  1. There's lots of room for him In our two-car garage I'll feed him there and wash him there and give him his massage Cooter: GET THAT DANG HIPPO OUT OF MY GARAGE! Mom says a hippo would eat me up but then Teacher says a hippo is a vegetarian Boss: I don't care if he eats swamp gas! There are not going to be any hippos in this house! <mutters> Lulu's bad enough I wanna hippopatamus for Christmas Only a hippopatamus will dooooo No crocodiles No rinocerouseses I only like Hippopatamuseses And Hippopatamusses like me tooo! Rosco: Hippopatamusesssess...hippopatomaieses....gyeee Flash: Woof Okay, Jam says I'm having way too much fun with this
  2. POP QUIZ! Since you are such fans of the powerful tune, do you know who wrote "Mary Did You Know?" Kind of an unlikely, but then again, it does make sense that this person wrote it. Know who it is?
  3. You're right Uncle Jesse had known the boys all their lives and maybe even delivered them when they were born. What we meant was that Bo and Luke were younger than six when their parents died and came to live with Uncle Jesse and Daisy came to live with them later.
  4. The Repo Men car chase was one of the funniest with the banter between Luke and Cooter. Cooter: Whaddya think ol' Burt Reynolds would do at a time like this? Luke: I dunno but I think he'd be doin it with someone a lot purdier than you. Cooter: If you can't make this thing go any faster, mind if I just jump out an run ahead? But that one didn't involve the General, so I might go for the one with the record breaking jump in it.
  5. Jam: I love it! I love it! Ghee ghee Amanda: What she said. Keep up the good work. Any more interesting details on what happened before with those two?
  6. nice cliffhangers there. assuming she broke the heel of her shoe not the heel of her foot right?
  7. OOOOOhhhhhh maaaaannn! Must...read...more...GAH! This is getting toooooooo interesting!
  8. From Baby for the Dukes Boss shows Rosco and Enos all the cars they wrecked. Enos: See that one on the end? That one's yours Sherriff. Rosco: It's all Enos's fault. Enos: Pardon me Sherriff, but it takes two to tango! Rosco's been apprehended by the snooty city slicker and decides to give the Dukes a warning that they're being followed. Rosco: Oooh, there's that chicken hawk. That's the one that's been killing all them chickens! <BANG> <BANG>
  9. "Jump the Shark" Episode: <n> An episode in a T.V. series that is so bizarre and out of character that it is blatantly obvious to fans that the series is about to end. origin: The episode of Happy Days where the Fonz jumps over a shark tank on waterski's while wearing his leather jacket. DOH examples: Strange Visitor to Hazzard, Robot P. Coltrane. Just thought we'd clear that up. The miniatures were also a clear sign of the series ending. We also agree that the first five episodes were the best.
  10. Repo Men has some of the best Bo and Luke interaction and is one of the best Dukes episodes ever IMHO. Enos: Now where are the papers for this here car? Luke: We told ya Enos, a dog ate 'em. Bo: Yeah, it was a big ol' doberman dog. Other good episodes include One Armed Bandits (the pilot), Carnival of Thrills, and of course, Ghost of the General Lee.
  11. You know you watch too much DOH when... whenever something is bumped into you say it is "scuffed." you yell at people when they "scuff" your dog, your car, yourself, etc... you hang an autographed photo of Cooter in your bathroom even though it doesn't match the decor. you have a miniature General Lee to decorate in front of your T.V. set. you wear white past Labor Day. everything you see that is orange you say "now if it only had an 01 right there..."
  12. We've had a couple of stories with Enos and Daisy both getting drunk. One had them trapped in his patrol car in a blizzard and they had to drink moonshine he had in his trunk (it was confiscated) to keep from freezing to death. In the other one, they go to a family party of Enos's, get drunk, and wind up getting married without knowing it until they wake up the next morning! You can imagine how they would react to such a thing. It was inspired by an episode of MASH where Winchester comes back from RnR in Tokyo and can't remember what he did when a lady calling herself Mrs. Winchester shows up. We also have some stories of Enos getting drunk in his younger and wilder days and doing such crazy antics, topping it off with mooning Sherriff Rosco P. Coltrane. There is still an outstanding warrant to this day (inspired by the film Sweet Home Alabama). Unfortunately, we have been extremely busy and are unable to devote time to quality fan-fics at this time. However, you are all welcome to take any of these ideas and run with them as long as they remain below PG-13.
