  1. the dukes IN hollywood
  2. I average a daily appearance. I'm from the upper left hand corner of Pennsylvania, Erie PA by Lake Erie. We are about 100 miles from 3 major cities, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Cleveland.
  3. grind (We always used to say "Grind a pound for me" when someone would grind a gear)
  4. You'll blink your eyes and it will be here. Cue the music: It's the most wonderful time of the year.
  5. GAYLORD Duke
  6. The older cars are awesome. I can't do internal engine work and am not good with bodywork but I am a fairly decent mechanic with cars from the 60s and 70s. I can't even replace spark plugs on these new cars....can't even find them half the time.
  7. I bet I've said that 500 times since I've been here.
  8. DIXIE (Daisy's great-grandmother from Go West Young Dukes....and her Jeep....and a place as close to Heaven as you can get, but still be on Earth)

  10. I'm a bit sentimental and always miss people when I see some of these old names. But we have a bunch of new people now so that makes it all better.
  11. Out of reactions but "likes" all around on this thread. The HazzardNet has really been hopping lately!

  15. The Dukes of Hazzard was so popular back then that it actually lowered attendance at Friday night football games across the country because it was before you could record them. I was 19 and never missed an episode. I was born on the day John Schneider turned ONE WEEK old!
  16. As I mentioned in another thread it is so cool to have you here. When they were trying to avoid tearing down the original farmhouse we had the grandson of the farm owner here on HN keeping us updated. How far are you from the original farm.? Any chance of seeing a picture of your car?
  17. Sweet! When you opened up the trunk I thought you were going to pull out a few jugs of shine!
  18. They did the best they could do.....but it was dramatically different. One reason I love the Georgia episodes so much is that the scenery looks like it does around me....even though Lake Erie is a long ways away.
  19. Yes! Someone from Georgia! I think it's been awhile since we've had one. The HazzardNet just got a whole lot better. (not that you can improve perfection). Tell us more about your love of the greatest show in history. How long have you been a fan? Favorite character? Favorite episode? (probably a Georgia one, right?). Ever met any of the stars? Have a lot of Dukes toys and collectibles? Do you have all 7 seasons on DVD? Tell us everything.

  21. Out of reactions but your words are so true Garrett. It's a shame that kids growing up today will never know the fun we had. Most of them are slaves to a tiny screen glued to their eyeballs that is blocking their view of a wide world.
  22. Glad to know you are okay but sorry to hear we can't misbehave without getting in trouble.

  24. I'm the same way. I've only loved a few shows but Dukes is the only one that lasted a lifetime. Everybody was talking about it in 1979 and when I saw my first episode I was hooked. I'm not sure which one it was but it wasn't too long after the debut. I was 19 at the time. I'm 7 days younger than John Schneider.
  25. I'm out of reactions but I'd give a heart to the still scenes and sad face to the move to Hollyweird.
