  1. Only 25 more hours to submit a resolution.... Let's get moving folks. We don't have as many as 2009 and I wanted more.
  2. This has got to be an exciting night for Cletus. Those folks at Times Square in New York City go to all that trouble just to celebrate his birthday....one more hour now....*drumroll*

Welcome to Hazzard County s2n. I'm going to get out my 1981 Dukes soundtrack and check this out. Three things stood out to me. One was St Tropez tan. You might be right about that. I think you're wrong about two on Boss's song. It should be "bleed right through the nose" not "pee right through the nose". I got to admit though, your version is funnier. ROFL Of course the song itself is contradictory because Boss has said that he "don't cotton to no violence" Also on Boss's song, I think it's "ornery as a Georgia mule" not "hungry" as one but I'm not positive. We sure hope you stay here a long time. You sure sound like you belong here.
  4. Another month over, another fan of the month goes into the history book. Today doesn't just start a new month. It starts a new year. It also starts a new decade. A new decade means 120 more fan of the month awards. In honor of a new decade...a fan who was around for most of the old one will be honored as the January Fan of the Month. That fan is Garrett Duke. Don't be fooled by the starting date on Garrett's profile (1-24-04). Garrett has been using a computer long before that to express her love of the greatest show in the history of television. Garrett began ten years ago doing fanfics under the name Kristy Duke and hasn't stopped fanficing since. She has been involved with dozens of fanfics and role plays in the past decade and is currently working on "A Friend's Betrayal" as part of her "Hazzard Unleashed" series. She also has just started another titled "Evicted". Of course Garrett can be found in many more places than just the fanfic neighborhoods. She is very active on many threads and always has something positive to contribute. The old saying "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything" certainly applies to Garrett. Since she started watching Dukes at age 4, it's no surprise some of their ethics have rubbed off on her. Besides loving the Dukes of Hazzard, Garrett also has a lot in common with them. She's a NASCAR fan and is a follower of Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. (I bet she likes Cale Yarborough too). Her favorite color is orange.... the shade of orange the General Lee is painted of course. She is a big country music fan. Her favorites include Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. And the most important thing she has in common with the Dukes is that she considers faith and family to be her top two priorites in life. Garrett's favorite character is Bo. Luke and Jesse are tied for second. She hails from the great state of Iowa and is a big fan of the Chicago Cubs. She loves to read and write and one of her favorite things to do is spend time with her dog Lilly. Garrett loves the HazzardNet because this is absolutely the best place in the world to hang out with people who understand why The Dukes of Hazzard is so awesome. We think Garrett is awesome and thank her for her many contributions to the best website in cyberspace. Keep up the good work Garrett.
  5. Sorry to tell you this Daisy but since we go by Grenwich Mean Time here on the HazzardNet, it's already 2010 even though you haven't celebrated yet. That means that your reign is over. You served honorably. I know the poparazzi were relentless in harrassing you but now it's time for someone else to take the spotlight.
  6. Happy New Year everybody!!!!
  7. Hi texasdaisy. I see you're logged in right now. I hope you have a happy new year. Ya staying up till midnight? I am but I'll be sleeping by midnight Texas-time.

  8. I smiled just reading this post and imagining it *smiles a smile as big as Enos's*
  9. Daisy and daisyxenos both got it right. What year did some of the Dukes of Hazzard stars visit Hazard Kentucky? A) 1981 1985 C) 1990
  10. Since we're all going to be tired on Friday from staying up late, I just wanted to wish you an EARLY Happy Birthday Cletus!! After we wake up maybe we can all meet at the Boar's Nest for our annual New Year's/Cletus's birthday buttermilk. Hopefully it will be a little fresher this year. Boss is such a cheapskate.
  11. *the two Miller children head straight toward the food* Don't look at me. We got the Good Lord to thank for this Christmas miracle. *opens up refrigerator door while whispering to himself* .......and an old ridge runnin' judge
  12. Daisy and Denver C. both got it right. Jesse helps a lady have a baby right on the Duke farm.
  13. This morning I started reading James Best's book "Best in Hollywood". I found out that he was adopted and his birth name was Jewel Franklin Guy. I'm almost 50 and my whole life I'd never heard the first name Jewel before (for a man at least) This evening I went to a college basketball game and (you guessed it) there was a guy named Jewel on the opposing team. After the game I showed him the book and we had a good laugh over the cool coincidence of seeing that name twice in the same day. I was impressed because he knew Rosco's real name. Of course I explained the reason for the change was the adoption. The basketball player was from West Virginia and James was from Kentucky so I wonder if it's a name more common in coal country. Does anybody know?
  14. Unbelievable!!! That's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. You definitely belong here Mike. Incidently, on the episode "Arrest Jesse Duke" the General Lee got converted to four wheel drive.
  15. There is a strict deadline for the New Year's Contest. Your resolution must be in by the end of the day New Year's Day. Specifically, that's 11:59 PM (EST) January 1.
  16. Welcome to Hazzard County Mike. This is the place to be for General Lee fans like you. We hope you stay a long time. I can't wait to see those pictures.
  17. Close daisyxenos. They're all false. These members of the Dukes Family Singers have their instruments mixed up. Match each band member up with their correct instrument. If you're not sure, watch the very last Dukes episode to find the answer. ("Opening Night at the Boar's Nest") Bo---moonshine jug Luke---nothing (only sang) Daisy--washboard Jesse---guitar Cooter---guitar
  18. I'm wondering if our Supreme Superior Commander was born on Christmas Day. I'm assuming she was since MaryAnne posted it on that day. I've always heard people say that Meadowmufn was born in a barn but I'm wondering now if they really meant a manger.
  19. What a hilarious quote Garrett. You really had me ROFL!!
  20. Daisy and Bo got it right. We'll put these 3 Duke or Dupes on this thread since the three correct answers can be found on "The Great Santa Claus Chase" Which of these were on the show? Mr Perkins at the Feed Mill OR Mrs Perkins at the book store Bear's Hollow or Elk Valley Central City or Crawford County
  21. *walks over to the happy young family and hugs all four of them as everybody has a big Christmas miracle smile on their face* "Take yer coats off and sit on down to some ham and sweet potaters . There's plenty fer everybody!"
  22. Hi Bo, I hope you had a Merry Christmas. You should consider entering the New Year's contest.

  23. *Jesse is the only one in the room to have a smile on his face BEFORE the door opens* As it opens, everyone's face lights up (even Boss's) at the sight of Danny and Roxanne Miller and their two kids.
  24. FAST FORWARD TO THE DUKE FARM ON CHRISTMAS EVE The four Dukes, Cooter, Rosco, Cletus, Enos, Boss and Lulu and all sitting in the Dukes living room drinking egg nog and talking about all the fun they've had in past Christmases and joking about how, even 'ol Boss gets generous around this time of year. Enos and Daisy then started discussing which song to sing next. Jesse was putting another hickory log in the fireplace when there came a knocking on the door.
  25. I might be. We'll see soon enough. *smiles one of the biggest smiles the boys have ever seen*
