  1. Luke nodded a little, feeling a little bad that he was leaving everything to Bo. He knew his cousin was reminding him of how different things were without him...how much he was needed. Yet he was scared to go back...scared he would mess everything up again. Despite his progress, he still had some fears to overcome.
  2. Luke gave a small smile. Unless that part of their lives had changed greatly, Daisy ALWAYS hated bringing fellas home to meet the family. No one was ever good enough for her, in Bo's and Luke's minds, and they usually let said fella know that. As a rule Daisy hated their overprotectiveness, but on accasion she was thankful for it,especially when guys would drop her off and expect a kiss or two or ten in return. Then Bo and Luke would emerge: Bo in his linebacker stance, his 6 foot 4 inch form looking down at the fella from the porch, a deep frown on his normally fun-filled face. Luke would be there too, his thumbs hooked in his jeans. He was smaller than Bo in height, but everyone in Hazzard knew he was not one to cross... he was all muscle, and wasn't the boxing champion of the Marine Corps for nothing. He was glad those things at least didn't change. Even so,he was afraid of what had changed and that was yet another reason he wasn't quite ready to go home.
  3. "You ain't overworkin are ya?" Luke asked. He hated the fact that he was leaving Bo to manage all of the farm, but at the same time, he just wasn't sure if he could manage without Sara, though he knew the day would eventually come when he would have to.
  4. I agree (and this time I aint forgetting to post)
  5. "You feeling okay?" asked Luke after a mock glare at Sara.
  6. Luke nodded. "Alright. Laughin so much my face hurts, but alright...how are you?"
  7. "Sure thing..." called Luke. He didn't really see the changes, not to the degree the others did... and he really was too humble to take credit he deserved. He still had bouts of depression now and then, but he overcame it quicker now, and the feeling of despair was gone.
  8. Before he could get to the door, Luke's laughter rang out like clanging bells, telling Bo instantly that Sara was with him.
  9. Luke thought a minute, before saying "Nam," the two soon lost in conversation.
  10. He looked at her. "Whatever you say," he murmured quietly.
  11. he'd name it Fluffy (to go with Flash) and feed it kitty num-nums. If you gave Enos Strate moonshine...
  12. Ok...well I will put my two cents in here too I guess... I am very sad this happened, and though I think he made some bad choices, I don't know anyone on Hazzardnet or elsewhere that hasn't done things that they regret. In Tom's case, it just gets publicized for the world to know about. I certainly don't condone it in any way, but NONE of us have a right to judge him for anything he did. And Kay I'm sorry, but I disagree with you... He is not "bad news" or "major trouble" You like most of us on here can not make a judgment like that based on what is publicized. For example, I think it was last summer Tom put a new roof on his step mom's house. It didn't make front news, but I think that is a nice thing for him to do. During his Dukes days, when the Hazard, KY mines collapsed, both Tom and John did a benefit concert to raise money for the families of the miners, and Tom himself put in 25,000 dollars extra to cover the concert expenses. Stuff like that is quickly forgotten. I am not saying he didn't make a mistake. But we don't have a right to judge him. We don't know why he is turning to alcohol or drugs but he is obviously hurting somehow and looking to make himself feel better. He needs our support, not our judgment. If you are like me and believe in God, take this to be a wake up call for us to pray for not ionly him, but others who are struggling with similar issues. Think what Uncle Jesse would do...would he be disappointed...sure....but he would love him and pray for him...and support him all he could. We Hazzardites should strive to do the same...
  13. He nodded a little, knowing he somehow had to do what she said. Right now though, he was so overwhelmed with stress and grief and worry, he couldn't hit the floor with his hat.
  14. "Sara... I don' wanna be like this..." he murmured hanging his head, no longer the confident young man he had been.
  15. Luke sniffed nodding a little, hoping she was right, holding his stomach.
  16. Luke looked down at his feet. "Am I...gonna,,,get through this?" he asked softly.
  17. Luke sniffed nodding a little, wiping at his eyes. He wanted so much to show her he could handle everything... but it seemed he was fighting a losing battle.
  18. Taking the hint, he pulled away. "M'sorry," he muttered, looking down at his lap.
  19. Poor Luke didn't know what to think. All he knew right now was that the hug felt safe and he was as scared as he had ever been.
