  1. Anyone on here do YouTube as a hobby? Like I mean with your own channels and stuff? I want to learn more about running a channel.
  2. I’m always up for some fun, I’d love to get involved
  3. Can I just say, Catherine Bach was of course the OG Daisy, but Jessica Simpson!! WOWZA!
  4. Yep I kinda remember reruns of that guy on my local pbs too I think, and yes George Carlin did do a few seasons with Thomas, lol perhaps this will bring back memories In addition to Dukes I recently started to collect the vintage diecast models made for the Thomas show. (Ironically made by ERTL as well )
  5. Does anyone here remember a guy on PBS called Bob Ross? His voice was so relaxing!
  6. Howdy y’all, so I just got gifted a nice acoustic guitar in great shape, music/guitar stand, books, picks, tuner gadget, etc I want to learn but I wonder if anyone here has any advice or experience on learning guitar. I would love to teach myself how to play Good Ol Boys or General Lee by Johnny Cash. Or Momma’s don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys. Let me know y’all!
  7. Well y’all in the past 24 hours, life hasn’t been too eventful but I did go to visit a friend who was staying in town, hung out with her and her doggo. Cute as button, but so strong. That pup pulled me and I’m a full grown man. What happened was she was just going to get something at the nearby convenience store… the dog went nuts and started pulling me along even though I dug my heels in. Guess you just can’t get between a dog and their momma. Lol.
  8. Sorry to hear Hobie, also man it’s been a little while since I was on here. Had to log in and let y’all know I was still straighten the curves, and flattenin the hills! Made this video slideshow of my local Boars Nest too
  9. Skipper, you and Ruby are definitely in my prayers. 🙏 Always here for you cousin.
  10. https://youtu.be/YdGa6TBwWgQ?feature=shared I grew up on this classic as a kid, from a very young age. Although some of you may remember it aired under a different name in America on PBS I only discovered Dukes when my adoptive dad came into the scene lol. Funny, my 2 childhood favourites both wore Number One
  11. Oh Roger, that’s not good news at all. Shoot, anything they can do for it? Also thanks for the belated wishes And I didn’t know about that actually, been meaning to look into the animated series more. I know a box set was released by Warner Bros at one time, of the cartoon series. Not sure if it’s still in print or not.
  12. Basically the same thing, celebrating the date of our founding as a nation, July 1st 1867.
  13. Howdy y’all, forgot to post this yesterday but how was your 4th of July? What did you do to celebrate? Hope it was a great one! Yee-Haw!
  14. Sorry for the late replies folks, well here in my area, we often throw quite a bash. Rubber Duck Races, Community Wide BBQ, Community Breakfast (early morning) and even a fireworks show after the day is done, just to name a few things. Normally I’m right in the thick of things but this year I had to take a step back because I wasn’t too good health wise. Did still see the fireworks show though
  15. Not too sure honestly hmm….
  16. I’ll be sure to give it a try! Thanks again cousin
  17. Thanks cousin, be only too happy to swing on by! Feelin a little better too, it’s taken me a long time to get through it though.
  18. My hometown is a lot like Hazzard to me, it’s very cozy and close knit, kind of everyone knows everyone sort of vibe. We have a lot of community events, Canada Day, Labour Day (with a parade that runs through the Main Street) and to top off the Hazzard connection, we actually have our very own Boars Nest! The owner is actually referred to as “Boss Hogg” by a lot of people round here too.
  19. It’s great they managed to save the original General Lee.
  20. Currently been battling a sinus infection and it migrated to my chest. Been battling it for 3 weeks now.. Wish it would just take a hike. On a positive note, I did wake up this morning feeling better but still stuffy in my nose and a bad cough. Nothing worse than a summer illness y’all
  21. I tried my first beer earlier in the year. Not sure if I mentioned it before lol, Busch Light.. not a huge fan of the taste right off, but that’s only one beer, there are a lot of different brews. Wouldn’t mind just finding something I can stick in a can cooler for a summers day, sit out on my porch and enjoy.
  22. Oh yeah for sure, perfect for that. John Anderson is another favourite of mine.
  23. In 1969, a little Volkswagen with a mind of his own, was introduced to the world in the movie - The Love Bug. Featuring main actors Dean Jones, Michelle Lee, Buddy Hackett David Tomlinson This movie is a Disney classic, and one of the first movies I remember watching as a kid. Way back on VHS. (Showing my age a little bit lol) But it really fired up my imagination, I think I was maybe 3-5 years old and I had an old toy car, wasn’t even a Volkswagen and I knocked together a little Herbie. Was wondering does anyone else remember this great movie?
