Just to clear up what we've been discussing privately, and add a few more details, here's a summary: The episode is 'Close Call for Daisy' in season 6 and the other notebook belonged to "Nervous" Norman Willis. The Reverend is called "Reverend" at least twice in dialog, but not given a name. The credits just say "the PASTOR". The name J.P. Frawley comes from the sign outside the church: This screengrab actually comes from a few episodes earlier, but can be seen at the end of the scene where the notebooks get swapped. The Reverend/Pastor was played by Joe Mays who sadly passed away just 10 years later at the age of 45.

Season 5 starts with a dearth of patrol cars. Aside from the odd appearance of Sheriff Little, most of the bad guys in the Coy and Vance episodes get taken away by Hazzard's own police at the end of an episode. For that reason I've included the following two pictures. The sharp-eyed amongst you will notice that these are not strictly cars (the lack of enough wheels was what gave it away to me!). This motorcycle is seen briefly in 'The New Dukes' as it escorts the armored car which gets attacked by the Mean Green Machine. It seems to have a plain white gas tank, and the rider's badges are never seen clear enough to read. After some Googling I think it's a 1978 Kawasaki KZ 1000 Police, but I really don't know much about bikes, so stand to be corrected. Two more bikes here, this time from 'Coy vs. Vance'. They look very similar to the one above, although the windshields are different, the orange lights are different sizes and the one above doesn't have mirrors. This time some badges are visible. The 6-pointed star on the gas tank (see inset) is similar to the Hazzard badges and says "COUNTY" across the top, although I can't make out the lower text. By contrast, the uniform badges definitely say "CITY POLICE" (see other inset). For some unknown reason the typeface used for the word "POLICE" on the windshields is different on each bike. Now back to 4-wheeled vehicles, and back to an episode that ends with the bad guy getting taken away by non-Hazzard police. On this occasion it's Joel in 'Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke'. The State Police car has the same badge as the one that appeared in 'Baa, Baa White Sheep' (second picture), although that was a black and white 1977/78 Monaco and this is a blue and white 1975/76 Fury with spotlights on the A-pillars. This one also has an all red lightbar instead of the more usual blue and red combination. This green and white 1975/76 Fury shows up in 'Big Brothers, Duke'. The 7-pointed badge on the door says it belongs to Capitol City Police, but it looks to me like one of Sheriff Little's cars with the 'fangs' removed.

I agree with BL - CJ Holmes presented "Dixie" to Daisy at the end of the episode (although it mysteriously appeared two episodes earlier in 'Arrest Jesse Duke').

Thanks Mufn, that's a nice mellow track. Here's one with a similar-sounding title, but it's very different: Streetband was an early outing for vocalist Paul Young. This novelty song was originally a B-side (remember them? ) until a DJ picked it up and started playing it.

I realize that the previous post didn't mention Dukes much - well let me fix that. Below is a picture from 'High Flyin' Dukes' - an episode that makes good use of the landing strip at Indian Dunes. The camera must have been in virtually the same spot as the one that took the picture below. It shows a more recent (2004) view across the area that was formally the eastern end of the runway. The hills is the background are identical. Click here to see the great site where I found the picture. It give a lot more history of the airport along with more pictures, both past and present. It also names a few other TV shows and movies that were filmed there. Here's a picture from 'Comrade Duke' that shows the airport buildings. The Hazzard Airport building on the left and the gas pump were added for filming, but the other three are visible on the black and white map above. This is all that can be seen of that same area today.

