What an awesome race both Saturday and Sunday! I just got back from my mini vacation to the speedway and enjoy every minute of it. Even the camping out in a tent in this cold weather! Everyone in the stands was screaming and yelling for Mark Martin to hang on to his lead and he did it. Of course I'm happy also that my boy, Carl Edwards, came in third.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that Jimmie Johnson, in the Lowe's car, has wone every race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in forever. That seems a little funny.

The race at Charlotte was aweful from what I saw on TV, when I wasn't asleep. Tony was whipping butt, then his tires blew, Dale Jr. lost his tire. They better fix that freakin' track before someone gets hurt.

The whole so-called "Chase" absolutely stinks to me. It has created artificial drama for WHAT? Ratings and extra money? ....

Brian France has taken NA$CRAP to a new level. Creating and manipulating basically a whole new series than the old Winston Cup circuit. Long time fans like myself ( I have been following racin' since I was a little kid - basically the modern era ) have taken a backseat to corporate and big city America in the NEW NASCAR.

As far as next years Ford Fusion or Chevy Monte Carlo or Dodge's odd looking racing Charger, the CAR OF TOMMORROW will debut sometime in late 06 or 07. No one knows for sure what the car will do other than reduce aero and be safer for the drivers.

Yes , I still watch NA$CRAP and probably will. It just isn't the same for me .

Years ago Bob & Tom used to play a song Jeff Gordon's gay a lot especially that one year when Clint Bowyer spun on purpose to keep one of his teammates in the Chase for the championship which kept Jeff Gordon from making the cut till Nascar fixed it the next day and added him as the 13th driver in the Chase.

Tony Stewart is on a roll.....#20 on the pole for the Pepsi 400 at Daytona .

WOOOHOOOO........

Now if only he can lead that one lap at Daytona - the final one....

Robby Gordon hada great qualifying run , starts 11th. DEI seems to have lost some of the 'magic" at the plate races, Mikey Waltrip starts 17th , Dake Jr starts 39th. Roush had a so-so run as did Henrck Motorsports...
