Gonna miss hearing that voice. He definitely added some excitement to races. Martin Truex jr won the Instacart 500 in Phoenix Sunday. The Penske racing trio started off strong even finishing 1,2,3 in the first stage but Joey Logano was the only Penske car that kept up with the track changes except at the end. Three Hendrick motorsports cars had to start from the back due inspection issues but they finished strong within the top 10. Top 10 1 Martin Truex jr 2 Joey Logano 3 Denny Hamlin 4 Brad Keselowski 5 Chase Elliot 6 Kevin Harvick 7 Kyle Larson 8 William Byron 9 Christopher Bell 10 Ryan Blaney Seems tv ratings have hit a plateau, staying around 4.3 million viewers every Sunday for the cup races. That's the good news, bad news is if this keeps up it will be the least watched season since the early 2000's

If it weren't for social media I don't think there would be a "cancel culture" but since a small percentage of people can make so much "noise" company's feel they have to react otherwise they'll be branded offensive for life on social media. Looks like Sharon Osbourne is next in the Cancel Culture's crosshair's , I don't watch The Talk but I seen the clip and it's hilarious how fast it got spun around on her.

Thank you . She's much better. She stuffed herself the other night with fried chicken and a salad. First time she cleaned her plate in more than a week. Read a local news article yesterday about other buyer's struggles trying to buy a house. Comforting to know we're not going he only ones struggling against the out of state jackals buying up all the housing. One couple have been out bid on 32 houses . It be nice if it was a level playing field where home buyers had an actual shot in hell against the investors/flippers throwing briefcases of cash at sellers. And since it's a cash deal it nullify's the need for an inspection and appraisal which mortgage buyers have to get so of course sellers will take the cash deal 99% of the time. Looks like my dad and the neighbor finally come to an agreement on the bushes. The neighbor got an estimate on replacing them and she said it was outrageous so she's just going to have the damaged ones removed and replace them with some other plant. At least I won't be hearing my dad whine about it anymore, that got old two weeks ago and he still goes on about it every single day. I assume when my dad was a kid he whined until my grandparents gave in or something. Even my one uncle the other day said it's time my dad grew up and took some responsibility lol, at least I'm not the only one in the family saying it. I always wondered why Philip was called Prince and not King, that's interesting.

Got outbid on another house this morning. It was our first time at an auction so it was an interesting experience. The auctioneer never even got down to our max. Soon as he came down to $100k a guy bid. There were about half dozen of us there to bid on the house but in the end only two people bid on it. One guy kept upping his bid $5k till the other couple dropped out. I think it was a bleeping flipper. Those bleepers are buying up houses like wildfire around here. People wanting to buy a house can't catch a break because those suckers swoop in 1st day a house comes on the market and puts in a cash offer that 9 times out if ten the seller accepts. It's become such an issue that one of the local news stations even did a story about flippers buying up the majority of the houses around here a few days ago. Would've been a nice little slice of country heaven.

Wife's doing much better today. No headache today and no more nausea. Even got her out of the house, went to the bank and store. Things between my dad and his neighbor apparently have gotten worse lol. I and my uncle's just don't understand why he won't just pay for 2 new bushes for her and be done with it. Apparently he's willing to let this go all the way to court if it does come to it. Sorry to hear Roger. Prayers and good wishes to you.

Nascar is going to take a close look at Kyle Busch's spin that caused a caution in the Las Vegas truck race https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/03/09/kyle-busch-bubba-wallace-kyle-larson-dale-jr-nascar-to-examine-issue-of-intentional-spin-after-truck-incident/ Nashville Fairgrounds neighbors voice their opinion about the track reopening https://fox17-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/fox17.com/amp/news/local/neighbors-voice-concerns-about-nascars-possible-return-to-nashville-racing-fairgrounds-speedway-bms-metro?amp_js_v=a6&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=16154033053831&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From %1%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Ffox17.com%2Fnews%2Flocal%2Fneighbors-voice-concerns-about-nascars-possible-return-to-nashville-racing-fairgrounds-speedway-bms-metro. They're not happy about it or Nascar coming back. We'll have to wait and see if the NIMBY's get their wish. Took the wife to the ER last night since her weeklong headache wouldn't go away and she puked. The tests they did all came back normal. The doc said she's got some viral infection but unsure of what it is but said she's probably in the last stage of it since her fever broke Monday night. They gave her a headache 'cocktail' which seemed to have worked, hopefully it won't come back today, and something for the nausea. They didn't do a covid test since she got one Sunday and supposedly it's the most accurate test available at the moment. I hope she gets better. I'm so used to being the sick one and don't like seeing her sick instead.

