Hello all, My real name is Carl. I'm a Canadian childhood fan at heart. I've always loved the Dukes of Hazzard, always wanted to meet the cast (met some), always wanted a General Lee (one day), and always wanted to visit as many locations as possible. So I've started building a map using Google's MyMaps. I was wondering if anyone would like to partake in this and hopefully get an entire map for fans to utilize. Let me know. Looking forward to hearing from ya all!

I had plans to watch both Talladega races this weekend but watched about 5 minutes of each of them . Saturday I was busy mowing lawns till about 6 and when I got out of the shower caught the last gwc start and end of the Xfinity race. Sunday celebrated a friend's birthday so just caught a few laps here and there. NASCAR related news....I stopped at a garage sale over the weekend and scored some NASCAR cars, Bill Elliott's 94 McDonald's Mac Tonight, Kyle Petty Coors 42 and a Richard Petty car and hauler collector's set. Lady gave me a great deal on the Bill Elliott car and Kyle Petty car but I paid almost full price for the Richard Petty set.

I checked in once in awhile to see the places but didn't see a lot of it. Feeling pretty decent today so I worked outside most of the day....at a slow pace. Thanks Garrett.

In F1, it was the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend. I'll start writing reports again when someone other than Max Verstappen wins a race! The next one is in Miami in two weeks' time.

Feeling like the odd guy out among everyone, Garrett silently eyes everyone before taking in his surroundings and wondering why he was even here to begin with. They didn't need him any more than he needed them. Looking for an escape route, he breaks the silence. "Roy and I will go. We should have done that any way, but wanted to touch base. Garrett feels everyone stop and stare at him and he quickly nudges Roy. "Yeah. No need to put the pretty lady in danger," Roy shrugs as Garrett turns and heads back to the truck before anyone can object. As he opens the door, he hears, Roy add, "we will do it and report back." Garrett quietly closes the door and lights a cigarette as he waits impatiently for Roy to join him. As Roy gets in, Garrett quickly smashes out his cigarette while rolling his eyes and putting the cigarette in his pocket. "Bout time. Let's go," he motions Roy forward and Roy silently does as he is told. "Are you crazy? Rosco and Boss already want to send you back to Atlanta to wear the same color as your brother's car!" Roy exasperates before throwing his hands up. "Never mind. Don't answer that. You are crazy. But why you taking me down with you?" Garrett shrugs. "Guess I didn't think to ask." He goes silent. "You can drop me off at the road and I can do it myself if you don't want to do it." Roy shakes his head. "Not a chance. But orange is not my color!" he finally states as he retraces his ride back to the road where they had seen Rosco drive down. Parking it, he looks at Garrett, "What's the plan, hotshot?" Garrett shakes his head as he just recalled Luke's idea of recording it with Cooter's device. "Well. I don't know. I just wanted out of there. What you got to record them with?" "See...this is why Luke comes up with the plans. Both you and Bo just jump without thinking!" Roy snaps and Garrett eyes him harshly at him comparing him to Bo. "Relax, bro," Roy states as he sees how angry Garrett was and grabs something out from under his seat. "I got a tape recorder we can record them with." "A tape recorder?" Garrett questions. Roy sheepishly grins. "Yeah my brother had this genius idea that we could record messages to one another and mail our recordings to each other in greeting. I never used it or the blank tape he got for me as I thought it was a dumb idea," Roy shrugs, "but it would help y'all now if Hogg would say something we could record it as evidence." Garrett nods and gives a brief smile. "Great save, Roy. I'll let you control that. We can sneak down the hill here and walk alongside the cave as to not get to the entry and hopefully not be seen or heard. You ready?" "Let's go," Roy smiles crazily and they both silently step out and quietly shutting their doors to step down through the wooded area that leads to the top of the caves.

I'm sure it was because the Dukes simply had a lot of land....but I like these 18 reasons better so I'm going to agree with the creative person who wrote them. Send the author compliments from HazzardNet and invite them to join.

I say that, but one year NASCAR made changes to the restrictor plates and it was a pretty boring race. Tony Stewart even was pretending to sleep through it. Hopefully there is a happy medium. LOL.

Sadly, probably will be. Which is why I don't like the restrictor plate racing. I'd rather watch racing the wrecks.

