Pick your price range, pick your project level. Ebay has two offerings on General Lee replicas. The first is from Volo Auto Museum, auction was going for $24k the last I looked at it. Volo General Lee This second General is battle-weary and needs TLC. Much cheaper, but more work... Project General Lee

If you've got a General Lee project, or Dodge Charger restoration project and could use some help, these are the go-to guys. I have seen their cars at shows around the country and their work is excellent. They have good business integrity and really know their stuff. Smith Bros Restorations Visit their website, and see why they're the experts in building a General Lee replica.

Whether you work on your car yourself, or you have a mechanic who's never seen a car this old, this book will come in handy. A buddy of mine used this book, and a wiring diagram he obtained from the same company to assist in his Dodge Charger restoration project. http://www.faxonautoliterature.com/1969-Dodge-Repair-Shop-Manual-Reprint-69-ChargerCoronetDart-P11217.aspx Says here, in the book description: "This is a page-for-page reproduction of the manual that Dodge mechanics used to service your car. You will find detailed service procedures for front suspension, rear axle, body and sheet metal, brakes, clutch, cooling, electrical, engine, exhaust, frame, fuel system, lubrication, shock absorbers, springs, steering, transmission, wheels, tires, propeller shaft, and universal joints." "With the step-by-step illustrated instructions, specifications, and wiring diagrams in this book, you will have the information you need to get your project on the road and keep it there. These manuals are in NEW condition. You can use this information to restore 1969 Dodge Dart, Dart 270, Dart GT, Coronet Deluxe, Coronet 440, Coronet 500, Coronet R/T, Charger." Note, this company provides service manuals and owners manuals for just about any make and model. Here's the homepage: http://www.faxonautoliterature.com/

Every now and then we see a Dukes of Hazzard collectible on ebay that's worth attention, due to it's unique nature and scarcity. This toy Dukes of Hazzard dashboard and toy guitar fit the bill. They're also expensive! As a rule of thumb, big prices are only justified if the item is in mint condition and the popularity/rarity of the item gives it a good chance of increasing in value. While this ain't "Dukes Antique Road Show", and we can't promise what this stuff might be worth in the future, it may be of interest to the serious Dukes of Hazzard collector: Toy dashboard Toy guitar Yeehaw!

Looking forward to seeing your next plush-mobile! Do you sell the patterns for your plush designs, or give them away, or....?
-
Just wanted to add a Howdy and Welcome! Nice to see you on Hazzardnet, Susan! Somebody is reading the fanfics?
-
Roger, these guys put on a heckuva show, so I gave them a HazzardNet home page write up. Though I couldn't get the promo video to embed for some dang reason, probably because it's 2 am and I'm mostly asleep. Which is nothing new around here.

Hoss, I'd love to see your graphics turned into 3D models. They'd be awesome. Alas, but for the software! I'm still thinking of taking some of your graphics and trying it, though. Meantime, let us know how your efforts turn out with the model designed by J. Carlos. Can't wait to see it!

Bahaha!! What kind of drugs have you been taking? And did you bring enough to share? Back to the General Lee paper model, I thought it'd be a fun party game kinda thing, too. Print 'em out, cut out the pieces, and give everybody a set. Then, give everybody a 5 minute time limit to put theirs together. I bet you'd have some crazy results. Looking at this thing, I'd probably need three days to figure it out. The designer is from Brazil, and when I traced the thing back to the source, there wasn't a goodset of written instructions to pass along. Not in English, anyhow.

Here's a General Lee paper model that looks fun to put together. The design is in a PDF file. I'm not sure what thickness of card stock paper would be best for it, so if somebody tries this and nails it down, please let us know. If you have patience and a sharp scissors, try some arts n' crafts, Dukes of Hazzard style! The download link appears below the photo: http://www.4shared.com/document/EXlDjJ1X/General_Lee_II_B.html

Pretty much, MaryAnne and I ban each other. Saves time when we fight. I can disagree with somebody intensely about a given issue, and not be angry with them personally. Mufn and I wouldn't be in the same airspace after 12 years if we couldn't separate the issue from the person. The real-life arguments that have happened between Mufn, MaryAnne and I over the course of our history together, have been terrible to behold. Fortunately they are rare. But we're human and it happens. Families get into disagreements sometimes. It's a fact of life. It doesn't mean we're not a family anymore. Nobody is unwelcome here over anything that's been said, so don't worry. In that spirit, I updated the homepage with this post. We are all Dukes of Hazzard fans, and we remain a community and family. Take a look at the joy these fans felt in 1981. It's still with us, today...even if some of the people are not. http://www.hazzardnet.com/

Congrats y'all!

