Well, I'm probably going to make some enemies with this post but the truth must come out. I want Jimmie Johnson to win it all. Early in the NASCAR season that Jimmie won his FIRST cup title, I picked him because I had made the decision that I would start following NASCAR that year and needed to pick a driver. I picked Jimmie simply because his name was Johnson, like Junior Johnson. That's not a very good reason to pick him since I'm sure they're not related but I had to pick someone to follow. I was surprised as anyone that he won it that year but I'm not egotistical enough to think that he won it because of his newest fan..LOL Well, as we now know, my pick turned out to be a good one and since I'm a loyal guy, I'm sticking with him. Normally I like to pull for the underdog but since everyone wants Jimmie to lose, I guess there has to be someone left to be his fan. I'm only posting this because I don't want anyone to think I'm picking Jimmie just because he's so good. I picked him BEFORE he was good. Of course, I never really did follow NASCAR much like I was planning on doing....but I did follow the points standings to see how Jimmie was doing. (Now that I've revealed publically that I'm pulling for J.J. he'll probably lose..LOL) Poor Garrett, no NASCAR this weekend. What are you going to do with all that extra time?

For those of you who might have noticed my goof-up, Daney is a member of the thousand post club, not the thousand point club...LOL I'd correct it but it's past the deadline to edit.

It's quiet. Too quiet. Them fellers must be up to something. That always makes me nervous.

April 1st is Sadie Hogg Day in Hazzard County so things are always a little confusing around Hazzard on the first day of this month. One thing we're not confused about is how much we love DaneyDuke and that's why she has been selected as HazzardNet's Fan of the Month for April 2010. Daney is one of the few folks still active on the HazzardNet who have been around since it's early years. She's certainly seen a lot since those good old days and she's hung around for many reasons, including the feeling that the folks here are like a second family to her. Combine that with the fact that the Dukes of Hazzard is the greatest show in history and that's all Daney needs to be dedicated for nearly a decade to the best website on the internet. When you log onto the HazzardNet you can see that she's all over the place on this great site. Like a Rosco P. Coltrane speedtrap, you never know where she'll pop up next. You can find her on fanfics, round robins and role plays. She's always updating folks on current events, talking in the chat room, or contributing to many various threads all over the HazzardNet forums. She has been a Dukes fan since the show was originally on CBS on Friday nights and loves every one of the characters (even Boss). She has met several of the stars and has attended the grandaddy of all Dukes events, the DukesFest. She loves the Dukes of Hazzard because it's family-centered, fun-filled and teaches the importance of good old-fashioned values. She is a member of the thousand point club with over 1,300 and is just getting started. She counts such episodes as "Daisy's Song", "Witness-Jesse Duke" and "Ten Million Dollar Sheriff" as some of her favorites. When she's not busy watching a Dukes episode or posting on HazzardNet, Daney spends her time reading, listening to music, taking pictures and swimming. The cold temperatures will soon be a thing of the past and spring is in the air. That always makes folks around Hazzard feel young and new. It's nice to have a few new members around here to make things exciting and fresh like spring. We always love new folks here. Daney certainly ISN'T one of those fresh faces in town. She's been around a long time and her input has been valuable in helping the moderators mold the HazzardNet into what it is today. For all her contibutions through the years, the new and old folks of HazzardNet are very grateful. You're awesome Daney! Thanks for all you do.

LOL I'm serious T.J. Did you think I was trying to pull an April Fool's joke? They really do celebrate Sadie Hogg Day on April 1 in Hazzard County. -

Here's some Dukes trivia. April 1st is Sadie Hogg Day so if you notice a little gender confusion here on the HazzardNet on Thursday, that's the reason. -
Thanks for the update Garrett. Those Monday races couldn't possibly get many TV viewers. I was reading in the paper that's a pretty short track. You're right about Junior Johnson. He's a real legend. I saw a story about him once. It was quite awhile ago but I remember them saying he's the one everybody thinks of first when they're talking about the founders of NASCAR. How old is Joey Logano....... a teenager?

Congratulation Min!! He's perfect. Ethan Duke.... *in Rosco voice* I love it. I love it. A job well done Min. Congrats!

Poor Lulu. She doesn't get much action on her forum here on the HazzardNet but I'm sure she knows we love her anyway. Happy birthday today Lulu! I hope your cheapstake husband actually bought you something this year.

That's awesome about Jesse's birthday. Thanks for telling me. Where will the hall of fame be? Like GLG said, please update us on the race Garrett. Maybe list the top ten or five finishers if you can.

Since I know both songs, this is going to be a 50-50 guess which came first. Old Time Lovin' -
Whenever I retire and have a little more time on my hands I want to buy an old fixer up to work on. I love working on older cars. There's a real sense of satisfaction knowing you fixed something. That's becoming a thing of the past.

Hey Bo, it seems to me that the yellow hat you're talking about is the same one Cooter had worn before. Must be Bo gave it to Cooter years later.

You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet (Normally I go with older country songs but this is an older rock song)

Old Cale never made it down to the Boar's Nest fer that buttermilk. Word is Rosco has him in the pokey after catching him in that speedtrap up there on Old Post Road. I guess Cale didn't get my warning.
