  1. It's great to hear from you again, MM, and I'm so glad it's with good news.
  2. If you're on a budget, I spotted this online during the week .
  3. Welcome to HNet, MissMausoleum. I wouldn't be an expert on this, but I can tell you that it's impossible to build an exact replica because the General changed over the seasons. For example, earlier cars had a narrower nudge bar welded to the bumper, but later cars had a wider one which attached to the frame. Side makers and back up lights can be seen on some cars but not on others. Some people like to include the decal of the crossed flags by the rear window, but that only appeared in the Georgia episodes. Engine-wise, the majority of Generals had a 383, but they also used some 318s and 440s (but no Hemis). The list goes on. Your best bet is to either pick a specific car to copy, or to combine the details you prefer. If you've been watching on Prime, you may have missed out on the DVD extras. The one below includes memories from some of the people who worked with the cars as well as a brief history of the Charger. Let us know how you get on.
  4. By coincidence, this is another case of a mistake in the credits. She was named Sue-Ann Pettigrew in the dialogue, but the credits named her character Sue Ellen.
  5. I've never noticed that before, Roger. Did you spot that Melanie Vincz (Lavinia) previously appeared as one of the Pretty Piggy contestants in Return of the Ridge Raiders?
  6. There's a pretty good replica for sale at benfordyachthat.com, but it's $249 + postage. On the plus side, it's available in 11 sizes.
  7. Hi all! My name is Romina, I am 23 years old and I'm a fan of the Dukes! Well, I wanted to know how I could change my username! I leave my MSN for you to answer me and if it can be in Spanish !! msn - -> oasismaniaca@hotmail.com Thank you! There are many HNet members who don't have English as their first language, but with Google Translate, we can now be friends with Dukes fans from around the world! Unfortunately, this was posted four years before I joined, so I never got a chance to reply. It's now fourteen years ago, so we're probably too late.
  8. I think Carson was Jessi Colter's manager, but his name is never mentioned in the dialogue. They weren't very good at crediting people in the Georgia episodes!
  9. I wasn't sure if Roger meant Ben Jones as the Chicago Federal Agent or Bill Gribble as Cooter Pettigrew.
  10. I would've thought that a castle had to have some sort of defensive element against attacks, i.e. thick walls, battlements, a moat etc. Having said that, Highclere Castle (a name on your list and the main filming location for Downton Abbey) is only a large country house, so maybe the definition gets a little stretched.
  11. I nearly included Chenonceau in my list, but omitted it because it's a château rather than a castle (to me it's more akin to a stately home). I visited Chenonceau in the late-80s, and it was certainly very picturesque. The Spencer family home: spelled Althorp, pronounced "Awltrupp" - that's the English for you!
  12. There's very little about Danone Simpson/Camden online, but I can't find anything linking her with Jessica Simpson.
  13. Danone Simpson (now known as Danone Camden) only has a handful of acting credits, although they include 98 episodes of Dallas as Kendall Chapman. According to IMDb, "She has been married to Mark Simpson since April 11, 1981. They have one child." From Jessica Simpson's IMDb bio, she's "Elder sister of Ashlee Simpson. Their parents are Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson. Joe worked as a psychologist and a Baptist minister in Texas but now manages his daughters' musical careers and their official websites. Mom, Tina, helps run her clothing empire."
  14. Thanks, Skipper, I never knew that.
  15. I don't know if I have a favorite, and when I looked at a list, I realized that I've only visited a few in the UK. Windsor Castle wasn't too far from where I grew up, so I've been there at least a couple of times. I've also been to Warwick Castle, Tintagel Castle, The Tower of London and the ruins of Corfe Castle and Sandsfoot Castle. There's a vague recollection in the back of my mind of my grandparents taking me to a castle, but that was over 40 years ago and I've no idea which one it was. Nowadays, there's a castle where I live that dates back to the 12th century. I walk past it or through its grounds at least once a week, but I haven't been inside any of the buildings since last year. Do you have any favorites from your book?
  16. And the fairground owner in Smokey and the Bandit II.
  17. Seeing as this was only four episodes into the Coy and Vance era, do you think that the original title was "Bo Meets Girl", and they had to change it at the last minute?
  18. Yes it was, although the appearance had been modified by then. My original Hazzard Square post is here.
  19. IMDb must've been updated since I wrote this, because it now says that Paul Smith died on March 3, 2006 aged 77.
  20. Richard X. Slattery (the cop on the left) played Capt. Dewhurst in two season 8 episodes of T.A.G.S.: "A Visit to Barney Fife" and "Barney Hosts a Summit Meeting". He played quite a few police/military parts over the years.
  21. Close enough. It's when Boss and Rosco meet Senator Maynard's assistant, Mr. Dugan, in 'Vance's Lady'.
  22. I hope these aren't the same relatives who wouldn't lend you money for a house recently. You can't earn money if you're doing work for free!
  23. The closed captions say "Welcome to the Duke Family Flying Circus", and, although they're sometimes wrong, to me it sounds like that's what Waylon's saying. It would make sense as "flying circus" would be a reference to the barnstorming airplane stunt shows which originally became popular in the 1920s. FWIW, the following lines are: Bo: "That sure is one heck of a mess [now], ain't it, Luke?" (the "now" isn't included in the closed captions) Luke: "Don't look at me, I wasn't driving."
  24. Bart Simpson has been voiced by Nancy Cartwright for over 30 years!
  25. The Gilligan's Island fandom site lists June Foray as Alice McNeil in 'Goodnight Sweet Skipper', but while IMDb agrees, it says that her part was uncredited.