What do you mean, "was?" You've been HazzardNet's dirtiest secret for years, it just ain't much of a secret anymore. But don't worry, I'll keep paying my, uh...."union dues." Ma'am.

I'm not right or wrong, it's just an opinion.

Go ahead. There's still time to get new shirts! The name Mafia is about intimidation, money, power, greed, corruption. I saw the "fan" banner on Flickr. Hazzard County Mafia. Black, with orange horror-font lettering. Nice. You couldn't associate yourselves with something more welcoming for kids, like the Rocky Horror Picture Show? *sarcasm* Do a google search on Mafia, see what you get. Do a google image search on Mafia. Not exactly a good match for a "Dukes" crowd. I'm sure it makes for a macho image, but jeeze, when I think of the little kids who are at these things, this is NOT what I'd want them to think the Dukes of Hazzard is about. Mafia could be all the in-thing to call a group or a club, and if this was a gathering of Soprano fans I'd say, go for it. But it ain't. It sounds like a select group of fans who've taken pains to differentiate, and perhaps alienate, themselves from the rest. In the past, volunteers at Dukesfest were simply "staff." I wore a lanyard with a badge. I helped lost kids find their parents, I helped security remove troublemakers, I explained rules for autographs, I assisted members of the cast. No special shirt. No special clique. I was there before the grounds opened; I was there after it closed. At the end of the day, I was just a fan, donating my time, covering my own travel expenses, to help other fans have the best possible experience at the event. It wasn't about me. It was about them. That's what being a volunteer is about. And I'm sure your group knows that and shares the spirit or you wouldn't be helping out (unpaid) at a BBQ. I only wish your name better represented the spirit of the Dukes of Hazzard and was something that evoked a more positive image. I salute your individual efforts but I can't support your name.
-
It's because they've already printed up the t-shirts. What Mufn or I think of the name, doesn't really matter, as we're not a part of the volunteers this year - er, Mafia - so we don't have to wear the shirts. I've been part of 'em previously for a long time, and I'll tell ya. The opinions of the locals in Sperryville, the conduct of any Dukes fan in public wearing such a shirt, and the amusement, or lack of it, by local law enforcement, are thoughts that shoulda been considered. And is "Hazzard County Mafia" what Ben wants in the local newspaper, when a reporter snaps a photo at the event? Is this really something he wants synonymous with "Cooter's Place?" Seriously? Mufn and I have both been volunteers at DukesFest and other cast appearances and car shows, aside from merrily squandering 12 years of our lives on a Dukes o' Hazzard website. I'd say we're decent fans. Not more fan than thou, but devoted or demented enough to spend a lot of time and money on it. And if we have a strong reaction to the name Hazzard County Mafia, it's because we care about the Dukes of Hazzard, the fandom, and how the heck it's represented. But there's nothing personal in this against any of the volunteers. We know how much work goes into these events and we sal-ute the participants.

I can live with that. And in that spirit, let me offer, with apologies to Waylon Jennings, my gangsta/mafia rendition of "The Good Ol' Boyz". Just the good home boyz Never meanin’ no harm, yo’ Beats all – you didn’t see nothin’! – never saw, been in trouble with the law, since the day they was born! Pimpin’ the girlz – Countin’ the bills – Someday the mafia might get ‘em but the law never will! Makin’ their gangsta way – The only way they know how! That’s just a little bit more than rival gangs will allow! I’m a good ol’ boy So here’s an offer you can’t refuse – Join the mafia today, or you’ll be swimmin’ someday, in them heavy cement shoes!

True. What keeps me here?

And some of them, you recruited as administrative staff. Though I shouldn't bring up MaryAnne's past like that.

I think anybody who's devoted 12 years to a website isn't likely to be a hostile or violent person. You are, howevah, certifiably nuts to give 12 years of your life to a Dukes of Hazzard website. But I mean "nuts" in a good way.
