Good one. I'm gonna take things classic country, with a forgotten tune by the legendary Statler Brothers. I know MaryAnne will like this one...

Awesome job, Hoss! More great contributions from you here. Thank you! MaryAnne, have you updated the FAQ's with all this yet?

Just to keep the bases covered... we are planning an informal writer's meeting this Saturday night. I'm too lazy to re-type the details so please look at the chat post I did here. Also hoping that Roger is going to continue the monthly open chats when he returns from his computer break. Next one should be Oct 1st if I'm understanding the new tradition correctly.

The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread
Brian Coltrane replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia
You're right again! This is a tough crowd to stump, I'll tell ya. Awright, let's try this one! And to make it a little more challenging, I'm not giving a multiple choice selection to go with it. How many episodes included appearances by Boss's shady nephew, Hughie Hogg?- 3,817 replies

If you have a General Lee, or a Hazzard County patrol car, or Daisy's Jeep, or Cooter's tow truck or Uncle Jesse's pickup, Cooter wants YOU. And your Hazzard car, for the 3rd annual Hazzard Run, October 1st and 2nd. The deal is this: You pay $30 to participate, and you drive your car from Cooter's Place in Nashville TN to Cooter's Place in Gatlinburg TN, in a convoy. In return you get public adoration from spectators, a dash plaque, a t-shirt, and some amusements at Cooter's Place. Rick Hurst and Ben Jones will be attending. Great opportunity to hang out with other car owners and blow your own Dixie horn. Here's a spectator view supplied by one of our members last year: If you don't have a Hazzard car (don't feel bad, most people don't) you can still watch the cars parade into Gatlinburg and enjoy the car show, meet and greet Ben Jones and Rick Hurst, and hobnob around. There's no charge for gawking. For more info, click on one of the ad links we've got about Cooter's atop the Forums page or home page. Or call and give the store clerk somebody to talk to at 615-872-8358.

Ya got some soul & blues goin' on there! I'll throw in some Southern fried rock...

*after a few moments of thoughtful silence, agrees quietly* "I hope to nevah face such a day." *with this said, roams over to the area where Jack had thrown his pistol earlier, and with a nudge of a boot, finds it. Picks it up and hands it over, handle-first. There's no longer a lack of trust, and realizing this, makes a decision* "Jack...if you're thinkin' of makin' a fresh start...Hazzard County is a good place to heal."

As always, you got a great eye for details, Hoss. Nice work! Have you ever tried any of the Hogg product logos? There were "Hoggoco" gasoline pumps at Cooter's in at least one episode. Also, Boss came up with oddball products once in awhile, but I can't remember if I saw sample products in any eps.

(this round robin story began in 2007 and I recently promised to finish it. Sorry for the delay of months at a time between posts.) "No...and neither are you." *looks the officer in the eye* "All this is kinda ironic, when ya think about it. 'Cause now you know how I felt that day in Atlanta when you were about to gun me down. I wasn't evah lookin' to turn the tables, Jack, but I think that's what happened heah. I suppose, in a way, we're even."

Loosely scheduled for 9/24/11 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time. This isn't written in stone, so stay tuned for any changes to date and/or time. This chat is primarily about the fanfiction/round robin sections of HNet and is open to writers, readers, and anybody just curious. Like the town hall meeting, this is a casual, open discussion, so feel free to join us!

We've got a tug-of-war going on between country and 80's pop/rock! All good stuff. I'll tug it back to the 80's with the Romantics.

And I'll bring it back to the 80's, with "Talk Talk" by...Talk Talk. Talk Talk

I was on my way to work, traveling on a major interstate towards Chicago. I had a CD playing in my car and didn't realize anything was wrong unitl there was sudden, massive gridlock on the interstate. I turned on the radio for the traffic report and then got the news about the plane hitting the WTC. My employer at the time was an attorney who did medical collections. I'll never forget his reaction. "Get on the phone and make calls. Do your job." The world, as we knew it, was shaken but his concern was for collecting money. Business as usual. Everybody in the office was upset and kept running out to their cars to listen to the radio, or were calling somebody to get news updates. Nobody could concentrate. I remember that the phones eventually stopped working. "All circuits are busy," said the recording. My own perception of the world changed forever that day. I will always remember the heroism of those who fell in the attempt to rescue others. I will always remember the uncommon courage of the men and women who faced that day at ground zero and on flight 93. I will always remember as well, how the world wept with us, shared our shock and grief. And as much as some things have changed since that day...much has been preserved. To all those who serve our nation in uniform, thank you. To those nations who have stood by our side, thank you.

Saturday Sept 10th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. MaryAnne and I will be discussing HazzardNet stuff and the public is invited. Chime in, or just watch us bicker over petty details. Select the Flash Chat, "Boar's Nest" chat room.

Ok, it's on! MaryAnne and I will have a town-hall type meeting on Saturday Sept 10th, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is a very informal meeting of the minds (or mindless) where we will discuss current HazzardNet projects, items from the suggestion box, and whatever else is on our bucket list. We'll be in the flash chatroom, "Boar's Nest", so anybody interested is welcome to attend. It's your chance to see HazzardNet administration behind the scenes.

Here's a combination of a Dukes of Hazzard bed cover, sheet, and sleeping bag. By the photos these look to be in great shape. You could be the envy of your college dorm with these. Also great as couch covers. Though these are in such good shape you might want to avoid the wear and tear and simply hoard them. At the time of this post the auction was running for about 4 more days. Dukes of Hazzard bed set and sleeping bag