Kyle Larson won the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas yesterday in only his 4th start in the Hendrick Motorsports #5 Chevy. Him and Brad Keselowski had the dominant cars of the race though Larson's was just a wee bit better. Hendricks, Penske and Gibbs teams took all but the 10th spot which Erik Jones nabbed in the #43 RPM Chevy. Hendrick motorsports is now just 3 wins away from tying most team wins which is still held by Petty Enterprises. Appears there might be a rivalry building in the Gibbs stable between Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex jr. The past few races they've been racing and blocking each other like they're not on the same team. I expect Martin will eventually get tired of Denny's antics and bump and run him out of the way. Top 10 1 Kyle Larson 2 Brad Keselowski 3 Kyle Busch 4 Denny Hamlin 5 Ryan Blaney 6 Martin Truex jr 7 Christopher Bell 8 William Byron 9 Joey Logano 10 Erik Jones

Cancel Culture just cancelled Pepe Le Pew. He's been removed from the new Space Jam reboot movie though "officially" it has nothing to do with a NY Times columnist basically calling the cartoon character a serial sexual predator in a recent op-ed. Funny my take away from Pepe Le Pew cartoons was if you don't heed a woman's no, boulders, safe's and other various objects will hit you in the head. Wife had another lousy weekend, same symptoms as last weekend. Took her to urgent care last night for a covid test but the results came back negative. They think it might be the flu. I used to be the one that always got sick while the wife strutted around like Wonder Woman never getting sick. Wish there was something else I could do for her.

Well my dad should have comprimised with the neighbor, now he gets to deal with her insurance company. Oh well I warned him. I called a local landscaping company and was quoted $75-400 depending on the size and variety of arborvitae.

BC? Some of us yankees don't get all the Southern fix ya up potions in store's up here. I took an Aleve with my dinner and thankfully the headache went away before bedtime. Yeah a car can run without a turbo at least the older cars could I don't know about newer ones with all the software controlling everything. Found out yesterday the oil line leak is another common issue with Chevy Cruze's with the 1.4l engine. Maybe he should have gotten a n.a. motored car.

The school has a strict dress code policy. Usually the students wear suit and ties Monday-Thursday. T shirts and hoodies I presume are not allowed on Fridays even though it's casual day. Had a long day...first the oil line going to the turbo on my dad's car sprung a leak. Got too listen to his "woe is me I don't know what to do" schpiel. Then tried to mediate deal with him and the neighbor but that is going swimmingly. This stems back from when my dad's tree fell in the neighbors yard and destroyed one if her arborvitae bushes. She wants it replaced but my cheapskate dad doesn't want to pay for it. Got a pounding headache from dealing with all that BS today.

Don't get complacent after you get the vaccine, you still can be a carrier and infect others. One lady I do odd-jobs for recently went out to eat with old co workers since she got both shots if the pfizer vaccine. Turns out one if the co workers had covid and didn't show signs till the day after. Now she and everyone else in the group has to quarantine for the next 7-10 days. Her Dr also told her she might experience mild covid symptoms but should be fine though she does have underlying health conditions so hopefully the vaccine will help her body's immune system kick covid's butt. Be vigilant, wear your masks and social distance at least until everyone who wants the vaccine gets it.

Minivan (interesting how the station wagon was the family hauler in the 60's and 70's then the minivans in the 80's and 90's and now the suv's have usurped that role). I remember me and my cousin would sit in the way back backward facing seat of my aunt's Ford wagon and we'd make funny faces at the drivers behind us .