Now the interior. The Classic's side panels seemed best, except I liked some of the details on the Revel Cabriolet better. Solution: graft the details onto the better panels. The Classic's seat bottoms are terrific, but the Revell Cabriolet's seat backs are the closest to the real thing out of the 3 kit choices. Again, graft them together.

LOL . . . well this better not be one of those times. You now got my hopes higher than the sky! Though we are racing at Talladega this weekend. He'll have to avoid "the big one" in order to win. But you said, he's going to win the rest of the year. By golly...he has to win the rest of the year. LOL.

Just a warning: Occasionally I have predictions that don't come true. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Two weeks now and lungs still congested. I've never had something like this. Just finished my antibiotics yesterday. In a couple days I might be heading back to Doc Appleby again. The wife finally went to the doctor today. One more cold day tomorrow and summer will be here. I think I've already said that 3 times this spring.

Great to meet you Carl. Welcome to Hazzard County. There's plenty to see and do on the HazzardNet and we look forward to hearing a lot more from you. I've never visited any Dukes locations but if I ever do it would be in Georgia, not California. I'm sure Hoss will help you out with links because he's done a lot of research on the California locations.

I saw this on Facebook. With a photo of the opening scene of Swamp Molly. The Duke family didn't have next-door neighbors. Here's why: 1. Target practice with dynamite arrows 2. Roaring car engines 3. Blaring dixie horns 4. Blaring police sirens 5. Roaming bad-tempered goats 6. Ongoing shenanigans 7. Bad guys showing up 8. Sketchy stuff hidden in the barn 9. CB radios squawking constantly 10. Regular visits by Boss Hogg 11. Frequent stakeouts by sheriff's dept 12. Farm continually in or near foreclosure 13. Loose chickens 14. Flying gravel 15. Cranky ol' man with a shotgun 16. Outhouse gets ripe in the summer 17. Wild boars 18. Constant yells of "yee-haa!"

Thanks for the kind words! Got to splice the chopped door posts from the classic body onto the Super's convertible body. Always better to cut and graft too much, then cut it down to size. Then a bit of grinding and sanding to blend it all in.

Finally started to feel good physically but had a hard emotional hit today. I turned 64 (7 days after Bo turned 64) and it hit me that I will never again get a birthday call from my daughter. I'm sure when Father's Day comes around I'll get knocked down again since she was my only child.

Luke sighed "The way I figure is we gotta get rock solid proof that Boss is pulling a scam on Bill and we gotta get it as soon as possible....before the press gets ahold of it." Bill perked up, now having a glimmer of hope that he might still have a career left if this can be contained. "So, now that Garrett and Roy know what's going on, we gotta get Cooter and Daisy in on it." It was easy to tell on Luke's face that the wheels inside his brain were spinning. He snapped his fingers crisply. "I got it! Remember last week when Cooter took an old odd shaped bowl from Jesse's old still parts. He made a long distance listening device out of it." "What can we do with something like that?" Bo asked. Luke responded "Not us. We can't stick our head out of here but maybe Cooter and Daisy can make a recording from the outside of the cave of Boss admiting he's trying to extort money from a famous NASCAR driver." Jesse was not one bit pleased "Oh no, that would mean putting Daisy in danger." He then looked at Bill and hated the thought that he may have driven in his last race if they don't do anything. "....but I'm sure that's a risk she would want to take." Jesse smiled but it was a nervous smile.

So far, my Quest to provide and fill the hole left by Revell, MPC, AMT, ERTL, R2, and Auto-world has lead me to create General Lee Creations from a Facebook page, to a full blown model making Hobby/Company, I am going to be releasing My own custom Modeled 1969 Dodge charger General Lee Alongside a SLA printed Bo and Luke due in 1/43 scale (The Bo and Luke duke models weren't created by myself, but a very competent user on Cults3D, and I bought the rights to use these figures though the Charger is all my work, 100%) and by Q3 of 2024 I will have 1/25 models ready to roll off the line for any one who may want one along side figures of all your favorite cast members, Rosco, Cooter, Bo, Luke, Boss, Daisy, Jesse, and Flash! I will be happy to take orders from anyone for the currently being Produced 1/43 model kits, $20 per model kit, $10 per pair of Bo and Luke Duke! Also in the current like "Series 1, Rebel Models GLC" Boss Hogg's 1970 Cadillac Cooter's Ford Wrecker with Holmes 500, and western Style bed Rosco Coltrane's Police cruiser(not yet ready for release)
