I'm in Ireland. There's a guy a few miles away with a fairly recent Dodge Rumble Bee, and I saw some large new pickup from a distance when I was in England recently, but these older trucks don't even seem to turn up at American car shows. We are paying about twice as much as you guys for gas, so maybe it's understandable.

Nice truck Monster - looks like it's in perfect condition. I like these '70s and '80s trucks more than the new ones - maybe because they remind me of some of my favorite TV shows . It's a shame we don't get to see the old or the new ones over here very often .

You didn't miss it Roger, it didn't make the list. Here's Farrah Fawcett's 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II. It's complete with a Farrah Fawcett mascot on the hood (I'm guessing they impeded vision, because I've never seen one ).

Of course I can Roger. Mrs. Oxford's boarding house (Enos's residence) also appears as the home of Mr. Winkle in 'The Haunting of J.D. Hogg' (I borrowed the picture from the Hazzard Square thread). Here's Rosco's house from 'Baa, Baa White Sheep'. It's only seen briefly, so this was the best long view I could get. There is a good close-up of the mailbox though. It looks to me as if Rosco's name originally had an 'E' on the end that's been scratched/peeled off. An episode later ('Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane') they do spell Rosco's name with an 'E' on his office door. I'm not sure how many episodes it's spelt this way, but I know it appears without the 'E' in many others. NB. We see the door from the inside, but I've mirrored the image to make it easier to read.

Something Better Change - The Stranglers

After seeing Ray Stevens on The Fall Guy earlier I thought I should post one of his songs. Misty - Ray Stevens Ray played country singer Webb Covington whose son was accused of a murder amid a music bootlegging storyline. Most of the action in 'Pirates of Nashville' takes place in and around the Grand Ole Opry and includes cameos by Dottie West and the Charlie Daniel's Band. It also guest starred Miriam Byrd-Nethery who appeared twice in Dukes (Rose Ellen in 'Double Sting' and Holly in 'Southern Comfurts').

This song came out in 1992, but to me sounds like it mixes part of with the backing of . With those ingredients you wan't be surprised that it's a catchy tune.

You'll be pleased to know that all is jolly well over here because that's just how we talk (not) . Family Guy is good at mocking the English as this scene shows (I think the image is mirrored to avoid copyright). My father and I actually waited outside Downing Street to see Jimmy Carter when he came to visit British PM Jim Callaghan - it must have been in the late '70s. Security wasn't as tight then - I bet you wouldn't get anywhere near them now.

I think the picture I used was an original, but there are replicas. There's a site for the surviving Duel truck here. There's also a thread I found by someone who created a great looking model of the Duel truck - it's here. There's someone in Japan who's recreated a 1:14 scale (I think) model of Rubber Duck's rig - it's complete with radio control and working lights, and the detail's incredible. The text is in Japanese, but the pictures speak for themselves. The site is here. Finally, if you like Smokey and the Bandit models then look no further than here. If you look around the site you'll also find pictures of loads of Trans-Ams and a Snowman rig on the Bandit Run. There's even a picture that looks like Snowman's rig got pulled over by the Hazzard Sheriff's Department .

I checked my notes, and I think it was 'A Baby for the Dukes' that had the horses. I think the answer to the new question is 'Undercover Dukes'. If I remember correctly, the address of the Duke farm varies depending on the episode. It's either Old Mill Road, Mill Road, or Mill Pond Road. I can't remember the address for the Davenport farm right now, but I'll post it if I remember before anyone else posts it.

As y'all know, I'm not from the US, but I'm aware that a lot of you are. Since I've been on HNet I've made a conscious effort to try to spell words the American way (when I remember there's a difference) - I just thought it would make things easier. George Bernard Shaw said "England and America are two countries separated by a common language.". We have trousers and pavements, y'all have pants and sidewalks (although trousers are called pants here in Ireland), but sometimes we even spell common words differently. I found the following spelling test on quiz site Sporcle earlier. It gives the US spelling of 44 words and you have to enter the British spelling. It was probably easier for me being British, but I got 40/44 before the time ran out. How do y'all feel about a side poll for your favorite TV/movie big rig?. Here's eight to start the ball rolling, although I could add Waylon Jennings' rig from 'Welcome, Waylon Jennings' to the list. Some of these are replicas - I'm quoting the make/model as they appeared in the show/movie. They are: BJ and the Bear 1978 Kenworth K-100 Aerodyne: BJ McKay's truck. Smokey and the Bandit 1974 Kenworth W-900: Snowman's truck. The Highwayman 1980 Kenworth COE (before modification): The Highwayman's truck. (NB. the truck is not exactly how it appeared in the series as this picture was taken part-way through the owner's conversion of the truck into a mobile home) Duel 1955 Peterbilt 281: David Mann's mysterious nemesis. Convoy 1977 Mack RS-712 LST: Rubber Duck's truck. Knight Rider 1973 Peterbilt 352 Pacemaker: 'Goliath', built by Michael Knight's evin twin-brother Garthe Knight. Despite some stiff competition, I'm going to give my vote to Rubber Duck's truck from Convoy. While I was searching for the pictures I came across the following picture of an aerodynamic, fuel-efficient concept truck - it wasn't in a show or movie, but it's not a million miles away from The Highwayman truck.
