  1. In Carnival of Thrills, Boss Hogg wears a Lancaster Uniform Cap Co. Yacht Captain Skipper when he's working out on his boat machine. This is a Gilligan's Island Easter Egg. Because Lancaster Uniform Cap Co. 1929-2011 made Alan Hale Jr.'s hats for Gilligan's Island the 3 seasons 98 episodes (1964-1967, and the last 2 Reunion movies The Castaways On Gilligan's Island (1979) and The Harlem Globetrotters On Gilligan's Island (1981).

You can straighten the curves but I can flatten the hills with this souped up truck.

Speaking of which, we went out for ice cream tonight and on the way down were listening to a classic country station and they played the Dukes theme. I was riding on a cloud....smiled the whole song!

Sometimes I hear it too. On the Froggy 95 channel.

  3. I love this from Season 7 Cool Hands, Luke & Bo. The Osage County Colonel Cassius B. Claiborne episode.

Sheriff R. P. "Droopy" Cathcarte and Colonel Cassius B. Claiborne are chasing the prison caravan, and the prisoners in the back from the Osage County Prison are throwing the picks, axes, etc at the patrol car. Bo is driving the prison truck.

Bo:"Y'all, I can't hold 'em off anymore! Give 'em all you got!"

They start throwing the items off the truck at the car.

Colonel Cassius B. Claiborne:"Them boys are tryin' to hurt us bad Droopy!"

Droopy:"Don't worry Mr. Claiborne sir! We'll get 'em!"

  4. Y'all... There's a site called bit chute for old classic TV series, and they have a channel that has The Dukes of Hazzard on it. They have all 7 seasons all 147 episodes. Not just scenes like TV Stunter on YouTube has. Plus bit chute has no ads, and it has the whole intact theme song, episode, closing theme song. They're uninterrupted. It's just like a DVD. Goes off where breaks are and right back on again. I think they skip that "Tonight on the Dukes" episode trailer bit before the theme song for fair content use, since they're using the opening theme song, the episode and closing theme song. I think TV Stunter channel on YouTube gets around copyright by doing only the clips.

  5. Benford Yacht Hat price update! The hat's price went up from $249 to $275, a $26 increase. BUT, they're now offering free shipping, which used to be $17.05! So, the new total price is actually just $8.95 more than before. Guess they're trying to sweeten the deal to boost sales? Interestingly, $275 was also the price point of the Lancaster Uniform Cap Co., the iconic makers of Alan Hale Jr's hats in Gilligan's Island. And maybe the recent TV appearances by John Goodman wearing Benford Yacht Hat in The Righteous and James Spader wearing it in The Blacklist are behind the price bump to $275 with free shipping - a clever move considering the original total price was $266.05!

I assume you mean Barney Benson - Barney Miller was a 1970s/80s sitcom starring Hal Linden.

Each episode that you named includes a late-70s brown Ford Econoline van, but there are differences. The one in 'Big Brothers, Duke' appears to be a lighter brown and has tan or gold stripes along the sides. Although '10 Million Dollar Sheriff' and 'Trouble at Cooter's' are consecutive episodes, I spotted difference there too. The van in '10 Million Dollar Sheriff' has a roof rack, bars on the rear windows, silver trim over the wheels and along the sides, and the interior of the rear is painted in a dark color. Note: When Rosco pulls it over and it crashes off-road, the van changes to one with round headlights when they are rectangular for the rest of the episode. It would be possible to remove the additions and repaint the interior to change the appearance for 'Trouble at Cooter's', but my guess is that they were all just similar vans.

    Thanks HossC. :)

  7. Gilligan's Island fans... The Benford Yacht Hat 2016- present of Inverness Florida which is a replica of the R. I. P.  Lancaster Uniform Cap Co. Los Angeles California 1929- 2011 hats, has changed their price from $249 + $17.05 shipping $266.05 to $275 free shipping. The Benford Yacht Hat is now $275 free shipping in 48 states.

  8. I love this line in Season 7 No More Mr. Nice Guy, during one of several bouts of Boss Hogg's amnesia thru out the episode. The bad guys kidnap him in a scene, and they knock his head on the roof, to subdue him before loading him into the backseat. Because he wouldn't hold still and tried getting away.

Waylon Jennings:"So, they beddie byed Boss, an' hauled him out of town like a sack of Grits." Befitting since the Boss wears that White 3 piece suit.  Grits are White.

  9. HossC... The audio and on camera commentaries of Season 3 'And in This Corner, Luke Duke' by Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), John Schneider (Bo Duke) and Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) mentions some of The Andy Griffith Show was filmed at the Hazzard Square set. Is it true?

  10. Season 7 No More Mr. Nice Guy. Bo and Luke are chasing one of the bad guys and a bad girl who is their partner. The bad guy and girl escape the train, General Lee stops on the tracks. The lights are flashing with the ding ding ding sound the railroad crossings make.

    Luke:"What'd you stop for?"

Bo:"I didn't. The General did." They look at each other and hurry up and get out the windows. Luke runs to the back. Bo reaches in and puts it in gear so it will roll forward when they push.

Luke (Before Bo joins him to help push.):"Put it in neutral, dummy!"

    It freezes for the commercial.

Waylon Jennings:"Now, boys, I know you've been pushin' yer luck. But, that was just a warm up fer the pushin' you better be doin' now."

They make it just in time. The train comes by honking its horn.

Bo (Yelling at the driver):"Thanks a lot Wendell!"

  11. Dukes of Hazzard Fun Fact: Did you know? The General Lee's iconic Confederate flag decal was sometimes made using a surprising material... white cloth medical tape! That's right, the white rectangle and 13 stars and white outline around the blue border where the stars went were crafted with tape, not paint or vinyl. Mind. Blown. 12. Y'all... I spotted Fred and Lamont Sanford's truck of Sanford and Son in The Dukes of Hazzard Season 3 Uncle Boss(filmed in Season 2 aired in Season 3.) The truck can be seen in Hazzard Square when Rosco starts chasing Luke & Cooter when he thinks they're running moonshine, after he saw them load the trunk with the boxes, after Uncle Jesse's disguised voice phone call tip off to him. In the clip, the truck can be seen at 0:03.
