he won and he said he watched Dukes of Hazzard right before the race.
