Hi everyone, this is my first Dukes of Hazzard fanfic. There's so little Enos fanfic out there and this story just called to me. "Beneath a Hazzard Moon" is probably one of the more serious and darker of the Hazzard stories you'll find. I like to take comedies and explore the more serious side of the characters – giving them challenges where they must either sink or swim. I've just started writing fanfic recently, and it seems I'm incapable of writing a story that's shorter than a 300 page novel, but if I keep getting feedback, it will definitely be finished. Okay, everybody who follows fanfic knows that I've never done it before so this might be a stupid question. I can see why people enjoy the different and creative ideas that fanfic offers but I was wondering if there are any that don't create outside characters? I can see why people like to do that but I think it would be nice to have a fanic that only permits characters that have been on the show to appear. The story could go in any direction our imagination would take us, of course, but the characters wouldn't be ficticious at all (since we all know Hazzard County is real). Any thoughts, folks? Has this been done before or is it being done now? I'm gone.

The Story of Us explores the history of Enos and Daisy from age 10 to the beginning of the series. It is mainly from Enos' POV, though many parts are from Daisy's POV, and delves into events from his childhood that shaped not only the people they came to be, but their relationship as well. The Story of Us is also the back-story for the novella, Beneath a Hazzard Moon, but both can be read as stand-alone stories. The Story of Us can be found here.
