  1. It wasn't in the series, it only appeared in the 'Reunion' TV movie.
  2. I think the original structure has now been scattered far and wide. Just to show what was there and what's there now, here's the original Duke Farm in April 2010: It survived into 2011, but the first 2011 aerial is very blurry. By the end of 2011 the farm had gone: All that's left now is the stone from the fireplaces/chimneys. You can see for yourself on Google Maps. Although Street View only goes as far as the junction in the bottom right of the aerials above, if you drag the Street View figure across the farm location you can see about half a dozen photos of the farm before dismantling.
  3. I'm not sure if I've heard that particular story, but there was talk of preserving the farm for its historical significance (long before Dukes ). There's more discussion about the farm here.
  4. It used to be on Disney's Golden Oak Ranch just east of Santa Clarita, CA. It was one of at least three movie ranches used to film the California episodes. As you can see from the pictures, it has recently disappeared as they take out some of the rural elements and build urban ones. Check it out on Google Maps. I think the Hazzard Stockyard buildings that are a few hundred yards south-west of the bridge location are now the only ones that still survive from when Dukes was filmed there. As for the other two main ranches, Sherwood was completely remodeled and turned into a golf club, and Valencia Oaks is now overgrown with the threat of housing development. CDoherty has a thread about the Valencia Oaks Ranch here.
  5. If I remember correctly, it had become unsafe and beyond repair.
  6. Hi Adam, welcome to HNet. I nearly missed your first posts with all the upheaval of the forum upgrade yesterday. I'm afraid that I can't answer your gaming questions, but I'm sure there's someone here who can.
  7. Welcome to HNet. Unfortunately, the original Duke Farm is no longer there. It was dismantled last year, and I know that some HNet members were lucky enough to purchase parts of it. You can read a bit about it in this thread.

I first heard this track about ten years ago when it was used in . Not long after, I bought a compilation CD (the one pictured in the video below) because it had some other tracks I liked (at the time I didn't know what this track was). It seems to pop up on TV from time to time. Discogs.com catagorizes them as "Acid Jazz, Breakbeat, Downtempo". The nearest I have in my collection are the first two Lemon Jelly albums, although this has more sitar .
  9. I was watching 'Days of Shine and Roses' recently when I decided to do Boss and Jesse's cars from the moonshine race. It's not clear what happened to 'Sweet Tillie', Uncle Jesse's 1971 Ford Custom 500 from 'High Octane', but in this episode he gets a 1967 Mustang from Cooter. I already had artwork for a fastback Mustang, so I only had to modify the roof and rear end, and add the side vents. It looks pretty stock apart from nearly every part being painted matt black. The hubcaps initially had me stumped, and I looked through all sorts of Ford wheels before I discovered that they come from a 1968 Pontiac Tempest! Just to confirm the new name, here's the closed captions from the scene where Jesse names the car 'Black Tillie II'. Jesse's opponent, Boss Hogg, drives a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. This one just needed a reworking of the front and rear ends to change the 1967 Camaro that I already had. Just like Black Tillie II, nearly every part got spray-painted, this time gray. I've included a screengrab with the car's name because I was surprised to see it uses the British (correct!) spelling of "Grey". MaryAnne kindly confirmed that the Region 1 (US) DVDs have the same spelling for 'Grey Ghost, Jr.'. Like many of the other single-episode vehicles, it looks like there was more than one of each of these cars, although the differences are more noticeable on the Camaro (especially at the rear). A few episodes later, 'Hazzard Connection' also has a roughly painted Mustang and Camaro (the car used to scare Enos and one belonging to the bad guys respectively) - it's possible that these were the same cars repainted.
  10. You're welcome . To be honest, I happened to look at the line-up just as the qualifying finished. and noticed that both of the drivers who missed out were called Scott (Speed and Riggs).
  11. I think I'll stay out of the gun debate too - I'm just glad they don't do background checks before you join HNet . Good to see Ricky getting a better start this week. Garrett, are you sure Scott Speed is starting 43rd? NASCAR.com has Timmy Hill in 43rd with both the Scotts failing to qualify.
  12. Happy Birthday MaryAnne . Just bear with us - we've had to move the location of the celebrations, and we're a little behind schedule :
  13. Just to update the F1 pit stop info: at the last race in Malaysia, Red Bull managed to change all four of Mark Webber's tires in 2.05 seconds. The following video has commentary in German, but it's only 12 seconds long: F1 2013 - Pit Stop Record at Malaysian GP by Red Bull and Webber It took them a massive 2.13 seconds to change the tires of him team mate, Sebastian Vettel! I think they adjust the front wing too. If you look just above the yellow nose of the car, you can just see the traffic lights which tell the driver when to go.

