I'm feeling better now. It definitely feels good to unplug occasionally in these crazy times. Our new puppy is doing great. After about 24 hours she felt right at home. We're even making progress on potty training. It's been 20 years since we've done that. Spring is definitely here.

That's a good thing to do once in a while. It also gives your eyes a break too, the blue light screens emanate are not good for the eyes long term. While walking one of the trails at a nearby park we came across a pair of Eastern Hog-nosed Snakes. The female was about 3 foot long and about two inches in diameter and was a dark gray almost black pattern. The male about 1 3/4 foot long, yellow tan with black splotches pattern. The female was very irritated that we stopped to check them out lol. I used the Seek app to identify them as we've only ever seen garter snakes at this park.

It looked like an exciting race from the short highlight video I seen on youtube. Unfortunately F1 has lousy tv coverage here in the states with ESPN. Local ABC channel had infomercials on yesterday so they could have easily re-aired the race on a channel everyone can get. On a related note Romain Grosjean finished 10th in his Indycar debut at Barber. He was in the top 5 for quite a while. Jimmy Johnson didn't fare as well he finished 19th. Alex Bowman stole a win at Richmond yesterday taking the lead after a late race restart and holding off Denny Hamlin. Denny Hamlin and Martin Tr

Well, we had a wet start to the race in Italy today, and it produced some great driving and a few crashes (admittedly not many by NASCAR standards!). Hamilton made a rare mistake, but made an impressive recovery to finish second and with the fastest lap. While I've got the thread diverted to F1, it was announced earlier today that the Austin Grand Prix will be joined by a new race in Miami in 2022 to give the US two grands prix next year. The 3.36 mile circuit will be around the stadium of the Miami Dolphins - more info here.

  6. Dukes of Hazzard Fun Fact: Actor Jack Palance(Curly) from the movies City Slickers and City Slickers II played the voice of Black Jack Perril in The Dukes of Hazzard Racing For Home game the PlayStation and PC Windows versions.

  7. Not really a blooper, but an oddity. When Bo and Luke borrow Cooter's pickup near the end of 'People's Choice', Cooter says, "Do me a favor. Put a couple of dollars' worth of gas in there." Coooter was just leaving his garage where the town's gas pumps are located, so if it was low on gas, why didn't he put some in the tank?

  8. I'm just wondering where you found this information, because IMDb.com says that Black Jack Perrill was voiced by Jeffrey Buckner Ford (as Jeffrey Ford). I can see a resemblance between the character of Black Jack Perrill and Jack Palance, but can't find any other connection between the two. As an aside, was it just a coincidence that the game had Black Jack Perrill and 'The Meeting' in season 2 had Black Jack Bender? Boss used to run 'shine to Chicago for the latter. Funnily enough, Black Jack Bender refers to Boss as Curly, which was the name of Jack Palance's character in 'City Slickers

    RIP Felix Silla

It may not have been the most popular episode of DOH but it always got people talking. The actor who wore the alien suit on Strange Visitor to Hazzard has died. His name was Felix Silla and he was 84. He was best known as Cousin ITT on Addams Family.

Looks like 23XI racing might expand to a second car next year. Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan are looking to build a new shop that can hold a 2 or 3 car team. Dale Earnhardt jr might start a cup team if the finances look right with the next gen car. Jeff Burton's son Harrison will make his cup debut at Talladega with Gaunt bros. Racing in the #96 Toyota.

  19. The Queen of country music turns 89 today. She's in poor health but don't believe those internet stories that say she's gone. Loretta is.....and always will be.... my favorite female singer. Her voice is as unique as a voice can get...just like her friend Patsy Cline. When you heard their voices you didn't have to stop and ask who it was. We love you Miss Loretta.

I must've had a busy week, Roger, because you were almost back before I realized you'd gone. As Dan Hicks once said, "How can I miss you when you won't go away?" Of course, in reality, I agree with Hobie's comment.

  21. She wasn't like all these supposed " Country" singers today ( e.g. Shania Twain, et. al.) she was the REAL deal! Nothing fake about HER!

It's mighty nice of you. But I'm on duty right now, honey." Daisy Duke:"This ain't an invite. There are two dudes here trying to rob Boss Hogg's safe!" Enos:"They are? Oh... Well, I'll be right there!"

It's really unfortunate for small businesses that so many millennials are too lazy to shop local and instead just get it from Amazon because "it's easier". Wouldn't surprise me within the next 20 years the only stores left will be Amazon, Walmart, Krogers and one of the big 3 of the home improvement stores.

