  1. I'll make it multiple choice. All the options are of British origin, and all have appeared at least as a background vehicle in Dukes. The answer has already been posted by me in another thread a few months ago. A) Jaguar XK-E Triumph TR6 C) Triumph TR7 D) Austin Healey E) AC Cobra I'll put them to the test if I remember to buy a ticket - I only normally buy them when there's a massive rollover .
  2. Ann B Davis guest starred in Wagon Train Jimmie Best guest starred in Wagon Train Jimmie Best was Rosco on Dukes or Ann B Davis guest starred in Lux Video Theatre Robert Alda guest starred in Lux Video Theatre Robert Alda was CJ Holmes on Dukes or Ann B Davis guest starred in The Love Boat Jo Ann Pflug guest starred in The Love Boat Jo Ann Pflug was Helen Hogan on Dukes Cathy Bach was also in The Love Boat and Dukes as you mentioned a few posts ago.

    Signs of Hazzard

Nice one Tim. I've had that one nearly finished myself for some time, but was looking for the right picture of Rosco. Did you crop it from a screengrab of the sign?.
  4. Points to Roger (again ), DaisyMae and MaryAnne, the answer is CJ Holmes is from Tulsa. Roger, yesterday you wrote the following in the Luke's quotes thread: "Anyway, Bo was shocked when Roger's [Gaylord Duke's] little imported car pulled away from the General like it was standing still." Q. In 'Duke of Duke' what was the make and model of Gaylord's "little imported car"?. Seeing as Roger is on a winning streak at present, I have a bonus question just for him: Q. What 6 numbers should I play on this week's lottery? (I can't tell you if you're right until the weekend ).
  5. When you watch carefully there are more continuity errors than you initially realize, and the sound stages (mentioned above) appear quite prominently in some episodes without any attempt to disguise them. An amusing continuity error I spotted occurs during a chase around the square in 'To Catch A Duke'. Within a 5 second timeframe the appearance of Hazzard Theater changes 3 times. Meanwhile the shop next door changes from 'Julius Berg' to 'Hazzard County Telephone Company'.

    Miz Tisdale's Cab

Whilst looking through the episode again for a different screengrab I realised there was a short scene I'd missed originally. I think the unknown text reads 'SUGGESTS'. The image below shows the original grab, a color-tweaked and sharpened version, and how it would look it my version:
  7. I think I'd have to go for Boss's car. Abe's car was quite tatty when you look closely. Also Boss's car was made the same year that I was .
  8. gruff
  9. Don Adams guest starred in The Fall Guy Nedra Volz guest starred in The Fall Guy Nedra Volz was Miz Tisdale in Dukes Many other Dukes' guest stars were also in The Fall Guy, I may use them another time .
  10. I caught 5 minutes of "You've Got a Friend" today. It was being shown on a UK TV channel under the alternative title "Derby" (hence I didn't spot it). Sadly I wasn't at home, missed the first half, and was on my way out when I came across it with no chance to tape it. The TV guide gave the following summary: "Heartwarming drama starring John Schneider and Dylan McLaughlin. A little boy teams up with a reclusive Vietnam veteran to build a go-cart for the upcoming soap box derby. (2007)" Luckily I did have my camera with me and managed to get this picture straight off the TV:

  12. Drew Carey guest starred in Grace Under Fire. Peggy Rea (RIP) appeared in Grace Under Fire. Peggy Rea was Lulu Hogg in Dukes. Drew Carey used one of my favorite songs, 'Five O'clock World' by The Vogues as an .
  13. Sorry waikiki, Roger's obviously on a roll at the moment. The answer is G) Red, green, and yellow (if it's any consolation, I got confused just making up the choices ). Q. In 'The Runaway' where is CJ Holmes from?: A) Dallas Tulsa C) Bakersfield D) Fresno E) Gladewater CJ Holmes was in oil, so does that make him a dipstick? (thanks to Cletus for that one).
  14. Here is one of my reference screengrabs that shows the tape. It's when Rosco runs over the Finchburg fire hydrant. I got another screengrab the other day that clearly shows the front of a patrol car with a strip of silver tape over every letter of Plymouth on the grille. It's funny because they left all Cadillac logos on Boss and Abe's cars, they just removed or covered the Cadillac name. As I said above, on Boss's car they even changed the door mirrors for close-ups.
  15. I also had: Teri Hatcher guest starred in Seinfeld. Teri Hatcher guest starred in Smallville. John Schneider starred in Smallville.
  16. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  17. How about: Jerry Seinfeld voiced 'Barry B. Benson' in 'Bee Movie'. Jeff Altman voiced 'Uncle Carl' in 'Bee Movie'. Jeff Altman was 'Hughie Hogg' in Dukes.

    One Word Song Titles

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious - Julie Andrews/Dick Van Dyke I thought I'd post this one "even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious" .
  19. As we know, Boss's twin brother, Abraham Lincoln Hogg, was the opposite of Boss in just about every way. Boss has a white Cadillac, so Abe has a black one. Here is Abe's Cadillac from 'Baa, Baa White Sheep'. Unlike Boss's Cadillac this one is a '69, so the lights, rear bumper, grille, emblems and hub caps are different. I imagine the top view would be very similar, so I only did the side, back and front. As is common practice on Dukes, the 'Cadillac' script on the trunk was taped over, but the emblems are visible.
  20. cafe 'Sad Cafe' are a UK band best known for their 1979 hit . Besides, I know Roger likes this thread to be about food .

  22. Welcome to HazzardNet Chris. It's good to have another member on my side of 'The Pond'. With regard to links, I think you are OK posting your link here (mods may correct me ). Links in your signature are frowned upon, but don't forget to add a link to your profile page. More info here. I see your blog has only just started, so I'll keep an eye out for updates. Also, thanks for reminding me of the word 'antithesis' - I haven't used it for ages.
  23. Well done Roger, Gaylord's first sign was 'Stay Left' because the British (and Irish) drive on the correct side of the road . The other signs I spotted were 'God Save The Queen', 'Speed Trap 1 Mile Ahead' and 'Speed Limit 155'. If anything, the last one would have been MPH, not km/h. The British have taught the metric system since I was at school (all those years ago ). Produce, by law, must be sold in metric weights and measures (despite opposition from some areas - see Metric Martyrs). Initially old imperial quantities were converted directly eg. you couldn't buy a pint of milk, but you could buy 568ml. Then supermarkets realised that half a litre (500ml) looks nealy the same, so we got less for the same price. Despite this they still use miles, MPH and MPG when driving (when I first moved to Ireland all the distances were in kilometres, but the speed limits were in MPH - they have now changed the speed limits to km/h). Consequently, most kids now only understand the metric system, but as they say: "Give 'em and inch and they'll take 1.609 kilometres :)". I assume they picked 155 MPH for the sign because it was just a 55 MPH sign with a '1' in front, but in Europe many of the (mainly) German car manufacturers have a 'gentlemen's agreement' to electronically limit the top speed of their cars to 155 MPH (250 km/h). Enough metric/imperial trivia - back to the Dukes trivia: Q. In 'Arrest Jesse Duke' the car strippers drove three jeeps, but what colors were they?: A) Red, white, and blue Red, green, and blue C) Orange, yellow, and blue D) Orange, green, and blue E) Red, orange, and green F) Red, orange, and yellow G) Red, green, and yellow