  13. A very good story. It's nice to know we're not the only ones writing Enos/Daisy stories. It's a good, easy-to-read, style too.
  14. hey JM, I'm an English teacher and take it from me, you're doing a VERY good job with it. In fact, better than some other folks who use this site. No offense to them, but I notice a lot of people throw grammar and spelling out the window when they post stuff online. It's usually okay, but it makes some fanfics very hard to read. Keep it up! Jamanda
  15. SAVE THE TEXAS PRAIRIE CHICKEN! Oops, sorry. Wrong show. (that's from The Monkees) Llama, llama, cheesecake, llama, llama, llama,...duck? Duck, duck, goose...you're it!
  16. I saw this episode last night and have to agree it could of been better written . Overall the episode did have some humor to it. I like Enos reaction when he saw the space ship and came runing into town and cooter remark about the alien going to the dance. I have to admit though that Dukes and sci fi is a far fetched combination.
  17. Looks good to us! You might want to continue this in the fanfic forums, probably fics in progress. But put a little advertisement for it in here!
  18. The Hazzard law, along with the local law of the area, had been scouring the hills looking for them ever since Lucas and Tommy were found zipping down the road on the dirt bike. Lily and TJ were pulled out of the pit and brought, surprisingly, back to the old shack in the woods. Their father was there, calmly sipping coffee with the two scruffy men. Lily: Dad! Enos: There you are. Sit down honey. You too boy. Lily sat next to her father, who was giving a strange look to the other two men. TJ sat down as well and shivered. Enos: I suppose you've met your Uncle Rufus. Lily: Yeah. Enos: And your granddaddy. Lily: Yeah, but I can't really understand him. Enos: <slight laugh> He always talks like that...throws off revenuers. Lily: Can you understand him? Tommy could. Rufus: Course we can. We grew up with 'im. Lily: But why'd you kidnap us? Old man: WeeeelllllWejustwantedtoseeyoukidsisall. Enos: Well you know Pa...You could'a asked. All in all, Enos decided not to press charges and took Lily and TJ home. The next week, old Jebediah Strate and Rufus were able to visit them in Hazzard.
  19. We used to have the TV soundtrack a long time ago, but we have no idea where it went. Think our other sister had it on a cassette tape. We voted for Flash, but Tom and John sing well too. Cathy's good too, and a lot better than Jessica Simpson IMHO.
  20. (And now for the grand finale!) THE FARMER AND THE COWBOYS SHOULD BE FRIENDS Boss and the police officers arrive at the Boar’s Nest. Uncle Jesse arrives with Cooter behind them. Boss: All right Rosco! Arrest Luke Duke! Luke: For what? Rosco: Never mind that now. Enos: Sheriff? I thought we was arresting him for blowing up that still. Luke: I didn’t blow up a still! I’ve been with Amy all afternoon. Amy: Yes he has. Rosco: Than it must’ve been Bo. Bo: <coming in> Must’ve been me doing what? Cindy Lou: <coming in> Bo ain’t done nothin’. Who did blow up my still? Jesse: You mean the one over by Clear creek? Boss: Yeah, that’s the one. Jesse: Well, I think you found your answer. Didn’t you know they redrew the county line yesterday? Boss: What? Oh no! My still! It’s in… Cooter: Was in Chickasaw. Bet you anything ol’ Sheriff Little found it and… Bo: Kabloooie! Boss: Oh no hoooooo. That dang blasted lawman! Jesse: J.D. You remember how that old song went? Boss: Which one? Jesse: You know <sings> Oh the runners and the lawmen should be friends Oh the runners and the lawmen should be friends One is running making shine Boss: <sings> The other shoots them from behind. Jesse: <sings> But that’s no reason why they can’t be friends. Luke: I like that. But I think we should update it. Bo: I agree. Bo and Luke: <sing> Oh the Duke boys and