  1. I'm not sure either one of us should be on the forums tonight. Why do we only moderate when it's the middle of the dixie-horn-blaring night and nobody is here?
  2. Yeah, when that patrol car went underwater, I got a sinking feeling myself.
  3. If CMT will help sponsor it, there's a chance. Though knowing the amout of work and expense it takes to set the gig up and run it, I'm not sure Ben is looking to take it on again. I know John reportedly lost his shirt on the last one. ( he lost his shirt in the episodes a lot too, but this was different.)
  4. No, because the first time I saw the episode, I'd already had the expectation of a happy ending. But it was cool seeing Enos and Rosco showing emotion like that. I always loved it when the Dukes of Hazzard got a little edgy. Like when Bo and Luke had fights, or characters (like Daisy) got upset and made hard decisions, like moving away from home. Those touches of drama were well-played when they were there. Back to your question. While I didn't cry, I'm pretty sure that Meadowmufn and MaryAnne cried buckets.
  5. No, there was not. We had never seen or heard of this car before until the reunion movie. Though I have to speak to some prior conversation on this thread, comparing the "00" to the Mustang from the ep, "Luke's Love Story." Because LLS was the only ep ( that I can remember) that another car beat the General. So is the "00" a reincarnation of sorts, if we take away the technical difference between the Mustangs in question? I'm going to put a new page into Hazzard lore and say yes. I can only surmise that "00" was more of a family-friendly car name and therefore we have its use in the reunion. Also, this way Warner Bros didn't have to give any credit to the writers of the Lukes Love Story script for re-using a car name. Very plausible that the car changed owners and with that change got a new name and a new paint job. Just my theory.
  6. Great photos and vid. I love the photo with two Generals and the hills in the background. Greece looks a lot like Hazzard County, right there! Dukes of Hazzard = world peace.
  7. Is there a sequel called Large? bahahaha!! Ok, it's late, I shouldn't be posting...
  8. I dunno if you should get off the hook that easy. B'sides, a stick-figure drawing would be pretty damn funny. Make sure to get my good side. Ain't my decision, tho', because...I haven't held up to my own terms. At all. I've done diddily-squat. Butkis. Nada. I have significant excuses too, but bottom line is, either we both get off the hook, or neither of us do. Or MaryAnne determines a compromise deal. It does sound like Texas Daisy really wants to take your place, too.
  9. Hahahaha....yeah, you first.
  10. Ok, I'll give this a go. 1. Writing one fanfic story ended up changing my life. 2. I have a dixie horn in one of my cars. 3. I don't have any tattoos and for some reason this surprises people. 4. I hate peas! Get them off my plate. 5. I play the drums. 6. Everybody knows I have a 67 Impala but I couldn't resist mentioning it again. 7. My truth is stranger than some of my fiction. 8. Which is saying something. 9. I have a serious day job but it's not as cool as Mufn's. 10. I have awesome friends.
  11. I'd like you to keep up the good work too! You're a very emotive writer. I really think the medical industry's gain was writing's loss. I agree with what everybody's been saying here. Nobody on HazzardNet claims to be writing for Masterpiece Theater, but everybody who writes, cares about their work. Once in a great while there's an issue, though when you look at the par for the course, things have gone well. I've watched many people improve their writing and communication skills through fanfic and through AIM role plays, and HNet forums RR's. It's fantastic. We need to have another fanfic challenge, I'm thinkin'.
  12. After school detentions
  13. Aw heck, we're just gettin' started. Thank ya for the kind words and for your great contributions to HazzardNet.
  14. On an aside for anyone following this thread who might give a rip about the movie I mentioned a few posts back. I recently bought the movie and found out Jerry Rushing was in it. Holy Dukes tie-in! "Follow That Car" aka "The Georgia Peaches" ain't Masterpiece Theater, but if you like Trans-Am's, senseless car chases, shallow plots, brawling, goofy cops, explosions, and complete overkill in an ending, you'll enjoy this movie. Good luck finding it though, I might have bought the last copy on Earth. Which could be a problem 'cause I gotta get MaryAnne a copy of this thang.
  15. You are correct. Though it's a 2010 Charger and not the vintage we'd really like to see. I had to go watch the whole ep on cwtv.com just to see the car, once you posted that. Naturally I'm disappointed that the Impala is hiding under a tarp. I hope the whole season isn't going to be like that. I'm sure it's easier to use a new car so that they can have an entire fleet of them around. Doesn't have the same personality though. I'm sure at some point we'll see an Impala vs. Charger chase. Retro vs. new. Vintage vs. high tech. So long as they don't have the Impala go careening off a cliff ala Dukes of Hazzard, I'll be fine with it. Maybe they were just trying to get my attention? Bastages. More Impala!!
  16. Convince, hell. The '98 is paid for, what's to debate? The more the merrier.
  17. I'm gonna halfta check out Hobby Lobby. I haven't bought any Dukes stuff in a long time, so there's pent-up demand here. And when I catch up on stuff around here, I'll have links to the Dukes books out there ( you might be surprised how many there are ) and to toys that can be bought online. Mufn is the actual tech person who can make the 2010 Dukes o' Hazzard Christmas Loot Book all nice and organized. Meantime though, I'll keep gathering up info. I think it's gonna be a great Christmas for Dukes fans this year.
  18. YES! Like that one. Sweet. Where's my checkbook....
  19. Roger, you are correct. Hoss, you are the authority on car details. I never got that the screaming chicken faced the other way on the turbos. Now I can impress my Pontiac friends with my newfound incredible knowledge. It's a damn shame they quit making cars like this, ya know? With the old school look to the new Camaro and Mustang, I would have loved to see the renewal of the Trans Am.
  20. Awright, lessee... it's Mr. Jones, I presume. Looks like he applied here for a moderator position back in 2001. Wonder who got his job....
  21. I just looked at the you tube clip, and this car's kinda similar! I apologize for the vid quality but it gets a little better as the vid warms up. This was a Dukes-alike pilot, starring Dirk Benedict and Tanya Tucker. Originally titled "The Georgia Peaches" it was later renamed "Follow That Car." Warning, contains a "hot damn" and blatant Dukes like stunts.
  22. What ratings? What are you talkin' about? How'd this come up again? Where were we? Did I miss something? What's today... holy **** it's September! Send me a brief and I'll look into it, eh?
  23. Beautiful work. S' funny you happen to post that. I found an obscure TV pilot that involved a car kinda like this ( not sure it was the exact same color) and it was basically a Dukes of Hazzard ripoff. Thankfully, the series never got the green light, but it's interesting that this car has been around. Roger, if you're paying any attention, do you know what TV movie I'm talkin' about, circa 1980? Ah, I should put this on the trivia board or something...
