It's a little early, but...

You can't write a letter to Nasty the Reindeer, you're one of the good kids. Nasty is for the naughty, not the nice! -
Challenge for anyone who hasn't written a solo story

Strange Visitor to HazzardNet.....gah! Then again, we've had our share of those. Strange moderators, too. -
Chet, I'd be amazed if we could get through three pages before the whole thing broke down into chaos. We don't have the best track record. Reminds me of the time that MaryAnne shut down the forums for 72 hours because we couldn't play nice. You started it, though. I'm sure some equitable compromise can be reached.

(I'm mulling this one over....been a looonnnng time and my writing is pretty lame these days. Trying to see what comes to mind here.)

What I need for Christmas is a translator so I know what yer talkin' about, Daney. Meantime, I've got a feeling that Nasty the Reindeer is paying attention to the wish list. Maybe we should do a "Letters to Nasty" thang when we get closer to the holidays, so the bad kids have somewhere to send their loot list. -
How about the first time you saw Bo and Luke fighting each other in an episode, like seriously mad? I always loved the Carnival of Thrills scene where Bo throws the first punch and it's on. They threw each other around pretty good, it was realistic. I had a friend who hated that scene. She couldn't stand to see them fighting. The scene where Bo leaves home made it worse. (note, the DVD shows a lot more to this scene than what's made it on cable over the years.) Thoughts?

Did you have to go there? Didja? I thought we'd get though a thread without somebody bringing up "Strange Visitor to Hazzard" or "Robot P. Coltrane." -
The irony is, that the Dukes movie would have made four times the money than it did... had they done a better job in honoring the original. S' funny, the 2005 movie just about ruined the career of anybody associated with it. Johnny Knoxville is still out there having anvils dropped on his head, but I haven't heard much out of anybody else.

The general lee of greece
Brian Coltrane replied to general_lee_of_greece's topic in The General Lee
The General Lee and KITT look perfectly natural together in those photos. Must be fun when y'all get together. -
That's exactly what's wrong with us.

It's an expression. Like this.

I'm not sure either one of us should be on the forums tonight. Why do we only moderate when it's the middle of the dixie-horn-blaring night and nobody is here?

Yeah, when that patrol car went underwater, I got a sinking feeling myself.

If CMT will help sponsor it, there's a chance. Though knowing the amout of work and expense it takes to set the gig up and run it, I'm not sure Ben is looking to take it on again. I know John reportedly lost his shirt on the last one. ( he lost his shirt in the episodes a lot too, but this was different.) -
No, because the first time I saw the episode, I'd already had the expectation of a happy ending. But it was cool seeing Enos and Rosco showing emotion like that. I always loved it when the Dukes of Hazzard got a little edgy. Like when Bo and Luke had fights, or characters (like Daisy) got upset and made hard decisions, like moving away from home. Those touches of drama were well-played when they were there. Back to your question. While I didn't cry, I'm pretty sure that Meadowmufn and MaryAnne cried buckets.

No, there was not. We had never seen or heard of this car before until the reunion movie. Though I have to speak to some prior conversation on this thread, comparing the "00" to the Mustang from the ep, "Luke's Love Story." Because LLS was the only ep ( that I can remember) that another car beat the General. So is the "00" a reincarnation of sorts, if we take away the technical difference between the Mustangs in question? I'm going to put a new page into Hazzard lore and say yes. I can only surmise that "00" was more of a family-friendly car name and therefore we have its use in the reunion. Also, this way Warner Bros didn't have to give any credit to the writers of the Lukes Love Story script for re-using a car name. Very plausible that the car changed owners and with that change got a new name and a new paint job. Just my theory.

The general lee of greece

Great photos and vid. I love the photo with two Generals and the hills in the background. Greece looks a lot like Hazzard County, right there! Dukes of Hazzard = world peace. -
Is there a sequel called Large? bahahaha!! Ok, it's late, I shouldn't be posting...

I dunno if you should get off the hook that easy. B'sides, a stick-figure drawing would be pretty damn funny. Make sure to get my good side. Ain't my decision, tho', because...I haven't held up to my own terms. At all. I've done diddily-squat. Butkis. Nada. I have significant excuses too, but bottom line is, either we both get off the hook, or neither of us do. Or MaryAnne determines a compromise deal. It does sound like Texas Daisy really wants to take your place, too.

I just want to put out there...

Hahahaha....yeah, you first. -
Ok, I'll give this a go. 1. Writing one fanfic story ended up changing my life. 2. I have a dixie horn in one of my cars. 3. I don't have any tattoos and for some reason this surprises people. 4. I hate peas! Get them off my plate. 5. I play the drums. 6. Everybody knows I have a 67 Impala but I couldn't resist mentioning it again. 7. My truth is stranger than some of my fiction. 8. Which is saying something. 9. I have a serious day job but it's not as cool as Mufn's. 10. I have awesome friends.

I'd like you to keep up the good work too! You're a very emotive writer. I really think the medical industry's gain was writing's loss. I agree with what everybody's been saying here. Nobody on HazzardNet claims to be writing for Masterpiece Theater, but everybody who writes, cares about their work. Once in a great while there's an issue, though when you look at the par for the course, things have gone well. I've watched many people improve their writing and communication skills through fanfic and through AIM role plays, and HNet forums RR's. It's fantastic. We need to have another fanfic challenge, I'm thinkin'. -
