  1. Well done to everyone who said Ernie Hudson. Dukefan1 was correct about the episode, he played Avery in 'Dear Diary' and Winston Zeddmore in 'Ghostbusters'. According to IMDb, he's going to reprise his role in 'Ghostbusters 3', scheduled for 2012 - I'm not sure whether a new movie is good news or bad . Here's a reminder of how he looked (next question below picture): Q. Which guest actor who also appeared in Dukes season 4 became a Star Trek commander?.
  2. I thought it was about time that 'the law' was represented in 'Fan Art'. Here's my version of Rosco's patrol car. I've gone for the most commonly used model, a '77/'78 Plymouth Fury. Once they had settled on this model, there are only very small differences between them eg. mirrors, lightbar and fixings, side strip etc. Now that I have the basic shape, I intend to do one or two of the patrol cars from surrounding counties.
  3. I think they borrowed this from my mother . She was definitely using it before Dukes started.
  4. Don't expect me to get many of these, but I know this one - National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Q. Until recently, what was Charlotte Motor Speedway known as?.
  5. Jon Holland's website has some pictures of the house in the 'before and after' section, but doesn't give an address: http://dukesofhazzard01.com/beforeandafter77.html On another page, showing original filming pics, it says: "Later in the day the cast and crew transferred out to Alcovy Trestle where the filming of "Big Johns" character was pushed into the water. This was to the right of the Alcovy Bridge. After this was filmed the cast and crew went back to the house to remake-up, eat, and warm-up." ... which would suggest the house is close to Alcovy Trestle.
  6. I'm going to have to give half points all 'round there - while Peggy Rea was in 38 episodes of 'The Waltons', Denver Pyle did appear in one episode in the first season. Q. Which guest actor who appeared in Dukes season 4 became a Ghostbuster 2 years later?.
  7. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  8. It's never good to disagree with MaryAnne, especially when she's right . Here's Cathy in the movie (new question below): Sticking with Dukes cast members in other roles: Q. Which regular cast members appeared in 'The Waltons'?.
  9. wonderful As in 'There is nothing quite as wonderful as money' from Monty Python's 'Money Song'.
  10. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  11. I'll leave my original question open to see if the others agree with you or not. To answer your question, MaryAnne, I missed the first half hour when they showed it the other night, so I had to look it up. The Burt Reynolds quote is from the first 'Cannonball Run' (1981). You can see it at about 9:28 in this video: The Cannonball Run (1981) part 1/7 There are a few '81 Trans-Ams in the first movie that you're sure to like, including these two police cars: Looks like Rosco's lightbar on the blue one, but we're getting off topic now .
  12. Sorry General, I was away from the computer last night, but waikiki stepped in with the right answer. I've previously posted screengrabs from both in relevant sections of HNet: Sorrell Pics From Before Dukes Pics of Rick in M*A*S*H Another question about cast members in other projects today (only because the movie was on a couple of nights ago ). Q. John Schneider made a brief appearance in the 1989 movie 'Speed Zone' aka. 'Cannonball Fever', but which one of the regular Dukes cast appeared in the 1984 movie 'Cannonball Run II'?.
  13. Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi Mhaise Daoibh. ("Merry Christmas and happy New Year" in Irish)
  14. I completely forgot Terry Pratchett. It's been ages since I read a Discworld novel. I liked Mort where Death always speaks in capital letters and has a horse called Binky.

  16. set (for such a short word, it has one of the longest dictionary entries)
  17. I don't read a lot of fiction. If I do pick up a book, it's likely to be a biography or a book about WWII. Having said that, I do have a few favorites: Douglas Adams - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy/Dirk Gently. Ian Fleming - James Bond novels. Alistair MacLean - various action thrillers. Spike Milligan - war diaries, blurring the line between fact and fiction, but very funny. To give you an idea of what they're like, the first in the series in called 'Adolf Hitler: My Part in his Downfall '.
