  1. Howdy Ramiro! Welcome to HNet! You're right, we have folks here who really know their stuff when it comes to the Dukes. Everything you ever wanted to know, you'll find it here.
  2. Congrats on a job well done! Loved seein' all the pics, you didn't clog up anything. LOL

It was. I don't think we spared any car in Hazzard from pranks. Even Hughie's VW Bug got the General Lee paint job. Khee!
  4. Happy Birthday Mufn!! Is there anything Hoss can't do? Vector art, birthday cakes... Heh!
  5. A very Merry Christmas to all our friends and neighbors in Hazzard!
  6. I did! And that's an example of the stuff I do in Paint Shop Pro. Don't worry, I don't mind you usin' the pic.

BAHAHAHAHAHA! That's about how I was picturing it! I love these! Thanks Hoss!
  8. Those are good K-Duke! I recognize the cast photo collage in the lower right corner of this one... http://kduke15.muzy.com/post/17452491 Heh heh!

Another flashback to that fanfic.... The General Lee, chopped like a convertible, painted white with steer horns on the hood... What say you, Hoss?

I wrote a fanfic once where the Duke boys and Cooter, as a prank, painted Rosco's patrol car hot pink... I shoulda gone with this paint scheme. Khee!

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what Rosco would be driving if Boss had ever succeeded in completely and totally controlling Hazzard County. The Dukes would be gone from Hazzard, Cooter would be out of business and Rosco would have to pull himself out of the creeks!

    I'll second that!
  13. Five years ago, one of my coworkers spotted this truck and took the picture with his cellphone... I haven't seen the truck since then but I have seen, over the years, various "01" paint jobs on doors of vee-hicles. Heh!
  14. I use Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 and have had pretty good luck with it. I like to do desktop wallpapers and banners. It's nice to see the free online photo editors now tho'. At the time when I was startin' to do photo edits, there weren't any so I bought the software to do it. My previous laptop was a Vista system and the Paint Shop Pro software I had on that had an animated .gif maker which I had fun with. Unfortunately, the Windows 7 versions does not and I really miss that.
  15. That's neat!
  16. Food? I was supposed to bring the food?? No wonder Hoss is lookin' at me funny here in the chatroom....
  17. When I was learning to drive, I first started learning a little by driving in empty parking lots with my mom. Unfortunately, she was too nervous about letting me drive on the road, so when I took driver ed and it came to my first time driving a car on a public road... ...it was in a snow storm. Heh! I gotta say tho', it is the BEST way to learn to drive a car. Because you really learn to pay attention to the car itself, the way the vehicle's weight shifts when you turn, when you're going through snow, how to keep it from sliding, the effect speed has on whether the vehicle slides, how to steer to counter a slide (and not over steer), work the brake, ect... The other thing my instructor did that was beneficial was have me drive in an empty parking lot (in good weather, dry pavement) and go around in a tight circle, (not a sliding turn but the car would lean pretty good) and do figure 8s. Again, it taught me to pay attention to the car, the steering, how far to turn the wheel, when to let go of the wheel and let it straighten on it's own, the weight shift, ect. As for any Dukes influence...well this was in between the original run and the return to TNN (there I go showin' my age again LOL). I dunno if all those car shows I watched as a kid in the 80s mighta had an effect, but I will say I would love to take my car to a big empty parking lot and do some tight turns and make the back side fish tail - just for the hell of it. LOL. I have yet to do that tho'. Anyway, like Roger said be careful. But also have fun. If you get the chance, I also recommend learning to drive a stick shift (if you're not already learning that). Knowing both is handy.
  18. When it's summer in the city, you know it's... Hot in the City - Billy Idol
  19. Actually Val, the reason we start it so early is for the folks like Hoss over in Ireland where when it's 6pm here it's 11pm there. As Roger noted, there is no official end time to the party. So if you don't wander in until 8 or 8:30 or 9 or whenever, the door will be open! We'd love to see ya!
  20. Big Girls Don't Cry - Fergie

Georgia - Boz Scaggs (Ya reckin' Boz ended up in Hazzard at one point? This song almost fits... LOL)
  22. You mean Saturday the 17th?
  23. Howdy RT! Welcome to HNet! (belatedly LOL). Great story about how the Dukes was and is a part of your life. I know Catherine was second behind Denver for your favorites, but allow me to take you back with that "People" mag cover of Catherine Bach (and for those who've never seen it...and the rest of us old duffers who might have forgotten about it. LOL...) I hope you vist more often too!
  24. Indeed. And with that pact (and the fact that I'm no good at carbon dating) I won't reveal Brian's actual age. It's easier for both of us to just say (and stay) 21.
  25. That's why I hate revealin' my age too much. Really! I'm still 21!!! LOL