Tempers flared and by the end of the Martinsville race some of the cars looked like they survived a demolition derby. Martin Truex jr won the race after passing his teammate Denny Hamlin and became the first repeat winner of the season. Ryan Blaney had the dominant car of the day but a bad pit stop where the front tire changer forgot to pull the air hose from in front of his car caused him to take the hose and wrench with him when he drove out of his pitbox which resulted in a penalty. He did manage to make it back to 11th place. Top 10 1. Martin Truex jr 2. Chase Elliott 3

  29. With nothing good on TV last night, I decided to watch 'Blazing Saddles' again. I'd forgotten that Burton Gilliam had one of the lead parts and featured in a DVD extra documentary. Here he is in the movie. It's one of the screengrabs I posted in the Hazzard Square thread, because they used the Warner Brothers Western set which was next to Midwest Street at the time - see all the pictures here.

  30. After Rosco deputizes Bo and Luke in 'Deputy Dukes' and promises that they'd be the only three to know... Rosco: "I gave you my word, didn't I?" Balladeer: "Now, about Rosco's word. He has to have somebody else call his dogs...because they don't even believe him anymore."

  31. I caught a blooper/mistake in Season 7 Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard. When Rosco makes the jump into the grain silo, the light bar/siren flies off his car. But when we cut to him sitting in the car in the silo, when he says "Alright Bo & Luke Duke! You've really done it this time!" The light bar/siren is magically back on the car as it slides down into his view on the windshield.

  32. In Season 2 Ghost of General Lee, I noticed Boss Hogg's safe in the Boars Nest office disappears and reappears during the scene when Phil and Ernie steal it while Daisy is tied up. It's there, then gone. After it shows them loading it into their stolen pickup truck, it is back again. Then when Luke busts in when him and Bo arrive, after Phil and Ernie leave, and asks her "You alright?" And she says "I am now." The safe is back again.

Gordon will turn 42 years YOUNG and guess what...this is Gordon's 42nd time of racing at Pocono. Hopefully it ends up as a win. My opinion...of course. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  37. I actually missed about 100 laps. Thanks for updating me. I see Ricky made up a few places and got a lap back, but still finished a lap down. Sorry, I have no idea what this means. Is it an interactive course in witchcraft, or do you mean "misspell"?

  38. Sorry Hoss but at least on my computer your picture didn't come through...but do have to say I love Jeff Gordon's car that he will be racing tomorrow! I agree . . . it does make it hard to find them sometimes when their cars are different, but it is nice to see different paint schemes every once in awhile. And yeah, the sponsors would NOT be happy if they would stick with only one paint scheme. And at a time like this when sponsors are dropping left and right and are getting more hard to find, I think it would be wise if they would do all things possible to keep them HAPPY. As for the time...

  39. Worst fantasy NASCAR player? I think you are doing pretty good especially for your first year...keep positive. Plus I can't punish you when I am not doing much better. To many Chicago Blackhawk palyers on my team? Never heard of such a thing!

  40. Well, OK, so perhaps the salesman was an actor and perhaps the driver wasn't Jeff Gordon. I still like it and still think it was funny. Logically speaking, if it was a true prank, they'd risk getting sued or what not if the "salesman" had an heart attack or something went wrong or what not. And they tend to put a stunt driver during any stunt... All the same, I did like the video. Sorry Hoss you ain't gonna rain on my parade - especially when Jeff Gordon is in it even if it is only outside of the car.

  41. Hey...owe! What was that for? I was just speakin' the truth...first televised race and Cale goes and steals the show away from Richard Petty who went on to win the race. While he won the race, Cale was fighting the Allison brothers which grabbed more attention than the King winning the race. Poor Richard... Not fault you chose to like a trouble maker. Thows the nerf football back at you to hit you in the shoulder.

  44. I will try not to take any offense to you speaking negatively about my second favorite driver. You're just lucky you are picking on my all time favorite driver...then I would definately take offense to it. Personally don't understand why or how so many people don't like Jimmie Johnson...but then again he is my second all time favorite NASCAR driver, so my opinion on the matter is a tad biased.
    1 point
  45. Well the Daytona race has gotten over. And well...it was a typical Daytona race. Though I think the big story is that Jimmie Johnson is the first driver since 1982 to win both February's Daytona's race AND the July's Daytona race. First half of the race was pretty uneventful. Carl Edwards ran over his tire changer's foot...the tire changer was taking the tape off of Edwards' grill and when the guy who holds the car up for the tire change, dropped the car, Edwards went. ( That is the driver's sign that it is time to go when they drop the car) So he dropped the car and Edwards went to run over