Hey, great - we're doing number songs. I'll see your 1994 and raise you five :
  15. She's a rich girl, she don't try to hide it ...
  16. It happened to Jenson Button two weeks ago at the Malaysian Grand Prix, and in F1 the teams have complex systems involving traffic lights and sensors to try and prevent mistakes. Then again, when it goes right they can change all four tires in 2.31 seconds!: Night races aren't so good for me. I think next week's race starts at about 2 AM my time, and with the Chinese Grand Prix starting at 8 AM, I think I may have to give your race a miss .
  17. As you can probably tell from his name, this guy's obviously from Scotland . It was in the 2005 movie - one of the only good things about the movie IMHO .
  18. Here's a track from Kirsty's Cuban/Latin American influenced album 'Tropical Brainstorm': You're proving to be a bad influence on me, Garrett. When I saw "Shoes" I nearly posted a Montgomery Gentry track .
  19. I didn't expect it to go back and forth either, but it's been fun and I've learned a few things along the way. If you ever get a chance to see documentaries about any of these drivers they are well worth watching - they all have great stories to tell. Incidentally, the ESPN list put Jeff Gordon at #10 (although one of the voters was Jeff Gordon ).
  20. If I made the list bigger I would probably include NASCAR drivers like Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Gordon, but I don't think they'd make my top 10. It's impressive, but he doesn't even make ESPN's top 25. Acknowledged above - made #20 in ESPN's top 25. Most popular driver has little to do with most talented. Are we making a list of the greatest drivers or gymnasts? A monkey? Do you really rate drivers by their climbing ability? So now we're rating drivers on their fighting ability? Maybe I should include Wladimir Klitschko in my list of greatest drivers since he's the current heavyweight boxing champion (IBF, WBO & WBA (Super Champion)). I said I'd follow him this year - calling me a fan may be a bit of an exaggeration. Also, I'm not going to name a driver who's only a few races into his rookie season in a list of all-time greats. Who knows, he may make it one day. He's currently 16 points and 6 places ahead of Jeff Gordon .
  21. You don't disappoint me, but if you don't know who most of these people are, how can you even begin to name the greatest driver in history? Michael Schumacher only retired last year, but some of these drivers go back to the 1950s. Juan Manuel Fangio - The first driver to win five F1 championships. Fangio dominated the first decade of F1. Fangio's championships came for four different teams, a feat that never has been matched. Michael Schumacher - The only driver to win seven F1 championships. He is the only driver to win five consecutive F1 championships. Over that period, Schumacher won a staggering 48 of 85 events. Ayrton Senna - Three championships over a four-year span and 41 F1 victories in 161 starts. F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone called Senna, "The greatest driver I've ever seen." John Surtees - The only man to win world championships on two wheels and four. Stirling Moss - His success in a variety of categories placed him among the world's elite — he is often called "the greatest driver never to win the World Championship" Mario Andretti - The only driver to win an F1 title, the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500, and last American to win an F1 championship. Mike Hailwood - Considered to be the 'best motorcycle racer ever' by experts the world over. He won ten World Championships. He then turned to motor racing and went on to win the Formula Two European Championship for the Surtees team, then moved into Formula One. He was awarded The George Medal, Britain's highest award for civilian bravery, for his heroic rescue of Clay Regazzoni who was trapped and unconcious in his burning car after crashing in the 1973 South African F1 Grand Prix. Sébastien Loeb - He is the most successful driver in WRC (World Rally Championship) history, having won the world championship a record nine times in a row. Jim Clark - At the time of his death, Clark had won more races (25) and more poles (33) than any driver in F1 history. Clark won the Indy 500 in 1965, becoming the only man to win the F1 championship and Indy in the same season. AJ Foyt - The first four-time winner of the Indy 500 and the most Indy car victories in history with 67. Raced in Indy car until the age of 60. His final Cup race came in the inaugural Brickyard 400 at age 61. Jackie Stewart - One of only eight drivers to win three F1 championships. Stewart helped revolutionize safety standards at F1 tracks and was one of the first to use safety belts and full-face helmets. Dale Earnhardt Sr - One of only two drivers (along with Richard Petty) to win seven Cup championships. He was considered the greatest restrictor-plate racer of his era.
  22. I agree that Cale was a great driver, and I'm sorry to disappoint both of you, but unless you're only talking about the greatest NASCAR driver of all time, none of these drivers even make the top 10! Try looking up some of the following drivers (in no particular order): Juan Manuel Fangio Michael Schumacher Ayrton Senna John Surtees Stirling Moss Mario Andretti Mike Hailwood Sébastien Loeb Jim Clark AJ Foyt Jackie Stewart Dale Earnhardt Sr
  23. We both went for the right season. My first thought was 'Diamonds in the Rough' when Rosco's electronic speed sign messes with the electrics at the Boar's Nest. In that scene all the electric devices start spewing out money, although a huge amount of popcorn gets thrown in the air. By the time I'd checked out that scene, someone on the FaceBook page had correctly named 'Miz Tisdale on the Lam' as the episode with the misbehaving popcorn machine.

I have to admit, I only got to hear this song because it's being used on , but it was catchy enough for me to look up on YouTube. Their website says they "make psychedelic hypno-groove melodic rock music". Most of the debate on YouTube seems to be about whether or not they sound like The Beatles.