If I sounded slightly unsure of the location of the "Lake Sherwood" sign identified in the previous post, after watching a few more episodes I'm now certain about it. I've also noticed that in 'Granny Annie' Rosco chases the General up the road opposite the sign. The picture below acts as a great signpost to today's subject (you see what I did there?). I've discussed this location briefly in another thread, but didn't include any pictures. This post is mainly concerned with the landing strip that was located at Indian Dunes. The map below shows how it looked in 1977 (the closest date to Dukes filming that I could find). The road across the top is Henry Mayo Drive (SR-126), and is quite close to both Castaic Junction and Six Flags Magic Mountain Amusement Park that I've covered in earlier posts. The airport was built by the Newhall Land & Farming Company sometime between 1964 and 1969. Here's another view from around the same era, this time from the north and in color. I found it on a website about filming locations used in 'Escape From New York'. It details how the area behind the runway was also used for filming episodes of Airwolf, The A-Team, The Fall Guy, Knight Rider and MacGyver. The '70s TV show 'Black Sheep Squadron' used both the runway and the area behind. If you want to see more, click here (it's a 6.5Mb PDF file with loads of photos). As well as the landing strip I've also found loads of references to (and fond memories of) the motocross racing that used to take place here. The picture above shows the Shadow Glen and International tracks along with a 1/2 mile oval and a small oval near the road. The motocross seems to have stopped sometime around 1985. Some of the runway was torn up soon after, although the eastern side survived, at least partially, into the early '90s. This article from the LA Times says that Indian Dunes ceased to be a filming location in late 1990, and returned to farm land. Like the Valencia Oaks Ranch, there have been plans to build on the site, but nothing is definite yet. Today there's not a lot left to suggest the area's history. I thought "disk 7" was a typo until I checked - in region 2 (Europe, Middle East etc.) where I am only the first and last seasons were released on single-sided discs, all the rest were double-sided, and none exceeded five discs. I'm really not a fan of double-sided discs, but yet again we get a cheapened product . I found a "like new" complete season 5 on Ebay for $5 + $2.47 postage. I don't know if you can get replacement discs individually, but $7.50 doesn't sound too much to pay: Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Fifth Season (DVD, 2005, 8-Disc Set)

I've put these cars together because they're very similar. Both are 1975/6 Dodge Coronets with two-tone white over brown paint, both have the squarer style lightbar, both have color-coded wheels and both use the Hazzard-style 6-pointed "County Sheriff" star. Now the differences: The top one is the Sweetwater patrol car as seen in 'The Ghost of General Lee'. It has blue lenses on both sides of its lightbar and gray or black spotlights on the A-pillars. Under the star on the door is simply the word "Sheriff" - it doesn't mention Sweetwater anywhere. I wonder whether the "Sheriff" sign is one of the fender signs from a Hazzard car. The lower one is the Choctaw car from 'Double Sting' as driven by Sheriff Ragsdale. It has the more usual red/blue lightbar and an aerial on the roof instead of the trunk. The words "Choctaw County Sheriff" appear under the star. I've deliberately made the background of this sign brighter because that's the way it appeared to me.

Welcome to HNet. It's a shame you don't have the old battery - it would've made things easier. I'd agree with Brian's advice, but if you have no luck at the jewelry store I found this site that offers two Unisonic compatible batteries for $3.99 each, although there's no guarantee either would fit your fiancé's watch (the site is slow to load for me). It may seem like overkill but these watches seem to be freely available on Ebay for between $10 and $30 - most are $15-$20 and some even come with new batteries. Click here to see what's currently available (NB. this is a link to a search, not a specific item, so results will change). In case it jogs anyone's memory for the battery type, I've included a picture of the watch below. It seems to have been available with two different fascias (see inset), but was otherwise the same product. If we could get a part # I'm sure it won't be too hard to find a battery.

The well known one in 'One Armed Bandits' is the banner at the end where they spell Rosco as "Roscoe": In the close-ups there is a balloon in the way so you can't see the mistake: You may be right about bad spellers on the crew. If you check out The Patrol Cars in Pictures thread you'll see that US Marshal was often spelled "US Marshall". Also, in the Bad Spell of Jesse! thread you'll see that Jesse's name was spelled "Jessie" at least twice.

I didn't know that the soundstage car was a '68 - be fair, there aren't a lot of '68 styling cues in the image I had to work with . Here's a couple from 'Daisy's Song'. In the first picture Bo is in the Road Runner while Luke is driving Ms. Mabel's RV. Two patrols are seen racing towards their location, yet when Bo crashes through this gate the patrol cars are visible in the background. One is moving slightly, the other is completely stationary. The front of the blue Chevy Chevette is just visible above the windshield of the Road Runner - it is also stationary. Immediately after this the patrol cars are hot on their heels. Towards the end of the episode Ms. Mabel and her girls arrive in their RV to distract the music pirates. When the RV enters the field it has a large hand-made banner on the side. When it comes to rest, and for the remainder of the scene, the banner has been changed. It still seems to have the same misspelled message ("WELCOME SINDICATE PIRATS TO HAZZARD COUNTY"), but the writing is different. In the version below the lettering is heavier and more rounded. It looks like this later scene was filmed with artificial lighting (see reflection to the right of the RV's door), and may even have been a different day.

Excellent find, but the title of the movie is actually It Happened One Night ("A Night to Remember" was a 1958 movie about the Titanic disaster). The whole movie is on YouTube - the scene we're talking about starts at about 23:17. It Happened One Night
