  1. The SuperBowl commercial that has the TV show clips, which included the Dukes, can be found on YouTube under "AdBlitz" and under NFL/American Family: http://www.youtube.com/adblitz
  2. Mufn, you really hit that score right-on. Wow. What a game, eh? Steelers put up a heckuva fight. They came back from a pretty good deficit and this game went down to the wire. A salute to worthy opponents. Sal-ute! And a toast to the victors. Congrats, Packers! The cheeseheads party tonight! And tomorrow. And the day after that. And probably right up until the first pre-season game and it starts all over again. Y'all are right too, about that NFL commercial. Seeing the Dukes and the General Lee in a Super Bowl commercial is friggin' priceless. YEEHAAA!
  3. That's the spirit. Wow, ya mean the entire HazzardNet staff is actually in agreement on something?! Behold, the power o' CHEESE!! Go Packers.
  4. Great job as always, Hoss. Interesting convertible there! Be kinda fun to haul a goat to the county fair with.
  5. What? You're making my head hurt, Rog. I'd dispute your logic but I can't find any. Meanwhile, MaryAnne has been awfully quiet on this topic. She must still be rooting for the Falcons. Gonna have a long wait on that one....
  6. Yes, the Steeler's "Terrible Towels" are graphic-printed in WI. The towels themselves, sadly, are made in China, but at least there's some US employment in the final product. Sales of the Steeler's fan towels benefit charities in PA. It's a win-win between the states of WI and PA in that respect. Unlike the Super Bowl, which clearly will belong to the Packers.
  7. Too late to change your pick. Besides, I've been doing some checking, and it seems you're not allowed to be a Packers fan. You've picked against 'em from the beginning, and that violates the bandwagon code. No cheese for Roger.
  8. Finally, I'm not standing alone in rooting for the Packers. S' about time. Tho' I'm grateful Roger is rooting for the Steelers, given the track record of his picks. I'm gonna say Packers 27, Steelers 17. Steelers are a solid team, but I expect the Packers defense to keep the Steelers pinned down. Now, on an aside, some trivia for ya! The yellow "Terrible Towels" waved by Steelers fans are printed in what State? (correction from prior post, edited from "manufactured" to "printed" )
  9. The Green Hornet movie was a buddy-flick action comedy and they weren't going for any Oscars here, I'll admit. It looked to be a one-up and I doubt we'll see a sequel. But it was fun. I'm one of these people who like lighter fare when I'm at the movies. If I want dark, heavy stuff, I need look no further than the news. Which is why I look forward to the upcoming THOR movie with mixed optimism. Wanton violence aplenty just in the trailer. For some people the line between "action" and "violence" is blurred anyhow, but the tone in THOR looks darker than I expected.
  10. Just wanna mention that so far it looks like the big e-vent of 2011 is gonna be the Hazzard Homecoming in Sperryville Virginia! See the "Dukes of Hazzard News - Public Appearance of Cast" thread at the top of the Forums, for the latest. We'll also recap all the scheduled appearances and shindigs in our February newsletter, which is already out of control. There's a lot going on!
  11. Yes, and tell ya the truth, I was figuring on them releasing a bigger write-up on it. The one thing I take note of, is that it's called a Hazzard Homecoming and not DukesFest. Well, whatevah! Lemme tell it this way: HAZZARD HOMECOMING! Sperryville, Virgina, August 13 & 14 2011! Join Ben "Cooter" Jones and Catherine "Daisy" Bach at the original site of DukesFest in Sperryville Virginia! The rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains will echo with the sounds of Dixie horns once again, as General Lees and Dukes fans from around the country gather together! Activities, entertainment, music, and down-home good times will be featured! This shindig is still in the early stages ya'll, so more details will follow. For now, mark your calendars, dig out your Daisy Duke shorts, tune up your Dixie horns, and plan your life , or at least your summer, around this family friendly event. See ya'll there!
  12. Worth seeing for the 1965 Chrysler Imperial decked out with rockets, flamethrower, and dual machine guns. There's enough mayhem in this flick to please anybody. It's an action-comedy, a thankless category that always gets shortchanged by critics and panned by serious movie goers who are looking for more blood and guts and fewer jokes. But if you see the movie for the sake of seeing a nutty, glass-breaking shoot-em-up with car chases and explosions, you'll like it. Note, there is a 1969 Dodge Charger in this movie, but it just sits in the garage. You see it displayed teasingly in the early scenes, parked in a million dollar garage alongside other classic cars. Still, it seems to be an subliminal appeal to Dukes of Hazzard fans. Worked on me. I'll give this movie Three Yeehaa's outta five.
  13. Welcome to HazzardNet! Make yourself at home!
  14. Heck no, I wouldn't be aware of any of that in the slightest. I'm a Packers fan, ya know. I wouldn't mind seeing a Packers/Jets matchup for the SB, but I'm guessing the Steelers will come out on top of the next playoff round.
  15. Lemme just say this about all that. The real Super Bowl is the Packers-Bears playoff matchup itself. It's the oldest rivalry in football, if not in all of professional sports. Both teams know each other extremely well. Heck, the fans of each side know each other very well. Generations of hate, for hate's sake, has no better example. It'll come down to big defensive plays. Both teams have a dangerous offense. I believe the Packers have the better quarterback and of course I'm rooting for the Packers. It's gonna be a hard-hitting game tho'. On an aside, I'm amazed the Jets won. Wow, what a turnaround for that franchise from just a few years ago.
  16. After The Packers are done with 'em, the Falcons won't be in the playoffs.
  17. I haven't had the opportunity to check it out yet, but I'd like too. I donate something each year to the Red Cross. I know a little about their courageous work in places like Siri Lanka and other dangerous parts of the world. It's amazing that people will volunteer to be in places where the rest of us wouldn't go for any amount of money.
  18. Janesville, WI eh? Ya know, the Boar's Nest in Allen's Grove has a heckuva Friday Night Fish Fry. At least they used to.

  19. Bahahaha! Ummm....breaded mushrooms!