the lawmen should be friends Oh the Duke boys and the lawmen should be friends One of ‘em drives the General Lee The other works for ol’ JD But that’s no reason why they can’t be friends Enos and Cooter: <sing> Hazzard folk should stick together Hazzard folk should all be pals Lawmen dance with the Duke boy’s daughter Duke boys dance with the lawman’s gal! Rosco: But you two ain’t got no daughters. Jesse: No, but my brother was a Duke boy. And his daughter is dancing with your deputy. Rosco: Enos! Jesse: <sings> I’d like to say a word for the Duke boys If they need help to get out of hot water Don’t treat them like a louse, make them welcome in your house Mr. Moffet <pulling away Cindy Lou and sings>: But first make sure you hide your wife and daughter! Everyone: <sings> Hazzard folk should stick together Hazzard folk should all be pals Lawmen dance with the Duke boy’s daughter Duke boy’s dance with the lawman’s gal! Boss: Bo Duke! I don’t care if Mr. Moffet did take your date! No one dances with Lulu but me! Bo: Sorry Boss! Can’t hear ya! Lulu: Ooooh, this is fun! Enos: <sings> I’d like to say a word for the lawman People just don’t treat us like they should I’m not saying that we're better than anybody else Rosco: <sings> But we’ll be danged if we ain’t just as good! Enos: Sheriff! Rosco: Well we are! Everyone: <sings> Hazzard folk should stick together Hazzard folk should all be pals Lawmen dance with the Duke boy’s daughter Duke boy’s dance with the lawman’s gal! OKALAHOMA! Everyone gathers together for one last song. Haaaaaaaazzard County Where the General Lee flies across the sky! And the Sheriff’s car Don’t go that far With Cooter’s tow truck standing by! Haaaaaaazzard County Everynight we sit and watch the show As the sheriff and Boss Are at a loss As where the Duke boys seem to go. 21. (of course we like the Kansas City song This next one is for fans of the episode "Luke's Love Story") ALL OR NOTHING Luke is back at the Boar’s Nest meeting with his old girlfriend, Amy Creevy. Luke: I really wish you’d stick around. Amy: But you understand why I don’t. Luke: I know…I’m just afraid I’ll fail you…again. Amy: Luke Duke, you’re just gonna have to realize something. Luke: What? Amy: <sings> With me, it’s all or nothing Is it all or nothing with you? It can’t be in-between It can’t be now and then No half-and-half with me will do Luke: <sings> So with you, it’s all or nothing Despite the fact that I’m a Duke If I don’t want you to go I cannot act like Bo Amy: <sings> If I can do it now, then so can you Luke: <sings> And supposing I am successful? Amy: <sings> I’ll stick around and be with you. Luke and Amy seem to reach an agreement for the time being and share a drink in the back of the bar.
  22. OL’ JUDD IS DEAD Back in town, Boss is meeting with his lawmen, grieving about how little he’s made in the past month. Boss: Oh my dear. Sometimes I think this town would be better off without me. Rosco: Oh now Boss, you know that ain’t true. I mean…financially…yes… Boss: I knew it! Rosco: But everyone in town loves you too! Imagine how sad they’d be if you were gone. Ain’t that right Enos? Enos: Yes sir, we’d all miss you Mr. Hogg. Boss: They would? Rosco: You know what they’d say? Boss: What? Rosco and Enos: <sing> Old Boss is dead A stone marks his head And Lulu’s come to town dressed in black (Enos: dressed in black) He’s gone to his reward And the sheriff’s awful sore He won’t get his little fat buddy back Dear Boss is dead We’ve got Hughie Hogg instead To steal and extort our money blind The Beaudry’s run his still Dewey Hogg took out his filll Compared to them, our dear Boss was kind. I think a lot of us know "A lot of leavin' left to do" because John Schnieder picked it as his favorite video on CMT Stacked. That's where we heard it anyway. It is a fun song, but be haven't heard the other one.
