RIP Simon MacCorkindale (aka, Gaylord Duke)

Featured Replies

Simon MacCorkindale, known better by Dukes fans as the conman that assumed the identity of cousin Gaylord Duke, as passed away. He was 58.

It was nice of the NY Times to note Mr. MacCorkindale's appearance on the Dukes of Hazzard. Unforutnately they refer to the "Duke brothers" as opposed to the Duke cousins.

That's so sad.

I think that he might be the only person on the Dukes who's name was Roger. As I recall his real name was Roger Blevins....well, not real name but "real" name since Roger was only pretending to be Gaylord.

Does anybody know why he passed on so early in life?

RIP

I rather enjoyed his performance :( not to mention I enjoy British people in general. I remember him from The '76 movie version of Romeo and Juliet, he played Paris.

May you rest in peace and God Bless your family, Simon.
